Self-appreciation time! What do you like about yourself?

I like how I'm one of the few girls (or so it seems) that is pretty chill when it comes to having a partner. I mean, I let him be himself, go out with his friends, have and chill with female friends, call celebrities attractive and whatnot. But I've heard of so many females around here go insane because of a few of these silly things, like really?

 

You should be proud of that. My last gf was even jealous of the female voice coming from my Garmin GPS. She would get furious if I listened to it instead of her.

I love being me. I've got a really deep voice, (great for public speaking) a good taste in music, I'm good at solving other people's problems, and that I had the sense to join these forums.

As for me

I like my arms, not really how they look but how graceful they are. My ballet teachers when I was little used to make comments about them all the time!

I also like how quickly I can pick up songs by ear on violin, piano and clarinet. I always do really well in exams for sight-reading. So I guess that I really like my musical talent even though it scares me at times! I also like my taste in music but I think everyone likes that about themselves XD

I also love how easily I can think of story ideas for fanfictions or original stories! And how fast of a reader I am, even though it sucks when we have the whole period to read something and I have finished before most people and have to sit there and do nothing!

And uhmm I guess that is all! XD

That kinda reminds me of how my school to help with low test scores held a mandatory reading period every other day.

Most people flipped out about it, but then I just found a good book and started to read.

It's hard for me to find a book that I like because I'm very picky, so when I finally found my book I read it VERY slowly.

It lasted me all year but I finally finished it. Now since the reading portion of state testing is done we don't do the reading thing anymore which is good because that means I'd have to hunt down another book that meets my odd specific tastes!

I like how I'm very honest and struggle to keep a lie from people especially the bigger the lie it is.

How I'm kind and friendly yet shy at times.

How I'm loyal and take care of my friends.

My eagerness to learn when it's something I'm interested in.

My determination to finish a task once i've set my mind to it.

How I'm Highly organised except when I get overloaded with too much at once.

 

Finally I like how I'm now a part of the best, friendliest MLP forum there is. Gives me a good feeling every I come on here.

In the end, I cheated on the Garmin - I bought a TomTom! The Garmin was too critical of me when I took a wrong turn and I do not like overly-critical women.

 

Oh yeah... the topic... um, I like that I was able to teach myself to make awesome scrambled eggs watching a Gordon Ramsay video.

I follow the rule "One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself". I do not do bad stuff to people and I am trying to make everyone happy. If anyone treat me bad I do not use violence. I do not lie (sometimes to my parents though... But to my friends I am totally honest, but if it can hurt feelings I usually "spice it" a little to not hurt that person.) I am very open minded and listens to everyones thoughts and meanings without arguing about it. I am atheist but I don't hate people that belive in a religion.

I like the fact that I am able to think differently than others, even if I'm seen as immature, illogical or downright insane because of it.

 

I also love the fact that no matter how much adversity I face I (most of the time) don't have to rely on the opinions of others to make myself feel better about anything. I'm proud of my quirkiness and I will never freely admit that even if I do things beyond the norm that they are wrong in any way.

 

I am also brutally honest and loyal to those I pledge my loyalty to (I don't generally pledge loyalty out loud but if you've got my loyalty you'll know it lol) and I rather enjoy that about myself. It makes me feel like a much better person overall since I never feel the need to hide my feelings about a matter and when my opinions are a little rough I try to be as kind as possible.

I'm pretty good at writing. I've also managed to become fairly proactive in recent months (at least in contrast to before), so have a lot of personal projects and more social stuff going on.
