If i can only name one Character, i often name myself Lex or Lex Destrosio, because thats kind off a similar name to a Pinkamena User i admire.

Well it depends on the game, really. In a game like Skyrim, I'd either make something at least vaguely lore and character fitting up on the spot (e.g. Ryla), or more commonly, I'll throw lore out the window and use a Japanese name (e.g. Kimiko).

 

In Fallout 4, I tend to use something from the list of names that Codsworth recognises. (e.g. Eliana).

 

Most other games, I'll usually just use whatever pops into my mind, regardless of whether or not it fits (like 'Codsworth' for my M&B character).

For some of the Pokemon names, the default names for some are hillarious. Take Pokemon Black/White/B2/W2 for example. The default name for the trainer if you don't use the pre-set names the default name for the Male trainer is called "Hilbert". I've seen some funny names and I'm not trying to be mean too those who are named Hilbert around the world, but how in the name of Arcrus did the GAME FREAK & Miyamoto come up with that name?

I always choose a name unique to any character I play, and it’s different every time as it’s based on individual appearance, abilities and personality. Some names I’ve used are: Sunburn, Pollyp, Ryngtail, and Pink.

I usually use Scruffy or just my real name, Dylan. Unless I’m role playing in something like Skyrim in which case I’ll come up a lore accurate name for the character.

Viola is what I almost always go for. If it’s taken then Violala. If that’s taken then I’ll find other ways to play around with the name Viola. I have used Violet as well. 

Prior to Viola, I really liked Ember and Marina.
