When will we see pony merch back at Hot Topic

Not saying they really sold much to begin with but when will more my little pony merch come back to hot topic i liked alot of the shirts they used to have but never got around to getting the shirts before they were sold out thanks.  I liked alot of the merch they had there because it was targeted for bronies i was hoping for the movie they would get some merch back or seen more but not yet i have gone in the last few weeks to hot topic and F.Y.E and have not found any pony merch at all except the little blind bags i hope they get more when the movie comes out i need more shirts and more vinyl collectibles as no other store carries the vinyl collectibles it was primaraly hot topic.

It may sound like it, but I'm not saying this to be mean, I'm positive the majority of bronies are more comfortable buying MLP merch online than in public, which is probably why stores didn't keep them around

I hadn't noticed that it had left until I went in one the other day. It does seem to have kinda vanished from stores that lack a toy department, though I did see a cute shirt at FYE a while back.

Stores like Hot Topic are very driven by trends. A few years ago, when FiM was at an all-time high in popularity, it was a very sought after mercgandise opportunity.

Now that it doesn't have as much attention and thus less sale potential, there's less incentive to create merchandise for it. It's the natural ebb and flow, and if FiM stays on this course, I wouldn't be surprised to see it remain out of Hot Topic's scope.

Probably not because people can now just buy things online instead. For HT though...it's only a trend and once the sales decline they just rather not care to put it out anymore.

I've never been to Hot Topic in my life... yeah, I know it's sad 

 

I did see a little bit of pony merch at a little independent "nerd shop" in my college town. I even saw a Derpy backpack, but I was too chicken to buy it   I only got a couple of Pop figures. I wonder how Hot Topic would compare when it comes to pony merch... if it even has any.

Hot Topic focuses on big trends merch, and since the pony hype died down these years, makes sense they're hardly any around nowadays. If the movie proves a big-ass hit, I'm sure we'll see them back

Whenever the company feels that MLP is a 'fad' again. That is all Hot Topic cares about, fads. It is in the name. That is why I honestly don't like the store much. While they can have some cool products form time to time, you likely will not see the same product in just a couple of months because they will have deemed it 'not popular' by then. Other stores do this too of course, but it is the entire Hot Topic philosophy.

sure, if they can improve the quality of the regular ponies.
of the 5 i have, only Tia and Luna is worthy of a place on a shelf.
