If you have any waifus~ (or husbandos~),

Does your family know about them being your waifu~/husbando~?

And if you want, say how they found out.

For me, my sister snitched it to my mum and stepdad!

Lol! What was their reaction?

Hi @Sherbert Music-Guard

Since this isn't pony-related I've gone ahead and moved it from sugarcube corner to the forum lounge. More suitable for this kinda thing.

Happy posting!

Thanking you

I've two waifus,

Rainbow Dash and Princess Luna.

I once tried to tell my mother about this, as she said I could tell her anything I want to (can't believe how wrong she was), but as I was telling her about waifu and such, she gave me an odd (wth) stare which was enough for me to indicate that I should stop right there. Don't know what had happened if I have told her.

As for my father, never.

Is this the proper definition?

Waifu

Noun

(fandom slang) A fictional character from non-live-action visual media (typically an anime, manga, or video game) that one is attracted to and considers a significant other.

See then I gotta say no. For two reasons. The first one is that despite finding a good number of fictional characters cute and dateable my family would just not get it and I've neither the time nor inclination to explain it. Reason two is that despite saying I really like a character, think them cute and even would likely date them irl if they existed I just could not see them as a significant other. That sorta kills the ability to claim the term.
