Meson Bolt 2,647 August 28, 2019 Share August 28, 2019 Gotta say, I think becoming a brony opened me up to a lot of electronic music. I'd say that's mostly due to The Living Tombstone and his stuff. Considering almost all that I listen to now is electronic music and its subgenres, I'm pretty happy that I caught onto it. x3 Your family is who you make it out to be. Tacodidra 61,030 August 28, 2019 Share August 28, 2019 I've listened to basically all kinds of music for years – any genre can have songs I like, even if I prefer some (such as rock). As such, I don't think becoming a brony had an effect on my music taste at all. I do listen to pony songs sometimes, but that they're about ponies is only a part of their appeal – I'm sure I'd have liked many of them anyway, if I had found them somehow (in fact, I listened to a couple of MLP songs a while before I finally started watching the series). 2 Signature by @Sparklefan1234
Kevin Tang 2,426 August 28, 2019 Share August 28, 2019 Hmmmm....it doesnt really change but for sure, I listen to MLP musics more than I do with other musics For example : Back then, running in the 90s & dejavu (initial d). Now, Discord by Eurobeat Brony just a small change, I still do listen to other musics from every now and then but MLP songs just dominate right now
Denim&Venöm 18,573 August 29, 2019 Share August 29, 2019 They haven't really. Metal-head before Bronydom and metal-head after. The only real change of note was exploring more sub-genres, as my joining the heard came only a few years after delving further into heavy metal as both a genre and a subculture. MangoFoalix 24,930 August 29, 2019 Share August 29, 2019 My music tastes have changed regardless of me being a fan of MLP. MLP hasn't inspired me to change my music tastes.

DixonTheAdversary 1,632 August 30, 2019 Share August 30, 2019 My music tastes has remained pretty much unchanged since I became a brony. Dreambiscuit 9,575 August 30, 2019 Share August 30, 2019 My musical tastes are the same (classical, showtunes and movie soundtracks) except that now I listen to a lot of music from MLP as well.
Partialgeek514 5,002 August 30, 2019 Share August 30, 2019 Well, I will say that I've listened to a lot more pony music since becoming a brony than before. I think my tastes have changed a bit because of it though. I'm a lot more into hard and energetic electronic and metal music than I used to be, though most of it's still pony stuff. No one else in my family likes that stuff.
Prospekt 11,018 August 31, 2019 Share August 31, 2019 My music taste has remained mostly the same: predominantly alternative rock. Though this fandom did introduce me to synthwave, which I do enjoy. 1 Signature by Kyoshi
The Historian 516 September 1, 2019 Share September 1, 2019 I was a metalhead before ponies, and I am still a metalhead after ponies. So no, nothing changed. NZG | RA2M | BBPCG
Lucky Bolt 35,061 September 1, 2019 Share September 1, 2019 I forgot to mention in my previous post that the MLP fandom HAS introduced me to synthwave and electronic/dubstep. I love synthwave A LOT ☆ My socials ☆
Savy 5,075 August 11, 2021 Share August 11, 2021 Before getting into MLP I was (and still am actually) into a lot of Pop, 80's, and a lot of indie music. But MLP definitely introduced me to Dubstep and Synthwave music, and I'm forever grateful for that.
Sonic Shimmer 4,131 August 11, 2021 Share August 11, 2021 I was a rocker and a metalhead long before MLP and I'll continue to be both of those things decades from now. Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for. Twilight Sparkle is Best Pony!

ExplosionMare 18,060 December 25, 2021 Share December 25, 2021 MLP music never influenced my music tastes but I would have to say that pony pop is the only pop I tolerate besides a select few singers Boom!
IronM17 5,335 December 25, 2021 Share December 25, 2021 (edited) Since I got into the fandom, my music taste hat a lot of changes in this time. Before I became a fan of the show, I only listened to metal and also really heavy stuff like Thrash and Death Metal. While I was in the fandom, I got a big interest into EDM. Nowadays, I still listen to metal (but mostly progressive and melodic death metal) and EDM (mostly prog House and uplifting Trance), but I also have a big interest into Rock, Indie and Folk. You can say my music taste got bigger and more open. But I also would not say that this has something to do with MLP (ecept maybe for EDM). Snow 6,936 August 9 Share August 9 Seems to be to common answer, no taste change to speak of in my case I simply added MLP show and fan music to my playlists Still love all the songs I listened to before though I have discovered new genres to appreciate as well 1 beans
Longhaul 6,831 August 13 Share August 13 No real change, I still like the same kinds of music I always did. A couple of fan projects may have worked their way in there, but nothing drastic beyond that.
Starlight Serenade 2,928 August 19 Share August 19 Ever since joining the fandom, most of my music tastes have remained the same. Of course, I've added MLP music to the mix, but lately, I've been listening to more metal and electro swing than before, thanks to certain people 2
Finding_Marty 720 August 19 Share August 19 I guess becoming a brony had no effect on my music taste. It has been changing over the years and i defiantelly don't listen that much metal as I used to. However, I would like to visit some metal festivals soon because they're the best 1 New friends (you)
