I'd go down the road of what has already been said. Shining Armour, hinted at by his name and Cutie Mark, will dominate in his area of magic. That being defence. Twilight on the other hand can happily learn and perform pretty much anything. Granted she may not be able to take it to the extremes of her brother's spell but she'll be able to do so much more. Also she's relatively young in the use and training of her magic compared to her brother.

I have nothing against them having a baby, could be interesting to see what happens with an Alicorn mother but I don't want another episode focusing on the baby. As Lupus mentioned, I thought the Baby Cakes episode was dire. Anyway, a baby appearing out of nowhere with no mention prior to it would be annoying (when it's an important character at least). Still think it's too soon for the characters anyway. They need more screen time first I reckon (having said that, I'd rather the other 2 princesses got some proper screen time for a change first).

She just doesn't have a 'in your face' flaw that the others have, which people find amusing/charming or whatever. She doesn't go over the top with anything (aside from the very rare stubborn/pride issue) like all of the others do in 1 way or another making them stand out. She's a fantastic character though and I love her. Hope she never changes (unless talking about screen time, more is good).

Not sure if I 'forgive' her but for some strange reason I do actually find myself liking her now. She didn't really do anything evil in her first appearance, just had a crappy attitude. In this ep, the only thing she really did wrong was get the pendant, which I'm assuming she just wanted to show twilight up with, rather than go bat sh*t crazy. So yeah, I think I could actually.

It could have been fleshed out a bit more than it was. Introduction of a unheard of stupidly powerful amulet + ponies from another country could have had a bit more explanation behind them. There was a whole town takeover, exile of Twilight and her new training from Zecora squeezed into 1 ep. With only 13 episodes in the season though, they do what they can.

It was Trixie's fault being shunned by people, she had a very unlikable personality. Twilight showed her up by saving the town, she can't really be blamed for anything there. As for the cheating. Who cares if she cheats if it's to save her town? I don't see how anybody could complain about that. I was happy to see that she realised she went too far and apologised. I could dig a nice yet somewhat arrogant Trixie if she were to return.

Interesting stuff. Since it glowed at the same time as Trixie's horn, makes me think it's just for magic users. Would be cool if it worked for anyone though. Zecora for S3 final boss? Sure she can make the most out of that thing if it can work on anyone. Sure she's git an evil side Would be a laugh.

I must admit that I like her. She's sweet but isn't afraid to stand up to others if need be. I do like Luna more though but I prefer her to Celestia who just seems a bit boring to me. She looks pretty snazzy too.

I'd go with a cmc aged Unicorn. Don't see why he should be a Pegasus when he has no wings as a dragon. His talent would be the use of transportation magic(of no living objects?) and since he's relativly young, that's all he's good at. Same colour scheme as he has no ofc.

She may have just liked the relationship between the girls and AppleJack and want something similar. Plus what those above ^^ said.

I would vote Angel as best just because he does actually seem quite nice more often than not. Unfortunately that 1 episode.... Sooo, I'm going to have to go with Opal. Mainly just because I'm a cat person and she amuses me. Gummy takes 2nd place. He's just a funny little fella with some serious dance moves. Worst pet is Owlowiscious. hate that thing. Flat out annoyed me. Tank would be my second worst though O:)

Still can't find it in me to like her. Can't forgive the way she acted, no matter how she was treated previously. She showed no regret at hurting her would be friends and family member whilst actually performing the acts of cruelty and was only at the end when they saved her from embarrassment that she 'changed'. At the end of the day, it showed that she only cared about what others thought of her. That's how I see it at any rate.

I generally ignore the Baby Cakes episode when thinking about the whole flying/magic thing anyway. Even though you can kind of explain a bit of it away, the whole episode just felt off. It would make sense for them to want to advance the CMC in their use of abilities, just so that they have more ideas to play with when it comes to making episodes if nothing else. Sweetie's use of magic would have been a pointless addition if they don't have plans for it further down the road and while Scoot has hovered before, she was doing it more frequently in this episode. Cutie Marks are probably still a way off yet though. 1 step at a time and all that.

Hmm, I'd really like Aj to have a proper song. Sounds great with the accent. After her, Fluttershy. Rarity as always is welcome even though she's had a few. Not too fussed with RD but as long as she isn't going solo I'd be alright with it. What we could use is a song by the princesses

Nice to see I'm not a complete oddball. Might venture deeper once the season has ended if I need a fix of pony. For now though, show discussion is where I'll stay ^^

I've only recently(past few weeks) decided to pop in to see what the community is up to. And that is only this forum and EQD. I had been my own little solo fan for about a year previous, not talking about the show with anyone or seeing what is going on with the community. From that, I know that it's a genuine like for the show and not just a desire to be part of the community, which for the most past I still try and keep at arms length.

With the amount of fluttering she's been doing recently, I can see her flying in the future. Either that or they will actually get around to addressing the issue of why she can't fly in the show. Seems like they want to progress the cmc characters as shown by the extra fluttering coupled with sweeties magic kicking in.

As much as I'd like to see the return of the Queen, this is the only way I can really see her being brought back. Not that it wouldn't make an entertaining episode mind you. Not sure why they'd need to go there though. Find some artifact/gizmo or rescue someone. Hell, getting her to fight along side them against a stronger foe which is threatening them both

I'm thinking that any mention/reuse of dark magic will be held until the season finale. Guessing they will just show that Trixie has 'found' some magic artifact which is the cause of her increased power and not actually go in to any link between it and the Dark Magic/Sombra thingum. Or if they do, it will be a very subtle hint.

For my thoughts on the bullies rather than the the main evils, it's going to depend on from who's view. From the adults PoV, it's really a choice between FlimFlam, Gilda and Trixie I believe and I'd go with the Flim Flam Brothers. They seem relatively clever and can business bully people.Obviously they have their flaws and going against what I just said, act rather stupidly at the end of their episode. They could have had a huge impact for certain ponies in town. Trixie was just a show off and while people might find her entertaining, she'd never get any real support from important people or pose any kind of threat(future episodes not counting). Gilda would win out here short-term, just because of her appearance and attitude. The attitude though is her downfall in that she flaunts her aggressive nature which would alienate her quickly and also end up posing no threat. Still, she mate FS cry and needs putting down From the younger PoV, I'd go with Babs. DT and SS are just stuck up rich kids. Nobody in the show apparently takes them seriously and it's all just verbal abuse and not very good verbal abuse imo. Babs on the other hand has the whole butch kind of look about her and is a lot more aggressive in her insulting. She's also more physically involved, with her happily breaking stuff/stealing stuff. Also being a family member of AB, it'd be all that more painful and frightening. Even though she was 'redeemed' at the end, I'd pick her. Probably forgotten about a few people and/or reasons for who is worse but meh.

I feel it would kind of suck if your special talent was something which only occurred once every year(i think?). I like the idea of her not having an apple related one and one that fits in with her two friends would be great. As much as I'd like a heart break episode where one of them gets one and the others don't and they have to deal with it, I do like the idea of a two-parter in which the three of them are an important factor in saving the day or something and get them all together.

Never read anything about the episodes before I watched them, not even the titles. Because of that, there wasn't an episode I dreaded watching the first time and nothing would have made me skip an episode without first watching it. The episodes that I disliked the first watch through and actually started appreciating on following views would most likely be any of the Rarity heavy episodes and CMC episodes. It annoyed me that the most annoying main character was stealing my viewing time or that side characters were There are still some that I hated the first time around and still do though. Owl ep and any Pinkie centered eps spring to mind.

Guessing there's a similar thread but I'm bored so; Season 1: Friendship is magic pt1+2 - Not greatly exciting compared to some others but I can easily watch it over and over. I like introduction episodes I guess. Suited for Success - Once used to hate it since I hated Rarity. No longer though, love the entire episode. Sonic Rainboom - Starts off amazing, gets rather naff during the middle and then ends brilliantly. Probably would be my fave if they didn't make 1 of the characters act far too over the top in stupidity. The Cutie Mark Chronicles - Who can't love this episode. It has all the characters, for the CMC to the Mane6. Nice little back stories, some incredibly cute. Finished off with a warm fuzzy feeling at the end. Best Night Ever - Falls behind my previous ones up there ^^ but still very good. Great song and very enjoyable character moments. Season 2: Luna Eclipse - What can I say, I love Luna :/ Sisterhooves Social - Just adorable throughout. Hearts and Hooves Day - Same reason as above. A Canterlot Wedding pt1+2 - They squeezed so much in to these episodes. Great songs, characters people wanting to see making brief appearances, Celestia being useless, epic battle and once again a warm fuzzy feeling at the end. I liked the queen as an enemy too. Bonus points for not using the Elements of Harmony. Season 3: Crystal Empire pt1+2 - I thoroughly enjoyed it but it opens up too many questions. Depending on whether or not they get answered by the end of the season will determine if this stays here or not. One Bad Apple - has made me really like the CMC much more than I previously had. That song also grew on me stupidly quickly. I like seeing people put my worst episodes in their top list. It's quite interesting.

Pinkie doesn't really interest me when she's being silly. Perhaps stick her with Rarity for a bit more so she can be snapped at and hopefully settle down a bit. AJ + Fluttershy might need more time together but not sure how entertaining the two would be together. Both rather relaxed mentally but physically AJ and FS are so different they wouldn't do much with just the two of them. Rarity and Rainbow could be good, either trying to get Rainbow to be a bit less of a hot headed tom boy or her trying to get Rarity to liven up a bit. Perhaps a nice middle ground as they both seem to like attention. I'd actually be happy with them expanding on previously shown relationships though. Rarity does seem to be taking a shine to AJ, seen throughout the series from the end of the sleepover, to her cleaning the filth from Aj in 'it's about time' up to the Crystal Empire. I also love the RD/Flutter pair, even though there has been a fair bit of this too, I'd still love more. The two Unicorns too. As stated further up though, an episode going in to how the rest of the Mane 6 met one another would be great.

I can't help but hate Owlowiscious so I had to vote for it. Not sure why, possibly just due to the fact that I really hated his episode or perhaps I just don't like the way owls look in this show. The only other ones I really dislike from that list would be Gilda followed by Silver spoon and Jet Set/Upper Crust. How dare people vote for the CMC or Mane 6 -.-
