  1. The Internet has a tendency to treat what isn't scary as horrors among unspeakable horrors, so you aren't the only one.
  2. As I've said in the Pony Bulletin thread on the subject, he's a shock jock. Shock jocks aren't worth getting upset over because what they do is in their name: They shock.
  3. Even disregarding the precedent previous MLP generations set, the current incarnation remains intended for little girls. Because it's a quality show, its appeal reaches to a wider audience, but that doesn't change the fact that little girls are its primary audience. Think of something like Sesame Street that has the intention of educating children, but has qualities, references, and variety in characters that help make it something the parents can watch and enjoy as well, in contrast to a generically saccharine show like Barney & Friends.
  4. Eureka 7 is all that comes to mind.
  5. They'd only be smoking marijuana in an alternate universe. One where they're all Snoop Dogg.
  6. Insects. Flying ones especially. Uck...
  7. I don't take ponies very seriously. They're relaxing for me and make me happy, but even so I don't treat it too differently from other franchises I enjoy.
  8. The well-known Tetris theme is a Russian folk song. The sprite for Registeel in Pokemon: Diamond & Pearl looks similar to a Nazi salute. Because of this, the non-English European versions have the sprite edited so the saluting arm is instead at the side. In Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver, the non-Nazi pose is used in all versions. Due to disputes over Kirby's color, (whether to make him pink or yellow) the American box art for his first game displays him as white.
  9. The "2012 world gunna end" predictions are chock full of hoo ha. The world will end eventually, but an ancient civilization isn't going to prophecize it.
  10. I quite like drawing, even if I don't do it terribly often.
  11. My grandpa (may he rest in peace; he died last year at 86) was a WWII veteran. He even saw General Patton. I'll never be in the military myself as I'm far too soft, but I have the utmost respect for those who are.
  12. I usually start with normal. I might go to hard if I still have interest in the game after a while.
  13. I wish I weren't so overly sensitive. I had been even worse in the past, but it's still quite lousy. A close second would to be much less of a procrastinator.
  14. One of the ponies inserted into the ET video game. That game finally has a redeeming quality to it.
  15. I'd be okay with a few speaking cameos, but nothing more. The background aspect to those characters is part of their charm.
  16. I went there eons ago. I recall having a Flotsam because I love dolphins.
  17. Being with her best friends is priority for now. For her becoming a Wonderbolt is an important goal but also long term.
  18. It's a good effort, and a suitable humanization. However the legs do look out of place due to how her skirt is drawn - the skirt's angle would suit upright legs rather than the position for the legs you used.
  19. Y'know what'd be amusing? Dragonshy going huuuhhh.... yaaaay only it ends up burning some scenery.
  20. I wonder if it'd be some sort of curse a dragon puts on Flutter. Either way it'll be interesting to see how Flutter handles it.
  21. Welcome! We're friendly folk here; hope that ya have a swell time.
  22. I have yet to get any figures, (I'll get some eventually) but I'm impressed by how similar these are to the show compared to some of the others I've seen.
  23. Lovely work. Fits the feel of the song, lovely in itself, quite nicely.
  24. It's a fair thing to do with rational people, but the "go-out-of-their-way" sort of people I refer to probably aren't ones who will be willing to have rational convo. So ignoring 'em like they're nothing is the best route IMO.
