  1. Same thing! I googled for a forum to join that wasn't particuarly an Anime forum. So I chose the MLP fandom, and I haven't regretted it. Do you prefer Elves or Dwarves? (Fantasy setting, obviously.)
  2. I draw, but I also like to colour, and read as well as collect music boxes, snow globes, buddahs, dragons, Lion King stuff, anything Death related such as skeletons, Dia de los Muertes, Grim Reaper, Scythes (I have a Scythe!), coffins, etc. I also collect pony stuff (though not as much as I used to, that stuff is expensive nowadays!), and if you want to count Anime as a hobby, that too. I also... *turns red a bit* like to collect stuff with hearts on it. I go crazy at Valentines Day buying cups, glasses, stickers, stuff like that.
  3. Oh... well wow. Reading through some of these, you guys got off decently easy. If you want "WORST thing I ever did----" well it's not something I'm willing to share, but I will say it was quite illegal. <___< But just so we are clear, it wasn't a crime of a sexual nature, and it wasn't murder.
  4. "This is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars Quite unsuccessfully I might add, I can't sing very high or screech. I'm more of a Frank Sinatra level voice.
  5. Hmmm *taps chin* I would have to say a three-way tie between Lion King, How to Train Your Dragon and Coco. Favourite Horror movie?
  6. My sweet, sweet Mortuary skills and the work I do for the community at large. Same question, what do you want to be famous for?
  7. Oh dear, I'm surprised you don't know! It was Disney/Pixar's newest movie that came out in November of last year. It won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature and an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. Here is one of the official trailers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjudmcSxzpc I highly reccomend it!
  8. So I am going to go out on a limb and post something that I am not particularly proud of and wish to redo in the future. Please note, again I plan on RE-DOING this because I do not like how it turned out. I want to do elf-like ears instead next time, and a few adjustments to the body. Overall though I would like some critiuqe on how I should handle the revamp. I have done a few others, but this one was my favourite out of the ones I did, so unless requested, I won't post the others. ^__^;; I adore centaurs so, voila! Rarity Centaur!
  9. Hey, I send you a friend request via Discord if that was okay,!

I'm Húrin Telchar- if you'd like to chat sometime!

      Kyoshi Frost Wolf

Thanks. I will be sure to do that sometime. I've just been feeling down today. Happens to me a lot.

  10. I'm feeling relaxed. A bit hungry, but about ready to pour myself a shot of Bird Dog Peach whiskey. Things will get more relaxed after that. Also thinking about watching Coco with the hubby tonight. What do you guys think?
  11. I hate Frozen, and Steven Universe, though I'm getting a bit more lax on the latter. It's the fanbase that shoved me away from it. And as someone in their 30's I suppose you could say I'm a bit biased but when young little punk wants to come online and say how Frozen is better than Lion King my nerd rage wants to punch the screen. XD That aside, the movie was really nothing special. Up, Inside Out and Coco beat Frozen by lightyears.
  12. I think the only thing that makes me the most upset about the verbal abuse, is simply the misunderstanding of the fandom as a whole and what we stand for. The biggest one being that everyone wants to assume we are pedophiles. That makes me extremely angry. Because pedohiles deserve to be shot via firing squad in my opinion. I'm one for Justice and while I believe that in most instances right to fair trial is needed----I certainly don't think that of pedophiles. The minute there is evidence, you don't bother locking them up, you just take them into custody, take them out back and take care of them Old Yeller style. Harsh, but it's deserved.
  13. Of course we are all going to die. Heck, I look forward to my Death. ^-^ And to me, it's not morbid at all, but again, this is my work, this is my life, my passion. It's Death. That's what I do. There are more corporate aspects of the job I am not happy with, but as a whole, it is what I have devoted my heart and soul to. While the journey you took with that person is a great thing to keep with you, not everyone functions that way. Everyone has their own way of dealing with grief. The way you do it, is actually not that uncommon, and people's views are constantly in flux as they get older and experience things through life. I'm not sitting here sagely saying "yours will change", I don't know if they will or won't. In fact, I'm not trying to convince you to change anything. I think that everyone's personal views and experiences help them cope (or not cope in some cases) with life and the pains that come par for the course. It seems his death did effect you and there was some remorse there. That's' why a lot of people hold funerals in a high esteem because it gives them that chance to let it all out, then usually at the wake, is when people eat, sit down and share stories and memories of that person. We all experience life differently, we all deal with death differenlty. You're no exception, and I think its the differences that make the whole experience interesting.
  14. It does, and depending on the piece I am writing, I have to adjust that. Such as a symposium for my work, or a speech on statistics, proposals for the business/industry, things of that sort. However, when I'm on here, I tend to type exactly as I speak. But if I'm writing a story, it depends on the type of story I'm writing that dictates how I write it. Simple as that. So worry not, my friends, how I type on here is how I speak in real life! ; 3
  15. Oh my goodness, I adore school! Especially College! I love learning, I love acedemics and I believe humanity thrives and grows on education and knowledge! Bring on teaching me new things all day every day! I love to read and expand my view on the world at large!
  16. I have, but I don't think I'd go again. I don't particuarly like rock concerts because of all the bumping, jumping, pushing and shoving. I prefer theatre houses, and opera settings. Places where you can go in, watch them perform it, or choose to close your eyes and just enjoy the music. At rock concerts I don't feel you can really.. enjoy the music. Too many people grab onto that mob mentality and start acting like right arseholes. Shows their plain idiocy and inability to think for themselves. Quite distasteful, honestly.
  17. Oh absolutely! Making friends is always a fun adventure. I'm described by friends and family as quite boisterous, inviting, warm and friendly. (I'm a Leo, it comes naturally, if you believe that sort of thing ;3 ). I like starting up coversations, even with strangers because you never know what you can learn from someone else. I've always wanted to go to that one "world library" where you can "check out" a person and sit and listen to their life stories, experiences and journeys in life. Great conversation can almost always be had.
  18. Okay, so let's ask a Mortician this question shall we? *cracks knuckles* While it is true without funerals I technically wouldn't have a job---putting that aside, I first want to address something mentioned earlier about "Depends on if your Christian." That my friend, has absolutely zero anything to do with anything. Many Non-Christian dogmas have funerals. It's how the funerals are performed that makes the difference. Now, moving on from that, my opinion on the matter is: Funerals are not for the dead. They are for the living. They are there to give honour and remembrance to the person who has passed on, and meant to be a sense of closure. Now, everyone religion does their funerals differently. Some are more sombre in nature, others are a bit more lively and focus more on the deceased life and who they were and celebrating that. Grief is a natural phase and emotion people go through in life, in fact, it's quite healthy to experience grief and work through it. It's all part of the human condition and experience. No one likes it, but it's a neccessary emotion you must process. In a healthy manner. I am aware that they are many who take grief, twist it, and instead of growing, coming to terms, healing and moving forward... they turn it inwards and regress. I've seen both things happen. And trust me, it's obvious, the latter isn't pretty and it can be one of the most difficult things someone has to deal with not only personally, but to be a friend or family member and watching someone else spiral like that. Anyway, funerals are meant to be a catharsis---they are meant to help you tie up those loose, ends, grieve, cry and then heal and move on. That's why it's very popular (though remember, not in all cultures, and dogmas) to have a body viewing. Seeing the deceased once more, adds to that sense of closure. (Unless it's one of those unfortunate situations where the deceased was in an accident that horribly mauled or disfigured them and ya know, as Morticians we can only do so much, and thus a closed casket funeral is suggested and even urged.) Even those that choose cremation can opt to have a body viewing before we cremate them. So while I understand everyone has their own opinions, and you are entitled to it, just please take it from someone who's in the business, that I have seen very, very very many benefits to Funerals (of all kinds,) that are very much not pointless. If you personally have ANY questions at all on funerals, what they do, the good they do, or just the process in general, or even the psychology behind it, please, feel free to ask here or message me.
  19. Purchased tickets to Deadpool 2. It was amazing.
  20. I hate that people ship characters with other characters. I hate how Spike is underappreciated when he obviously has shown all Elements of Harmony within himself/his own personality just naturally. No one gives him respect. Everytime I hear Fluttershy's voice, it's like nails on a chalkboard I was really disappointed in Rainbow Dash's parents. Not to mention the creepy "we saved this diaper" thing, and they ended up giving it to Scootaloo? HOW. CREEPY. AND. GROSS. IS. THAT?! WHO GREENLIT THAT FOR THE SHOW? SOME FREAK WITH A FETISH IS WHAT IT WAS. People like that need to be beaten within an inch of their gross little lives. I wish the Dragons looked better and weren't depicted as mostly big, stupid, ugly, brutish and destructive.
  21. 1. What grade did you learn to type in? And have you ever used an ordinary typewriter, whether it was electric or manual? I don't remember the grade, but it was Middle School I believe 2. What was your first home video game system and what year did you get it? The first video game system I ever owned was an N64 with Pokemon Stadium and PokemonSnap 3. What is the oldest car, make and model year, you can remember your family owning? I am not aware because I was orphaned as a child and grew up under state care. 4. Did you ever have first generation My Little Ponies or Transformers? If so, when did you get them? I did not have either. 5. Who was the earliest president, prime minister, governor, head honcho, etc. of your country that you have a first hand memory of? The only one I can really remember was Bill Clinton 6. Do you recall smoking being allowed in workplaces where you live? US members under 20 will generally say no but answers from other countries may vary. Yes, mostly in restaurants. 7. Did you ever use old-style roller skates instead of roller blades? Yes of course, but I preferred roller blades 8. Did you ever use a pre-Windows PC? No, always used Windows except for a small stint in college where I used a MAC. (fun fact: I hate Macs and all apple products -___-;) 9. Remember “Be kind, please rewind”? Of course! 10. Name the first big blockbuster movie you recall watching in a theater that wasn't a re-release. I saw Jurrassic Park and Lion King when they came out in theaters ^__^
  22. Well only for therapudic reasons do I see a point in that. Otherwise it can more often than not lead to chronic sadness which is better known as depression. And that is certainly not a hole you want to purposefully put yourself in. Enough people already have clinical depression not by their choice, and it's a living nightmare. So not to be rude, but aside from just going through normal emotions for therapuic reasons I see no good coming out of purposefully making yourself sad all the time.
  23. Not to be rude, but why is this a question? Not only is it a strange question in and of itself but it's somewhat personal and a wee bit disgusting. Did you honestly just pull this question out of thin air or just complete morbid curiosity?
  24. To me it depends on my mood. If I want to watch an Anime but do something else as well such as draw, I usually put on the dubbed, because I can't keep looking up from what I'm doing to read the subtitles otherwise. Now, also it dpeneds on the voices. If I like the English dub and/or I cannot stand the Japanese voices then I usually watch it in English. On the other hand, sometimes I despise the English voices and will watch it in Japanese. And usually my last reason from picking Dubbed, is.... well sometimes I just don't feel like reading my Anime. That's what Manga is for. *laughs*
  25. At what rank do you get a personalised Title underneath your username? ^__^;; that is the one thing I have wondered.
