Haha, ridiculous. He has a good point in this video, though. 'Cuz most of the time when you see some one rob a bank or whatever, they're wearing a hoodie. Though, I wouldn't say that the hoodie has anything to do with the tragedy in Florida.

No, it has nothing to do with his clothing. It had to do with his race, unfortunately. The shooter was in pursuit of the teen the whole way and shot him while he was on the phone with his girlfriend. On the victim's body they found a pack of skittles and a bottle of iced tea.

 

Not exactly the image of a criminally involved teenager, methinks.

The man who shot him did it because the kid was black. Bottom line. He even used a racial slur during the 911 call he made about Trayvon Martin. Here's more proof of Zimmerman's racism about calls he has made in the past specifically about black people including a 7 year old CHILD: http://www.thedailyb...-abuse-911.html. Martin also used his hoodie to cover his face so Zimmerman would leave him alone, which his girlfriend confirmed.

 

Also, nobody told people to stop wearing hoodies after the unabomber, did they? Of course they didn't. I can guarantee you if this kid was white nobody would say anything about what he was wearing, or victim blame.

 

Sorry if I sound angry at you, I'm really not, just very upset that this crap happens all the time in this day and age.

People shouldn't judge people by what they look like period - not by their skin, not by their clothes, not by their mustache. Geraldo is being an idiot here. The ramifications of what he is saying is basically that we should all have a dress code and that anyone violating that dress code is suspect and at risk for being shot as a criminal. Ridiculous! I think judging someone on the basis of what they are wearing is just as bad as racism.
