You had me reading that clear to the end, expecting it to get really weird with watermelons. Sun-butt would be proud of that story though.

Favorite Rarity Style?
Puddlejumper replied to ghostfacekiller39's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
THIS! Seriously though, I said other because I loved her as Radiance. Cute yet fierce. She owned that outfit, and the powers that came with it. Princess Platinum is another good choice too IMO. I'd... worship that. looks like she's onto me! *dashes* Let's be honest though, can you go wrong when it comes to picking a "best" Rarity? I think not. Something I noticed while trying to find pics of Rarity's outfits, there are like none of her Nightmare Night costume. -
Lack of AJ is uncool. Oh wait, I get it... "International Women's Day? Y'all can have yer fancy tea parties and play dress up, I'll be busy in the orchard doing the hard work that'll actually make a statement. Oh, and Rainbow, that color looks real good on ya! *walks out door laughing*" On a more serious note, Trixie is my doodle so I didn't see it until I just went and checked it out. I can understand ponies not being in it, I can't put into words why I feel that way but it's there. Honestly having Dora and Chamki in it was kind strange I felt since they were the only non-humans, and they were not shown until close to the end. If they had more cartoon characters spread throughout the video it would have been less weird, and then maybe the ponies would have made it.

gaming MLP Fighting is Magic Tribute Edition Released!
Puddlejumper replied to ~SadisticFluttershy~'s topic in Media Discussion
Basically. Do you have wine/have you used it before? If not there are great tutorials out there, and an official wiki. Make sure you specify OS X is looking up info since it is also for Linux. It basically is a free/opensourced way to install or run Windows programs without having to use Boot Camp or a program like Parallels. Unless you are running something older than XP, or are using a Mac, XPadder will work. Just to be clear though since you've never said, you did go into the options at the top of the window and under Game checked the box for Joystick clear at the bottom correct? As well as then setting up your buttons in the Joystick menu? -

You need to use Wine as there is not a true mac version I believe. At least that's what I think I read, I never bothered looking anymore into it since my "mac" only has a 1024x600 resolution (hackintosh dell mini 10v). -
Should they bring Nightmare Moon back?
Puddlejumper replied to Cloud Runner's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Yea it'll never happen and that's for the best. Luna was set free from her corruption so there really isn't a way for NMM to return within the lore of the show. The comics are basically an alternate dimension and there NMM was caused by some dark entities. They came back for revenge and used Rarity as a host this time around and then were defeated for good. All the critters that were playing host for weaker, minion entities turned back into their former selves and everyone went back to living their happy lives on the moon. Moral of the story, you should be reading the comics if you're not. -

I've ran into missing dll issues in the past and the only way I could solve the problem was to download just that missing file and install it. Just be very careful doing so, watch what site you get it from and that the file is legit (dll-files is a good place). You could as a first step reinstall MSVSCR 2010 though and see if it works for you. I never had much luck that way, YMMV. -

I see now, that's what I get for not zooming the pic. It looked like colored pencil to me when zoomed out, and couldn't make out the heart either. My bad. And 50 OCs? Dang... you're almost as crazy as I was when I played WoW.

She looks nice, unique mane coloring too that works well I think. Since you say it's mainly a color test, I hope this won't come across rude but just as creative suggestions.Only two things that I might tweak is change the pure white to more of an off white or cream color since pure white is normally avoided, not even Rarity or Vinyl are pure. Also a tweak on the cutie mark, rather than have the strawberries floating above the coffee, have one resting on it's side on top of the drink. Like a cherry on top of an ice cream sundae.

Are you using the Option>Joystick menu at the very top of the window to setup the controller buttons? The controls are very old school, so if all you have to compare them to is SSB, Injustice, MK, or many other recent 3D style fighting games then it could be confusing I imagine. These controls are like how MK used to be, or like the old KI, Street Fighter, Primal Rage, and all those old 2D style games. The difficulty is fairly difficult though since there aren't any settings for that right now. I'm pretty sure it's just set to "hard". -
Voice actors for a big budget FIM movie!
Puddlejumper replied to Rarity Paige Belle's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Except that we don't need that. FIM is a very good thing in that it has broken down stereotyped gender walls. This show needs no help crossing the gender acceptance line except in the eyes of those who are stuck in their 1800s way of thinking that women belong in the kitchen and men should be big and tough, out there working in a steel mill. -

Voice actors for a big budget FIM movie!

That may be the case, but if you got a list of characters she has voiced and asked if people knew any of them, I'm sure you'd get many yes responses. Then ask how they would feel if Patrick Swayze or Angelina Jolie voiced that character in a movie. I'm sure not too many would enjoy that notion. Not too many people know the voice actor's name unless they are serious about the franchise, they know the character. How many here know the name Richard Horvitz? Guess what, that's Invader Zim and there would be some very unhappy fans if you replaced him. People not knowing him doesn't mean they don't know what Zim sounds like and are okay with anyone voicing them just because they could get Morgan Freeman to do the voice. Oh! Another example! I saw people complaining about Sweetie Belle's voice being different recently, not realizing it's just Claire growing up so there is going to be some difference. People notice these things, and speak their minds when upset about something. Now this is a different case since it's the same VA, so people were fine once they realized the whole "getting older" thing. If they had replaced the VA, we would have seen riots. -

Well I don't know that you would need to make people feel sorry for her, ghostface explained it much better than I did. She can remain bubbly Pinkie Pie, but she needs more depth to her than just being hyperactive random pony who can climb walls and doesn't have an off switch unless something hurts her feelings. Pre-S3 Pinkie was just fine in my books, before the fan service seemed to start. There is a fine line between being the Element of Laughter, and being the show clown just there to do silly stupid things for comic relief. Every time Pinkie is shown anymore she appears to be over the top in one way or another. That's not how she started out. As the show goes on she should have grown and matured, gained more depth rather than reverted and become more two dimensional.

Voice actors for a big budget FIM movie!
Puddlejumper replied to Rarity Paige Belle's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Big name celebrities are far too worshipped and don't mean everything. Some of the best movies have starred relatively unknowns, and in fact all actors started out that way. Just like how a certain actor makes that character and gets singled out AS that character when it's a well known and long running character, VAs are known for their characters. If you don't get the correct VA for the character then people will take note and complain. Look at the controversy when Tara Strong took over as Harley Quinn, or when Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy said they were done voicing Joker and Batman respectively. I mean just here recently I noticed that the VA for the Yellow M&M was changed, I don't know why, but I noticed and didn't like it. Or look at how big of a deal it was that Futurama got the original VAs when they came back. VAs of popular characters may not be "big name" on-screen actors, but they are still well-known within the VA community and deserve just as much respect or "worship" that people give actors. Also the switch to CGI would be horrible and not work well. Completely wrong format for this media, the SFM 3D ponies are strange enough, adding hair and such along the lines of Sulley from Monsters Inc would make it even creepier. You have a cartoon that you want to turn into a movie? Do it correctly, Simpsons Movie is a prime example of doing things right as far as sticking with the tried and true format, VAs, and writers. MLP would have to follow that example as well. -
I like her more when she shows different sides rather than just annoying all the time. She has gotten so bad lately that her place as last on my list of the main 6 is pretty much cemented at this point. She needs a brain-to-mouth filter, and she needs to calm down. The writers seem to just be making her the fan service pony with all her stupidity, and hyper randomness. And if I were in Rarity's shoes in Filli Vanilli, I would have whacked Pinkie with a bat instead of a rolled up newspaper when she yelled at Fluttershy. If the writers can't come up with anything new for her except crazy, I wish Trixie had permanently deleted her mouth...

I don't understand the dislike of her, I actually like most of the episodes she has writing credit on. Actually, I frikkin love some of them to be honest. I pay no attention to Twitter or any other social media, in fact I refuse to join them out of a personal deep-seated hatred for them, but that's another story. So she can troll you peeps who live on those sites until the cows come home, and take everything so seriously. I'll sit on the sidelines and find the ruffled feathers the cast and crew causes funny. I think people let their headcannons get a little too carried away in this fandom, and if the characters behave even the slightest bit different from their mental image, you better run because there's going to be drama. Boy I can't wait until Vinyl talks, and it isn't Jessi "Nowacking"...

Ellen was great (loved the fact pizza was actually ordered), but some of the info I've seen has me questioning how meaningful the Oscars should be considered. There is info floating around showing that out of 7 interviewed academy voters, only 3 voted (all for Frozen) because most didn't want to bother with watching animated shows. That some judges only voted for things if someone they knew/liked was in/directed it. And that the academy just really likes to watch Leo suffer in agony year after year. I don't know if those things are true, I've seen pics and supposed twitter feeds, but anything can be faked on the internet so idk. If so I think some stuff really needs to be changed, I mean there is no reason not to watch all films in a category you're going to judge. They send you every. frikkin. film. Take the time and do your laughable excuse of a "job".
