Favorite Rarity Episode?

I saw a topic similar to this about a different pony, so I thought I'd just make one for Rarity as well

 

 

 

My personal favorite standalone is "Rarity Takes Manehattan" I feel as if it caught the goddess of fabulosity's essence perfectly, as well as keeping me on the edge of my seat the whole time in anticipation for what was going to happen next I mean, not much has reduced me to a puddle of quivering fanboy like the first time I saw that episode - I absolutely melted. It was perfect. I wrote a blog about why I love it so much, but I can be arsed to find a link that most people wouldn't click on

 

My favorite shared episode would have to be "Look Before You Sleep" - if only because Rarijack. The dynamic those two possess is something that I find absurd amounts of entertainment in, enough so for them to be best friends in my headcanon I also found it to be humorous as well - something I don't find many MLP episodes to be.

Suited for Success is wonderful. Art of the Dress is one of the best MLP songs, and the episode has a great plot.

 

Look Before Your Sleep is one of my favorite episodes of MLP. The interaction between Rarity, Applejack, and Twilight is hilarious, and its characterization really shines.

She was pretty good in Sleepless in Ponyville too. Taking time away from herself to take Sweetie Belle camping (not to mention giving her a free workout ) really shows how generous she is

Suited For Success is my favorite standalone Rarity episode, she has many episodes that we love and we can't get enough of, but I love this one in particular.

 

Sisterhooves Social warms my heart where Rarity can sacrifice her little quirks, to be with Sweetie Belle. So many feels!

Suited for Success was, and still is one of the best episodes I've ever seen. That episode made me want to keep watching the show, so I owe a great part of my love for the series and Rarity to that episode

Favorite Standalone Rarity Episode?

Suited for Success. It really highlights so many great things to happen. Rarity's characterization. Opalescence. Doing whatever she can to be generous to her friends' clueless desires. And Art of the Dress. There's also very well-done subtext calling out the executive meddling process when developing animations like these, although the contrivance is still pretty evident when scoping characterizations like Fluttershy's.

 

 

Favorite Split Rarity Episode?

Sisterhooves Social. Rarity and Sweetie Belle's sisterly relationship was portrayed very realistically. Sweetie tries to do whatever she can to make Rarity happy, only to be shooed away, really hurting SB. The nail in the coffin was when Rarity dismissed the Sisterhooves Social event as "uncooth," angering Sweetie to the point of having enough, forcing Rarity to later suffer some much needed consequences for her actions. What sealed it is how Rarity had to work to mend her relationship with her younger sister (although how Sweetie never caught the change in eye color is rather…odd and never called out), and as a result, both of them learned their lessons and developed as individuals.

I'll always be thankful to Suited for Success for helping me come to appreciate a pony I'd initially overlooked, and helping her start her journey towards becoming one of my favorites. She was funny, she was creative, she was helpful and kind, the song was awesome, and you can see that there's a lot to love here. As much as I wanted to give it the nod here (I even clicked it when first voting in the poll ), I'm still going with Rarity Takes Manehattan for doing all of that and still showing her battling her flaws to a greater extent. Triumph is made all the better by the struggle, and everything. Just an all around awesome episode.

 

And as much as I like Rarity's interactions with AJ, I voted for Sisterhooves Social. It reminded me a lot of my relationship with my siblings. Being a big brother/sister is largely a give and take thing, and it just captured how Sweetie truly is very important to Rarity and how awesome their relationship is in spite of its rockiness. That episode had some fun Applejack interactions too, come to think

For a standalone episode, I actually love all four. I can't really pick one, to be honest, they're all fun episodes.

 

For a split episode, I really liked Sisterhooves Social. I can really relate to both Sweetie Belle and Rarity (but mostly Sweetie Belle) and is overall a cute episode.

Standalone would be Suited for Success.

It really highlighted rarity's character, generous to the point she almost goes insane. The song was quite amazing, and it was rather interesting to see such a highlight of rarity's generosity, even to the point it almost becomes a fault in listening to the nagging desires of her friends.

 

Favorite split episode would be Inspiration manifestation. It was great to see some more Spike/Rarity interaction, and seeing her go crazy over a mistake (like not making the cart mobile, I mean, he asked for a mobile cart, would it have been that hard to make folding/removable pegs?) and her overreaction to this mistake was quite entertaining, as with how spike was willing to rush to her aid immediately.It was a great episode to see more of the spikexrarity dynamic.

My favorite standalone episode is easily "Suited For Success." I really liked Rarity here, especially her struggles to find balance between pleasing her friends, satisfying her own artistic standards, and advancing her career. The song "Art of the Dress" was certainly an outstanding performance. Probably among my favorite songs in the series. 

 

As for split Rarity episodes, definitely "Look Before You Sleep." I'll admit, though, that it's mostly because of Twilight's utterly adorkable performance here. Jesus, I'm almost certain this was the episode that made her into my favorite. She was so freakin' cute! I mean, c'mon, look at her!

That's certainly not to say that AJ and Rarity haven't been great, either! I absolutely loved their interactions with each other. This is one of MLP's strongest points, and that's definitely the case here. Together with Twiight's adorable naivety here, all of this makes "Look Before You Sleep" one of my favorite episodes of all time.

A Dog and Pony show for favorite solo Rarity episode because she was hilarious in that episode, she played those diamond dogs for chumps and proved that just because you are a lady dosen't mean that you have to be completely weak and helpless. She may not have been able to outfight them but she was able to outsmart them. Sisterhooves social for my favorite split Rarity episode both because Sweetie Belle is my favorite CMC, Applejack and a pretty great lesson.

Standalone, Suited for Success was the first time we truly saw Rarity shine and it still stands as one of my favorite episodes for that reason. Helps that Art of the Dress is still unbelievably catchy to this day.

 

As for split episode, Sisterhooves Social. Think about this for a second: Rarity has shown to be a major neat freak, yet she was more than willing to cover herself head to toe in mud in order to prove herself to Sweetie Belle.  Not to mention that she displayed a surprising level of physical ability in her performance during the race. This and the flying kick from Return of Harmony has lead to my belief that Rarity must know some form of martial arts.

Ponies with lipstick freak me the f*** out. No! But I do love the first few and last few minutes. The middle act drove me batshit crazy.

 

Suited For Success is my vote for best Rarity ep. Brony Curious hit the nail on the head when explaining the merits of that one, especially when he talked about client types an artist has to deal with. Also the voice acting and that song!

 

Look Before You Sleep and Sisterhooves are tied in my opinion ... But had to pick one. I do want to say that I love the early episodes like LBYS since they show the characters hadn't always been close friends.

Rarity is my favourite pony, so this is definitely a difficult choice!

 

My favourite standalone episode would have to be Suited for Success, because I think it really shows the essence of Rarity's character and how generous she is. Plus, I really love the dresses she makes. (the originals of course )

 

My favourite split Rarity episode is Simple Ways. I actually really liked the romance theme, and it was great to see an exploration of Rarity and Applejack's friendship, since it's probably my favourite within the mane six. It's also definitely one of the funniest episodes.

"Simple Ways" is not only my favorite Rarity episode, but it is also one of my favorite episodes ever. That episode cracks me up every time I watch it -- without a doubt. I love all the RariJack banter - their friendship is just so quirky and crazy and precious. I also just love how Rarity realizes she should never ever change herself for anyone because Rarity is amazing and should never change

Almost Rarity Takes Manehatten, but I gotta give it to Sweet and Elite. That's one of my favorite episodes of all time. I love, love, love that episode. Rarity was absolutely flawless in it, and it introduced characters like Fancy Pants and Fleur-Di-Lis whom I love dearly.
