New species we might see?

For me as an mlp fan I have seen some pretty interesting species so far. Griffons, Minotaurs, Diamond Dogs, Dragons, and then the Yaks. Yet I can't help but feel we are severely lacking in the department of carnivore species in this world aside from Diamond Dogs and Griffons. Something like a species of Gators or Komodo Dragons. What are your thoughts on this matter? Post below.

@: Well thank you very much for your aid. Well they did have plans for Caribou as I know in the show but scrapped that. Would be interesting to see if they might do it in a later season. We know they are in the comics already.

 

@@Mesme Rize: Oh I can only dream of them bringing in Lamia, that would be both confusing and awesome at the same exact time. Milk Snake Lamias are totally obsessed with Milk as both a concept and a food I bet.

Deer seem to be a crowd favorite at the moment from what I am seeing, makes me wonder why they haven't implmented them as of yet. Though the producers may just be focusing on Ponies and not expanding the world unless it relates to ponies. @@Summer Breeze

I'm gonna jump on the deer bandwagon.   They've shown up in the comics and seem pretty fitting of the universe.

Though I'd love to see some non-lunar guard bat ponies.

@@SFyr So I got three counts for deer, it is interesting how many people want deer to be in the mlp world, then again I want Komodo Dragons or Gators, first one cause I see them living side by side with Pygmy Bat Ponies on a set of Islands off Equestria's Eastern Coast. The latter cause I could see them talking like Orks from Warhammer in a sort of gutted Equestria/English and being all sorts of fun for the writers to voice.

And fo' real, I'd like to see some kind of new rare, majestic creature. Something which would be a focus of one episode, most probably intelligent being with Mane6 helping it because it got hurt, or something. Just came into my mind.

Hmm, some deers or Caribous would be nice. And I also would like to see hippogriffs. I mean, a creature who is a mixture of a griffon and a horse sounds interesting and would fits to MLP. And some creatures from asian cultures like Kitsunes could be interesting. I also would approve normal foxes or wolves because I am a giant fan of canids.

Bat ponies. I'm hoping the writers give us an episode dedicated to them. Where do they live? How does their culture differ from the rest of Equestria?

I'll throw my chips in and bet on some deer, then some bat ponies that aren't closely associated with Luna's Lunar Guards. A small, thriving community of just bat ponies mingling and such.
