do you pick a favourite pony based on your own personality

Do you guys pick a pony based on your own personality or on a personality you aspire to be.

 

I picked Fluttershy as my fave as she has so many traits that match my personality.

 

Im shy till i know someone, caring , always there for my friends and love nature.

Pinkie is the opposite of me and I do wish to be a little more like her. But even if she wasn't, she's too jumpy and cute to not be best pone.

At first I picked Twilight because she reminded me of an anime character from a show I watched. But as the series went on I picked Twilight and Pinkie as my favorites because I felt that I had some traits and some similarities between the two.

 

I'm hyper, I like reading many stories, I like trying out new ideas to learn and master to the best of my abilities, I sometimes act or speak without thinking and I sometimes make a big deal out of something that may seem like nothing.

Nope, not at all. The reason why Rainbow Dash is my favourite pony is she is successful at what she does and has even done some outstanding things, such as proving the Sonic Rainboom is real, as well as fulfilling her dream as a Wonderbolt by getting into both the Academy and the Reserves. And yet she is as flawed as the rest of the Mane 6, if not more. Although I can't relate much to her cheerfulness and arrogance, I still find her overall character charming and well-balanced.

Applejack is my favorite pony because she is so much like me; and naturally I relate most with her. At the same time, Rainbow Dash is also my favorite (they're tied) because she is like me in the sense that she is fiercely loyal, but is also brave and that I something I aspire for. So, I guess a little bit of both.

Yes and no. I more or less pick a pony as a favorite because I want to be more like them in some way. I have multiple favorites because of it.

 

I want to be as intelligent as Twilight Sparkle, as kind as Princess Celestia, as talented as Octavia, as hard-working as Applejack, and as confident as Rarity; all of which are my favorite ponies.

 

Pinkamena is my favorite because of how much I relate to her, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to be like her in any way.

 

So it just depends for me, every pony I named off is tied for my most favorite (pony-wise at least).

Fluttershy, socially withdrawn most of the time, quiet, loves animals, reserved....... Yep, I definitely Fluttershy  , But I also have a soft spot for AJ and Dashie, for their athleticism. While I'm not athlete myself, I would be still overweight if not were for them , so, I could say a big development from me was because of them

Fluttershy was the pony that immediately made me interested into the show, she was by default my first favorite and that is because of her anxieties and shyness, both are things I can relate to so much. Now my two favorites of the Mane 6 are her and Twilight but Fluttershy is the one I relate to the most and that made me bias to her from the start.

I chose Applejack because her worries(money, family), responsibilities(working) and general work ethic match mine. Plus I identify with earth ponies, which would explain why every pony that I call my fave, be it mane 6 or background, is an earth pony.

 

Plus, Applejack has been my fave since g1.

Rainbow dash is definitely my favorite, I haven't ever thought about why though.

 

Now that I do think about it, it seems that I like rainbow dash because I want to be that type of person, I am very antisocial in general and aspire for those traits that she carries in the sense that she can relate to anyone. Rarity's my fave. <3 Her generous nature is what grew on me as the show went on. And while she is vain, and no matter how much she may get taken advantage of (suited for success, Rarity takes Manehatten), or what she has to handle with her sister (sisterhooves social, sweetie belle toils), she continues to remain, generous, inspirational, artistic, and beautiful! <3    That's why I love Rarity. I picked her pretty much on how I want to act.
