    Hold Up, I hate Equestria Girls, and love Twilicorn. Don't lump me in with the people that whine about everything. And yes, I know what an example is, but I maintain the right to correct you. Oh and silly boy, "dropping the label" doesn't change a thing. @Gamer Twilight Yes, and I'm happy about that. I hate Hiveminds and I'm happy that the entire brony community isn't completely agreeing on everything, we're not a damn cult. That being said, I almost never like the opposite side of whatever I like or don't like.

    You'd have to be in some serious denial to think that aliens don't exist. That throughout this entire, infinite universe, we're the only planet with life. Plus, all those unexplained UFO sightings that have been dating back for thousands of years.

    Well since it's not really canon, I'm not sure how much of that movie we can take as a thing, BUT the fact that without her element she was still able to channel harmony kinda says something about her new power. But I'll agree with you, Celestia and Luna are still the gods up high of Equestria, Twilight's a demi.

    This basically. After months of people screaming at me to "Give it a chance" even though even the most naive person imaginable could tell that the idea was complete crap, I went in with an open mind, genuinely hoping it would be a good movie. While there are a few things that made me laugh, for a long time, I was ont he fence. One day though, I realized that I despised this movie. I despise the fact that Hasbro actually made a High School AU canon, I despise the fact that there are plot holes left and right, I despise the fact that Flash Sentry was brought in JUST to give Twilight a love interest. No character of his own, he's just there to be 'cool', I despise the fact that Twilight immediately falls for the pony version, which just makes her look like a huge slut. And above all else, I despise the fact that Equestria, a beautiful world of magic and mythology, was dropped in favor of a 'human' world for the MLP movie. Sunset Shimmer was a godawful villain and the way she was defeated was so stupid and overused. They really couldn't come up with a new way besides the unstoppable Rainbow? So I did give it a chance. And I am incapable of seeing how anyone on Earth can look at this and call it a good movie. Yeah it's cute, yeah the songs are catchy. but this movie is just bad. And next time someone tells me to stop being a hypocrite by judging a book by it's cover, I will point to this movie. I love FiM, but that does not mean that I should love or even like everything those dirty bastards at Hasbro put out, I did not sign my soul away when I became a brony. I am a person, I am not part of a hivemind, and I refuse to join a "Oh this movie's great guys" bandwagon. So yeah, nah, didn't like it.

    I'd love if this was true, because it would tell me that the writers aren't so bad. I hated Flash Sentry because he was so damn bland and Gary Stuish, and I can totally believe that Hasbro shoehorned him in.

    Well the first thing I'll do is make sure that the fandom thoroughly gone in about 10 years. Because assuming the show is going to be over in less than 5 years, I don't want to think about the people still clinging as though there lives depended on it 10 years after the fact. Move on, man. For your sake. Anyway, more to the point. I agree with you OP, I'll see it as a time when I was happier and when I found a show that I really did enjoy, even though it was something for kids.

    As a Twilight Fan, I got to say that I couldn't care less about Twilight having a lot of spot light now. It's something I feel Mccarthy has done right.

    I have an idea: The Plot could be Brad and Twilight getting into a battle of the bands to save the school music program, which is actually a front for the source of all magic in Equestria... But seriously, a major problem with EqG is that it's really....pointless except for the crown. I can't see what they could possibly make up to have the Human World be relevant again, but whatever it would be would be extremely one dimensional. And who wants to trade in Cute Ponies on Adventures for High School cliches again anyway?

    It's easier to talk about the positives of something than the negatives. And even then, what's the point? You know what parts you liked, and there are a lot of people here who thought it was a 10/10 movie...somehow.

    Gotta tell you. I have no idea how that happened. No idea where you got that little strawman from, my point is that it's starting to appear more as arrogant than loving. Not even starting really, it's been this way for a while. It's easy to get though. And that too. That kind of hypocrisy shouldn't be coddled, it should be confronted. But that's more a complaint about people in general than just bronies.

    That's another thing. I feel like a lot bronies stopped making big content about the show out of love, or fun. I feel like now it's starting to become a popularity contest, or just constant attempts to cash in on other fans. It's not "Do your best", now it's just "Pander or be ignored" like how so many people are starting to latch onto the popular background characters. For example, Vinyl and Octavia and keep propagating that really dumb idea that they're the best of friends for no other reason than that they're both muscians. Because everyone with an instrument magically knows each other. I digress. Original content isn't original anymore. It's just building off of other peoples ideas. And before you ask, I'm aware of the whole "Every idea is already taken" thing Obviously, not all of them, maybe not even most of them. But enough that it's noticeable. I think that it's getting to be where people just can't tell the difference. Fanon isn't constrained by anything like the real show, that's its greatest strength. But I think more than a few bull headed persons are staring to expect too much from FiM to keep up with what we're putting out. I love MLP, let's get that straight, but I know that there are things they can't do. Things that can be done by fanimations. Now, my personal belief is that the fandom and it's works should always be secondary to the actual show. Nothing disgust me more than people putting us on a pedestal and forgetting why we're all here to start with. Being lost in their own egos. Surely, we can all agree with that. Okay, I never said anything along the lines of "All fan content is bad"

    Well, I got the idea from looking at the Avatar of a friend of mine here on the forums and I thought about Rarity, and how I used to feel that, in a way, she's objectively best pony. What with her having a goal that's shared by most human beings: rising from the depths of anonymity and becoming popular. And the whole "Was this any other show, she'd be a mean girl. But not here" I also think she's objectively really pretty. But i digress, I just thought that she would be a better candidate than anyone other than Twilight. Believe me, I know that the idea is kinda stupid. It just crossed my mind one day and I couldn't get it out.

    Fanart, Fanfiction? Every fandom does that, no problem. Making and selling T-shirts, dolls and sculptures? We're large enough for that to work, so why not? Hosting over 5 Cons and meetups per year, producing/creating/funding our own animated spins on MLP....I'm starting to grow concerned. I've always enjoyed the better half of the fan content we put out, but now I'm starting to think that it's getting to be a little much. Won't be long until a group can make another show in the shadow of Hasbro and DHX and keep that going far past MLP's inevitable end. Now, I've been in fandoms where animations have been made, they're bound to happen. But they've never been so numerous and so perfect, so seamless. Add that to this growing mindset running rampant in the brony community that fanon ≥ canon and they(Show people) be twisting around to please us and I'm starting to feel a threat of rampant fan of the fandom elitism creeping across the interwebs. So yeah, anyone else sharing my dread, or is it all unfounded?

    Sombra was truly a genius. He planned out every step of his return and the only reason he lost was because Spike was there. That is a great villian to me, someone who wasn't exactly outsmarted or trumped. The good guys just got lucky. Since Discord was actually redeemed, it's safe to say that Sombra is my favorite villain. But I guess most other bronies don't see the appeal because he wasn't as silly as Discord, or they couldn't make as many naughty pictures of him like with Chrysalis.

    Yes, yes, and yes. Even King Sombra is objectively a better villain. And in addition to being a horrid villain and a generic mean girl, am I really expected to believe that she so easily redeemed herself? I got to tell you, I do not understand you at all. But I will respect your opinion enough to leave it at that. Because everything done by Nightmare Moon and King Sombra was just for show, right? Every other villain just wanted to take her out for stale tea and crumpets?

    With Rarity becoming Alicorn Princess? Seeing as how she's the one that didn't get an episode, that'd be the Ultimate "I'm sorry" to her fans, right? Myself I'd be livid, but I just wonder, would the fan reaction had been better or worse? Edit: I fucked up the title. I meant to put season 3, I feel like most of you got that though.
