This is pretty sad, and I wouldn't be surprised if the parents were severely punished for this. I don't know what would make someone think that putting their child in a washing machine is ok. That must have been terrifying for the poor kid, and I hope that the parents regret it. Even though there is much worse child abuse than this, this is still pretty sick.
