Pretty evenly matched in my opinion. I'll probably have to go with Scoots though because she was rather cute in SiP. Plus she's part of the CMC and they are cool ^^.

Let the two original Alicorns keep something unique. She can have a flowing mane in some momentary magic overload while she's defeating some overly powerful enemy but as a permanent thing? No thanks.

I'd very much like to see a powerful male leader of another country or some such, perhaps along the lines of Sombra but not evil. Don't care about the male to female balance, four Alicorns is enough. Each time a new one is added, it takes something away from the others.

People are going to be bitter on this point but you can't help that. Change is not always good and people have the right to feel whatever they do on said change. As long as the character of Twilight isn't changed more than her having wings and the season doesn't focus too much on her then we'll probably be ok. That post does make it sound permanent though. Hope she doesn't start flying everywhere and prefers to stay grounded I still think a slight buff to the other 5's abilities is in order though

I never really cared one way or the other if she was removed or not. Yet for some reason, the reintroduction of her in this episode makes me rather happy. Perhaps it's just because it makes all of you lot happy. *shrug*

Yes, it's a very nice singing voice and worked well within the episode. I wonder if she'll ever sing again for us. I wouldn't complain. Anyway, 2 princesses (pre-twilight ofc) down and 1 to go. You have 26 episodes Luna -.-

No matter what people say about the episode, I'm finding it very difficult to stop watching the first 15 minutes (depending on which version you watch). I absolutely freaking love it >< Don't care if there are logic flaws or anything to it or anything, I find it very fun to watch.

I'd have to go with season 1 here. I'd still say season 2 is close behind but it had a run of episodes in the middle which just annoyed me somewhat. S1 is also the one which started it all and introduced us to many of the characters that we grow to love a stupid amount. Season 3 was too short imo, making the lesser moments stand out too much. It is also too new. Will have to think on it again once S4 has come out and all the little details I've missed have been revealed and understood.

Was kind of expecting some 'the longevity of the show' or some such Not sure she has to have control over anything but if she did, I'd assume it would be something along the lines of magic, perhaps a certain type of it (Magic Police Twilight?) Perhaps just getting on with her life keeping highly magical beings in check. Not really sure how 1 would have any power over friendship and anything to do with the EoH would suck if the other 5 weren't credited too.

If we are going on performances and not how they have improved as a character or whatnot: 1) Rarity: She's had very little involvement compared to the others, yet every time she was on screen, she stole the show. I have absolutely no complaints about her. 2) AJ: I just really like her character. She's had a heap of screen time this season and there has been nothing about her that has made me unhappy. Some of the episodes she has starred in may not have been the best but non of that was due to her character. 3/4) Fluttershy: Bit of an odd 1 here. In The Crystal Empire and Magic duel, I couldn't help but feel that her scenes seemed forced. I was very happy in Keep Calm when they didn't make her spaz out and actually used her kindness to run the episode instead. 3/4) RD: Although she started with her recent toolbagness to an extent, she quickly grew on me throughout Sleepless and Wonderbolt episodes with her showing her sweet/loyal sides depending on the ep. She's not my 2nd worst of the mane6 anoymore ^^ 5/6) Twilight: Apart from the opener and closer of the season, there is nothing that really sticks in my mind with what she's done. She annoyed me a little in the opener with overly caring about her 'test' and the season finale is a risky path. As many have pointed out before, time will tell how that plays out. 5/6) Pinkie: For the most part she has just been a forced joke to the point where she is often just annoying. She's had a few quality moments but they have been few and far between. I'd like her to calm down and show a more sensitive side a bit more and stop the overly crazy.

Being an Alicorn I have no problem with. As long as she has no authority over the others in the show, I don't mind. She is/was one of the common folk and should remain so. I want her to remain on the same level as her friends. Will have to keep an eye open for leaks to see where they take this.

I've now seen the episode several times and I've come to the conclusion that I actually find it a very good episode. There are many implications made which I'm not overly keen on but as an individual episode, I liked it. It might need the first episodes from season 4 to support it which might take the bitterness away pushing it up to a top tier episode imo. I'm still very much looking forward to the next season. Not sure if it's been mentioned, but a lot of the clothes just looked awkward on the ponies in this episode to me. Might just be me though.

I'm not too keen on the whole 'you can become an Alicorn' way of thinking. If any others were to appear in the show (-.-), I'd rather it was a newly introduced character with a proper build up to their introduction. As it stands for the current cast. None of them.

Well that was certainly something. Only watched it just now so these thoughts aren't as thought out as they may be tomorrow or whatever. I actually really enjoyed the first half. The whole cutie mark switching was a very cool idea and throwing it all into song was interesting. That so could have used an episode all by itself. It just seemed brushed away far too quickly. Then they all zapped Twilight. We all knew what was coming then and I thought a blast from the elements was a good a way as any for it to happen. That's when it went down hill. The moment Twi went into that other plane of existence or whatever it was and Celestia showed up, it all just felt awkward. Felt like it was saying 'this is the stuff you like, yes? Please say yes. Have a Celestia song..." Then there's the whole ceremony, with the 3 princesses together making Cadence and Luna look like Celestia's lackies. Wasn't a fan of that. And it all ends with Twilight being treated like a princess being driven around on her chariot which just gives her an air of superiority making me think about how the rest of the residents in ponyville now have to act around her. And it just ended there, giving no hints as to what to expect. Finally, the black book. I was so looking forward to seeing how that played out. Major disappointment there. Anyhow, thoughts might change on repeated viewings. As it stands at this moment though, I found it a 'meh' of an episodes leaning towards a 'cringe'. Little edit: Reading a few posts about how S4 openers is going to work off this episode gives me some hope. I like hope. Makes me feel somewhat safe for a while

Lauren Faust - Friendship is Magic Part 1 & Part 2 Have to love the episodes which started it all, introducing us to so many wonderful characters. Amy Keating Rogers - The Best Night Ever Was between this and Dog n Pony show but I think I prefer The Best Night Ever. Was fun watching them all getting annoyed. Plus song... Cindy Morrow - Sisterhooves Social Hands down this one. I love Rarity and Sweetie and this episode was just sweet. Meghan McCarthy - A Canterlot Wedding Part 1 & Part 2 She has a nice amount to choose from but I just love the season finale. Awesome villain, awesome song and interesting character introductions. Plenty of feelings being thrown around too. Chris Savino Not sure on this one. Either/or tbh, I enjoyed them about the same. Charlotte Fullerton - Suited for Success Rarity <3 Plus song. Not actually sure why I like this so much considering what it's about but whatever. I love it. M.A. Larson - Luna Eclipsed Probably Luna Eclipsed here. Can't go wrong with the return of best pony although I do love Sonice Rainboom and the Cutie mark Chronicles too Dave Polsky - Games Ponies Play As plain to see as the destination of the episode was, it was an enjoyable ride in my opinion. Think i prefer this one slightly more than Keep Calm. Merriwether Williams - Putting Your Hoof Down (with Charlotte Fullerton) Not sure what to say here. Although they went a bit far with the characters, watching Flutters spaz out was entertaining. Corey Powell - Sleepless in Ponyville No contest. A brilliant episode which was something that I wasn't expecting. Made me actually like Scoots somewhat and the appearance of a wild Luna made me a happy person. I'd have to say that Larson is holding the majority of top episodes in my opinion, at the moment at least. Keeping a keen eye on Corey in the future though.

I have nothing against their characters exactly and would probably go as far to say that I like them a fair bit. I'm happy with the whole introduction of them and even how it messes with a bit of Twilight's back story. It's a little annoying that they have had so much screen time which I'd rather have had used on the other two princesses and even with the screen time they have had there is actually very little known about them (Cadance mainly here).

The thing I really want the most is basically just more Luna. I want to see her actually involved in ruling, not just being someone who stands by Celestia. More dream stuff could be nice but I'd rather he have a more physical presence. To add to that, some history on the two sisters (Luna and Celestia) would be very much welcomed. Singing from them would be nice too Aside from that, I'd be happy with some nice bonding episodes between only a few of the 6. They are always entertaining. Sad moments too. I love sad moments. Bring in the heartache!

Don't think I'd go as far as to say that I don't like her but I do find her somewhat dull compared to the rest of the cast. RD is nowhere near my favourite pony though but that might just be the problem with you. RD/Scoots can't really be a unique pony with the other acting very similarly.

Being from the UK, no hub ofc, so I get mine from itunes. I then convert them into a non-crap format which doesn't require that heap of *squee* to view and then I watch them on the night of whichever day itunes decides to release them, just before I go to bed. Much prefer night time watching to day time. This does mean dodging all pony related websites for a little while though.

Very good news indeed. The 13 episodes have just been flying by and having to wait half a year of nothing just for another 13 would be killer. 26 will keep us going a nice amount of time. Love it.

Poor Sombra, I like what he could have been for the show but there's no way I'd vote against Fluttershy for him. Just not enough to him and Fluttershy is too awesome.

As amusing as it is, the sofa winning, I can't help feel sorry for Diamond Tiara. I really do like the look of her and somewhat enjoy her when she's actually on screen. Yes, she's a young stuck up brat but she can always change her attitude down the line, even though I like her as she is now as the young antagonist.

I thought it was very good. The only point that annoyed me was how RD was hating on Flutters. Is still very well done though and well worth the watch.

Pretty simple if the question if presented like that. AJ has all the qualities needed and is hands down the best choice. I see her on equal levels if not greater in leading ability to Twilight. Other than her, Rarity would be my next choice with RD just behind. Intelligence-wise (not just book smarts), Rarity and AJ trump RD but intelligence isn't everything and RD has the will. Pinkie isn't serious enough and Fluttershy would just want to stay at the back.
