This season of MLP is nothing short of amazing. First, we get Maud meeting and becoming friends with Starlight. Then Sunset being friends with Starlight in the EQG shorts, and now Thorax and Ember. That makes for some really good character development (and of course, good shipping material). You could argue that Thorax and Ember had to happen because they're both Spike's friends, but the same can be said with any two characters that share a connection with someone else. When friendships are good enough to evolve into a growing network, as they often do in real life, that's how you know they're powerful.

If they can continue this pattern for each of the Mane Six's circle of friends, I could see more landmark episodes coming from it in later seasons.

For starters, I really think it's about time Rainbow Dash introduced Spitfire to Daring Do.



What's not to like about this one? They'd get along perfectly. Both of them are heroes in different professions. They don't take shit from anyone. And they're Rainbow Dash's biggest idols: Spitfire was a pony that inspired her to take initiative and achieve her goal in life, and Daring Do reinforced her sense of self-worth in Season 4. Whenever the subject of Daring Do being real is brought up, ponies look at Dash like she's lost her mind. Spitfire could easily make that assumption and even contemplate abandoning her, until she gets caught up in a major conflict where Daring Do appears in the flesh, and they can all kick some serious ass together. Then they can both come out of it with a new sense of gratitude for having a pony like Dash as their friend, and for how lucky they are that she brought them together (in which case, I'd be disappointed if this WASN'T be a popular ship).


I also think an awesome friendship should form between Zecora and Luna.



Celestia could work too, but Luna even more so. Her history of being a villain, and being the only pony tasked with staying awake at night to help others in their dreams had led to feelings of isolation that only Zecora could relate with. And they're important mentors of sorts with lots of wisdom to pass around. When they themselves need a helping hoof, who better to turn to than one another?

Because neither one would have to say much - but I think they'd really be comfortable around each other BECAUSE they don't need to say much.  Mind you, I'm not talking romance, here... just a good ol' fashioned "hey, let's hang out, eat apples and play music" kinda friendship.

I would like to see and episode focusing on Starlight and the remane 5's friendship, and no I don't consider Every Little Thing She Does as that.

Besides that I saw someone on the forums talk about the similarities between Spike and Scootaloo, and I think that could make for an interesting pair.

A second Maud episode wouldn't be too big a stretch. Trixie got to be in two for Season 6, and if the synopses are all true, she'll get another episode with Starlight this season.

I actually read that story relatively recently, and I found that the two surprisingly have a decent amount in common.

The two could make for an interesting pair, which is something I never really thought of before.

I hope they never bring Zephyr back. It's a good idea. But while he's come a long way from being a complete loser, he still annoys me. I doubt I can ever bring myself to like ANY new episode with him in it.

Maybe if this friendship between him and Sunburst happened in the comics, I wouldn't mind it that much.

After Trixie became friend with Starlight, the possibilities are endless, Equestria look like a Friendship simulator 

I want Twilight introduce Starlight to Moon Dancer, they both lose a friend, one ruined her own life, one ruined everyone life, it would be a fantastic dynamic.

Another bonding i wished to happen is Discord and Pinkie, it happened in the comic but i want them in the actual show. Their fourth wall breaking ability will compete each other, i would like to see how Discord react to Pinkie chaotic nature (without chaos magic) or reveal Pinkie has chaotic magic inside her that why she can do random stuffs, thats even better. Make an episode about Discord curious about how Pinkie can do random stuffs without magics, that would be interesting episode.
