What was your favorite season of MLP?

I voted Season 2 mostly on the grounds of nostalgia, because functionally I liked all of the seasons. Sans Season 5, which I have yet to catch up on. Season 2 is where I made my friends, went to cons for the first time, really got caught up in the hype... Yeah, it was just a good time, but good times were had in all seasons!

Season 5 is where I began, so I'm gonna be biased and say season 5. But then again, I haven't finished any of the other seasons, so I guess that's not a fair comparison.

This question seems to be popping up often as of lately, seen a lot of polls on dA asking that...

 

My favorite so far would be Season 5, I had the most fun watching these eps and I enjoy the new themes. Second favorites would be 4 and 2, and then (probably gonna be hanged for saying this) it's Season 3, and Season 1 in last place for me.

I would have to say Season 2. It had an amazing Finale and premiere. And it introduced us to characters like Discord and Daring Do, as well as others.

I personally enjoyed Season 2 the best because of the solid premiere and finale, and for the great world building the season had. The only one that comes close IMO is Season 4.

I can't really say at this point, I mean season 2 really hasn't aged all that well but season 4 screwed up my favourite character (Pinkie Pie) for the first half. So at the moment season 5 is looking like it's gonna be the best but I have to wait until it's over (which I now have to wait a couple extra months for thanks to Hasbro's mismanagement).

As much as I love Season 2, I'm really going to have to go with Season 1 actually. I think it had the most ingenuity, the freshest humor, and the best overarching story as its focus. It essentially seized my attention and I don't know if any of the other Seasons could've done that for me.

My favorite is season 4 currently, with season 2 following closely behind. It's a great season with lots of great episodes, and the arc was great, too. Only a couple stinkers in my opinion. And then 2 is a real solid season, as well. 

Season 1 is my least favorite, as I feel it was finding it's footing, and a lot of weaker episodes.

Won't judge season 5, yet, as it's still not finished yet.

I'd rank it so far as: Season 4 > Season 2 > Season 1 > Season 3 > Season 5

 

Season 4 features some of my favorite episodes of the series (Pinkie Pride is my favorite episode overall) but I also love Rarity Takes Manehatten, Bats!, Testing, Testing 1, 2, 3, Equestria Games, Filli Vanilli, and way more))

 

I also like season 2 since it seemed like the most fun with episodes like Lesson Zero, A Canterlot Wedding, Hurricane Fluttershy, Ponyville Confidential, The Return of Harmony, Hearth's Warming Eve, and more.

 

Season 1 seemed the safest overall since the series was brand new but I love Party of One, The Best Night Ever, Suited For Success, Winter Wrap Up, Call of the Cutie, Sonic Rainboom, Look Before You Sleep, etc..

 

Season 3 had episodes that I loved such as Magical Mystery Cure, Apple Family Reunion, Too Many Pinkie Pies, and Wonderbolt Academy.

 

And while season 5 isn't over yet, I haven't been enjoying it much and I hope the second half is stronger. Amending Fences is pretty good though.

 

Altogether I'd consider season 4,2,1, and 3 all tied for me since I go by favorite episodes instead of the overall season.

Season 2 is my favorite season because it was the season that got me the most interested in it. Discord was freaking hilarious, and cared about nothing but his own amusement (now that is chaos) and Chrysalis almost killing Celestia, hypnotizing Shining Armor, and imprisoning Cadance and Twilight. 

 

It was really well done in terms of episodes outside of the premiere episodes and was creative, funny, beautiful, and truly brought what the brony fandom want's and deserves.

The fifth season, during "Slice of Life" and "Amending Fences" episode the background ponies finally talked. Twilight Sparkle have her castle in Ponyville as her new home during the fourth season finale "Twilight's Kingdom", and Twilight Sparkle has finally became an alicorn (winged unicorn) during the third season finale "Magical Mystery Cure".
 
At the future seasons of the show it should be my favorite.

Apple Jack Whack I think this has been done before but not including Season 5

 

All the seasons have have  good & bad episodes.  Season 5 has gotten off to a very slow start, but since episode 100 (Slice of Life) they've all been pretty good.  So, I've got hopes for the rest of the season.
