general Road Trips?

Here is a question for all you drivers: Do you like road trips? Doesnt have to be with anyone, or for anything. You can take a road trip just cause. For me, I take road trips when I cant sleep or when im really stressed out. I find driving at night to music or podcasts calm me down. I also do my best thinking when driving.

Road trips.... Hmm... Let me thing... Umm... I do it too much to be honest. I have had my car for only two years and I have put over 80 thousand miles on it already due to my driving and tripping. And I drove all over the place before that with my parent's vehicles, and I still road trip a lot even after I moved out and have rent obligations to go for. >.< I mean it's nice to live with someone who likes to do it as well so we can compromise and do some together and cut the costs down and stuff.

But... Yeah, I like to drive way to much, on normal days off I drive around a lot, I have been to 47 out of 50 states, I have driven in Canada as well (If you go to my profile and see my cover photo, that was a picture I took myself up in the Toronto area last year) and basically everywhere, I mean.. To put how much I enjoy it in a simple way.. EVERY state east of the Mississippi river, except for West Virginia, I have visited on SOLO road trips, where it's just me myself and I driving on my own with no one with me. So....

Yeah, to answer your question, I do, I really love to travel, and it's especially better when I drive, and I have had my license since 2010, so.. My... I have been licensed to drive for 8 years already, my my.

I'm a COLT/STALLION, not a filly/mare. Just because I have a round muzzle does not mean I'm female. Remember that. =3

Ever since I got my drivers licence last year, I've realised that driving by myself with music on, or without music, is the time that I spend with myself the most. I agree that it's very relaxing, esspecially if you're taking a route that you've been down many times before.

omg YES! I love when my parents decide to go on long road trips. We don't do it very often, and it really sucks. I love just getting out of the house. My routine has a tendency to get really boring. So, it's nice to have a little adventure and what not.

Oooh, I LOVE road trips! My family used to go on a long road trip vacation every summer when I was young, and I've been addicted to them ever since. I love driving and seeing new things and finding new experiences. Even if the scenery is boring or the weather is bad, it's just good to get out of the house and see how much world there is out there. If I don't have the time or money to take a long trip, I still enjoy getting in my little car, rolling down the convertible top and headin' down the freeway at night with my music (or even a movie) playing in the car. There's nothing more relaxing and I usually feel brand new the next day.

I LOVE road trips! Long ones or short ones. I just love driving in general. Longer road trips are more fun if I'm traveling with a friend or family member though. :D I prefer to have someone to talk to.

Two weeks ago I did a 14 hour straight drive to Florida(and back), but it was a little long for my tastes lol. I don't mind 4-6 hour drives though.

Oooh which part of Florida did you visit?

I never made one yet, but I would like to do one. One through some states of europe (especially the mediterran states and scandinavia) and one through the USA and/or Canada. But both is for me for the moment only a dream.

Well, I'm getting ready to drive 27 hours round trip in about a week so I think you know my opinion on road trips. I also drive back and forth to school most weekends and that's 12 hours round trip. Did I mention all of this is solo?:scoots:

It depends on the vehicle. If its comfortable and we are properly supplied then yes road trips can be awesome. But if its a small car with no tunes it can suck

I love driving and doing road trips. used to live in Virginia and drive back and forth to central NY at least 2-3 times a year. Also like finding those back country roads that are not heavily traveled. Lets me get out of the urban area and just feel free.

Driving at night when the road is nearly empty is the absolute best. Aside from that, though, I don't really like road trips in the sense of driving somewhere for a weekend or something.

We used to do road trips all the time, but it's been years since we did any. I mean with my schooling and screwing up the last few years of it my dad would drive me to go write finals and I studied the whole way to the place I did the exams. To this day I still get indigestion going anywhere near those roads :(

But yeah, otherwise I loved road trips. That's probably why I gravitated to trucking sims on Steam. Give me a decent net radio station and I'm good to go for three or four hours.
