  1. Alright... first 8 minutes of this and I've already seen Spike getting flattened by a book, getting overwhelmed with work, getting yelled at by Twilight, almost getting shot in the face with a magic beam and getting smacked to the side with Piknie's party cannon. And by the looks of it: Luna, Shining Armor and Cadance are going to have major roles in this episodes. Eeyup... Comic relief Spike that gets to do nothing relevant in a two-parter episode... here we go again! Other than that, this looks great... I'm looking forward to see how things unfolds.
  2. Yeah, Spike episodes are apparently not so loved . It irks me sometimes how the fandom barely look at him as a character in the show, considering how he sticks around Twilight and the rest of the mane 6 most the time. I really like to see more cool and awesome Spike moments in season 3, because right now, he suffers the same syndrome as Applejack (only far far worse).
  3. Too Many Pinkie Pies: This just screams pure insanity... I love Pinkie and I'm really looking forward to this. Wonderbolt Academy: Rainbow Dash episode, obviously .. Hmm.. maybe the lesson here is teamwork. Dash will probably learn that there is no an "I" in team. One Bad Apple: This could be bullying episode that they have mentioned before. Sleepless in Ponyville: I have no idea honestly... Flashback episode maybe? Magic Duel: Twilight episode definitely.. duh... maybe Trixie will return in this? Apple Family Reunion: This sounds interesting, hopefully we will get more background on Applejack's past. Spike at your Service: Holy shit! A Spike episode? And here I thought he will get none this season. Maybe this episode is about Spike getting overworked by Twilight and the rest of the ponies. Hopefully we will get to see Spike's bad side for the first time. Wait... Spike episodes are somehow considered a bad thing?
  4. Spike became my favorite pony character after the season 1 finale, when I realized how complex he is and the amazing potential he has, before that I actually didn't care about him. Twilight and Applejack have been always favorites of mine as well. Rarity has massively grown on me. But I have to say that currently my favorite pony is Pinkie, she is just over the top funny
  5. My prediction: Twilight will get the most episodes. The CMC, Applejack and Spike will get the least amount (With Spike probably getting none due to the shortened season), and Spike won't do anything significant in the two-parter episode.
  6. Yeah, I understand that. The thing is I consider Spike to be part of the main cast, although I admit his position in the show is really confusing. That said, back on topic, I think any of them dying will be equally tragic.
  7. A Spike episode that deals with the consequences of being the only dragon that lives among ponies (seriously, that topic gets severely downplayed in the show).
  8. I disagree. In my opinion, Spike is the one who is really unappreciated in the series. Fans barely think of him when they discuss the show. If Spike were to die (or if he is written off) I probably quit watching the show.
  9. The moral is great for an episode, but I think is better if Twilight and the others are also involved in it, since the mane 6 (specially Twilight) have the tendency of taking Spike for granted. You know what would make a really interesting episode? A Spike episode WITHOUT Twilight and Rarity.
  10. Not the only dragon in Ponyville, he maybe is the only dragon in all Equestria. I like that Idea, I have an episode idea in which he has a regular growth spurt and suddenly a lot of ponies became scared of him and became concerned about their future. I wrote a synopsis about this idea some time ago... Also I always liked the idea of Spike turning himself into a pony, but instead of doing it because of Rarity, he might end up doing it because he feels inferior to the ponies, after all, living with them all the time and watching all the awesome stuff they can do, including sonic rainbooms, the stare, elements of harmony, etc., he might come to the conclusion that ponies are awesome and since he is not a pony, he is not awesome.
  11. I like Spike a lot, he is one of the most interesting characters in the show and it saddens me that fans barely give him any credit, and the interesting thing is that I didn't care about him at all when I started watching the series, I just saw him as just that "assistant kid" and never gave him a lot of attention; after all he is not a pony, why should I care about him?... but everything changed when I saw the season 1 finale. There, we saw that Spike was really happy to go the gala, he wanted to spend a good time with the ponies and have fun with them, but before going to the actual gala: Spike got ditched by the ponies in less than two seconds and ended up in Pony Joe's for the rest of the night drowning his sorrows with donuts. I felt sorry for him when I saw that because I realized how easy is to forget him. We all know how bad that night was for the mares, but have we ever stopped to think how awful the night probably was for Spike? Aimlessly wandering around, bored, alone, depressed, completely forgotten. Damn... that sucks. After that I started to see Spike from another perspective, and realized that he is actually a very interesting character with a lot of potential that I want to see. Yeah, I went from not caring about him at all, to be one his biggest fans.
  12. Obviously Celestia neuralyzes everypony's brains after the mane 6 defeats the villain, so no one can remember anything about that, this is in order for the mane 6 to be treated like regular everyday ponies and thus, be able to learn about the basics of friendship.
  13. I don't know, IMO the Changelings are much like insects, they have lots of drones and one queen that commands them, in this case Chrysalis, and she is depicted as the EVIL villain and the only Changeling capable of speech and thinking, and the worst part is the way they feed, that alone just makes them parasites. I want to see more about Changelings too, but I don't think they could be used in a scenario like that. They're just an parasitic species and will be hard to believe that something good can come from them. If you ask me, I think dragons are the best choice for this. It makes sense for the ponies to fear them and think they're evil, since they are depicted as big, powerful, greedy and strong beasts, however each individual dragon is shown be sentient and also capable to have emotions, so is not far fetched seeing a nice dragon family or a hidden dragon civilization in the future. Also we got Spike, an established main character that is the only one from a completely different species that lives among the ponies, so... I can see Spike getting a lot of prejudice from the ponies. In fact I posted an episode idea in another thread some time ago that deals with this scenario:
  14. I don't know really. I didn't even think that much about SpikexRarity when I started watching the show, I thought it was weird until Secret of my Excess, now I think they are cute . He maybe looks like a baby dragon, but he behaves nothing like a baby. He acts more like a 12-13 year old kid, a rather mature one as a matter of fact.
  15. Humans on FiM? Oh dear lord, no.. just no. The ponies feel human enough and that's what I like about this series. I will stop watching FiM if humans were to appear in this series.
  16. Me: "Dude don't look at me like that! I'm just as confused as you are, seriously! I am not into horses dammit!! "
  17. I would be asking myself how the hell she got into my house.
  18. Oh yes! More characters going crazy will be great. I think the 2 characters that I want to go crazy the most are Applejack and Spike. I think that Applejack may receive some competition from another farmer family and the fear of going out of business will make her go insane. Seeing the most level-headed character going crazy will be too awesome. And since Spike is the character that is taken for granted the most by the ponies, he may get sick of it and go completely apeshit. Seeing the character that no one takes seriously going nuts, will be too awesome as well
  19. IMO, Spike's grown-up form we saw in Secret of My Excess is not his ultimate one, nor he will remain as a baby dragon forever (a concept that I find really absurd). I think the greed based growth spurt we saw in that episode was treated pretty much as a some kind of mutation, something that was not natural. I think Spike will grow normally pretty soon. That sounds neat. I actually have an episode idea revolving Spike growing up a little and having to face that now that he is bigger more ponies will see him as a threat.
  20. I voted Loyalty, even though I think Spike is an amalgam of all the other elements. He also has displayed generosity and kindness the most. I remember Spike burning a feather with his hand out of anger in Owl's Well That Ends, so by logic Spike may be able to do this: Hasbro, make it happen!!
  21. Yeah, I imagine Spike singing a song about how awesome is being a pony. I think it the episode could go in a similar way to the Nutty Profesor, the potion has a time limit so Spike has to constantly drink it in order to keep being a pony. Maybe at the end of the episode there is a monster that captures the mane 6 and Spike saves them by using his dragon abilities.
  22. I always liked this concept and I think this would make a great episode. Think about it: Spike willingly uses a magic potion or something that turns him into a pony, firmly believing that will make him cooler, have more fun and just be normal among the other ponies. What are your thoughts about this? What type of pony Spike may be? What will be his cutie mark? He will finally have a chance with Rarity like this?
  23. It surprises me how many people here tend to forget Spike, the goddamn main male character. Just give Spike more screentime and awesome moments, and that will be enough. We don't need any aditional main male characters in this show, specially if they're just going to be a love interest for any of the main 6. The cast is great just the way it is.
  24. The females dominate Equestria alright, but the girls doesn't seem to care about it and neither do the guys. So I'm cool about it. No, no, no, no, no... The most prominent male character in this show is Spike. He is the only male character with episodes on his own.
  25. Yeah, probably that episode will make Spike look completely lame.
