I agree. My fave bad films are those, and Cool Cat Saves the Kids.

Oh boy, I really gotta see that. It looks absolutely hilarious.  Another one I need to see is The Amazing Bulk

I did see IHE’s review of it though.

The Super Mario Bros. movie still stands as a film that did next to no justice to it's source material. That being said, it really falls under that "It's so bad it's good" category, for me.

Yeah. The creator was intending for his film to be seen as a cult "bad film", if his response to IHE is anything to go by.

Yeah, that’s what he claims. But people usually only say that to cover up the fact that they can’t make a good movie for shit and because they want to spare themselves some embarrassment. ^_^

Considering I'm a fan of B-movies of the 50s/80s...then yeah.

"The Village" and "The Happening" M. Night Flash In The Pan should have stopped at "The Sixth Sense"

I saw "The Village" with my mom. It's a wonder I didn't get thrown out. My mom was annoyed that I went totally MST3K on it!

(I did make her laugh a couple times!)

The Happening wasn't even funny. I thought it rather dumb.

Years ago, I walked out on the first Scooby Doo live action film.

(Me and a friend actually theater hopped, but it was too terrible to watch even for free!)

Basically any 2000s era comedy, son of the mask, the last jedi, the transformers movies, godzilla 98, like a million more

all of those are worse than movies like the room or samurai cop because at least those are entertaining and make you laugh.

Honestly the worst movie I've seen IN THEATERS was 2012's "The Lorax". Seriously, I've seen ALL the Dr. Seuss movies, and I seriously don't get how "Cat in the Hat" starring Mike Myers is the worst, according to most people. As for the worst movies I've EVER seen, well...

Battlefield Earth: Good lord, what went wrong here? Like... seriously. I couldn't believe how bad this movie was. From the awkward camera angles, to the blatant overacting, what more can I say about it? After I watched this abomination, I had to lean over on a table and put my hand on my forehead to try and contemplate what just happened. This was so bad that I was literally IMPRESSED. Like, how did they make it SO BAD?!

Drawn Together: The Movie: I don't feel like I can add much more that hasn't already been said in a status update I made about this movie. All I can say is... it's a bad egg. But on the bright side, it at least has a happy ending.

Son of the Mask: Honestly, even as a kid I didn't like this movie. I honestly don't have much to say about it, I just thought it was... really... dull. Like, this movie bored me. Kind of the like "The Grinch" starring Jim Carrey.

The Human Centipede trilogy: Honestly, I can't describe how much these movies disgust me. Not so much about the visuals, but more about the serious unnecessary cruelty in them. Even in the Human Centipede 3. NOBODY deserves ANY of the treatment that the victims in these movies got. Like, you can be the worst piece of s*** serial killer on EARTH, and even YOU don't deserve to have your limbs severed and have your lips sewn to somebody's anus. I'm seriously getting so angry talking about this, so lets just move on...

The Starving Games: Wow. I seriously couldn't believe how bad this was. This is obviously supposed to be a parody of "The Hunger Games", but this movie is PAINFULLY unfunny. Like... NONE of the jokes in this movie are funny. Like, literally NONE of them. Aren't parodies supposed to be funny? I actually looked up who made this movie, and it was apparently made by Seltzer and Friedberg, AKA the same guys who made such masterpieces as "Date Movie" and "Vampires Suck". Well, at least that explains how bad it is.

(I know there's a lot of other movies that people consider the worst I haven't listed here. For the record, if I haven't SEEN the movie, I'm not gonna add it here.)

In no particular order:

Forrest Gump - Possibly the most overrated movie to me. I hate nearly everything about it. I hate the premise, the tone, the characters especially Forrest himself, the stupid dialogue, the situations that all contribute to misery around the main character but of course he is perfectly fine and oblivious to everything because he is so special. This is one of the only movies I can think of where the protagonist does something entirely pointless for an entire segment, they have tons of people obsess over it for no reason and then the main character is just like "I didn't have a reason. Oh yeah, I am going home now bye" and that is somehow considered entertaining. To each their own of course, but I hate this film. Every time I hear anyone say "Run Forrest!" or the box of chocolates line, I hate the movie just a little bit more.

Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows - A total bastardization of the original film, which is one of my favorite horror movies ever. This "sequel" has no love to the original, has terrible acting, a plot that makes no sense and an ending that tries to be so mysterious and edgy but falls flat on its face.

Sinister - Speaking of horror movies, this is one I have heard so much praise for and that was the main reason I watched it. I was thinking, a horror movie that is getting tons of praise? Awesome! Oh boy, how wrong I was. This movie is terrible. While it has some cool ideas and a couple of really creepy scenes, most of this film doesn't add up. The characters are all stupid, having disputes that go nowhere. The recordings, while a couple of them are creepy, mostly do nothing, especially that stupid lawnmower one that almost everyone says is the scariest thing in the movie. People only say that because it HAS A MASSIVE JUMPSCARE NOISE. One that is obviously out of place and put there just to go "BOO!". If that sound was not there, that particular scene would have instantly been a thousand times more effective and would have legit got to me, but that stupid noise ruins the whole effect. There are plenty of other jumpscares in the movie too, something that baffles me when people praise all of this so much. There is also one particular scene that apparently is super convinced that it is so creepy and terrifying, but it actually is cringey and lame as hell, it too has at least a couple of jumpscares to go along with it. I will never understand why people loved Sinister so much.

The Fog (Remake) - As you can tell, I hate very poorly done horror films. The original film 'The Fog' is one of my cult favorites in the genre. It isn't perfect, but for it being low budget, it surprised me with its very foreboding atmosphere, well done effects for the fog itself and most notably its terrifying soundtrack that I will never forget. The remake? It has none of those things. It does contain however, shitty CGI ghosts, a soundtrack that was so bland that I couldn't remember it now and nothing scary to speak of. The worst part is that John Carpenter, who directed the original film, was involved in this remake. It is a tragedy.

Joe Dirt - I could just include any film involving Adam Sandler in any capacity whatsoever, as I believe his studio made this one and in terms of film, Sandler is a worthless dolt that deserve to go entirely bankrupt, but Joe Dirt gets a special nomination because, unsurprisingly, tons of people actually love this pile of vomit claiming to be a "movie". This is the USA so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Thinking about it, Joe Dirt is essentially Forrest Gump, but somehow made 1 million times more stupid and unbearable. Poo humor is abundant here, every single character is the worst thing ever and there isn't a single ounce of soul in this travesty. I think the same people that oh so love this pile of filth are the same people keeping Adam Sandler's miserable film career alive. Pathetic.

The Passion of the Christ - A self-absorbed slog of torture porn that displays its violence like it has a higher purpose and uses that violence to get across its message.

I'll think of more in time.

Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows

There has never been a "Found Footage" movie I ever liked. They all look downright stupid and phony to me. The even did an episode of Doctor Who using the "Found Footage" nonsense. I watched about ten minutes, and never went back to it. Oh, and Doctor Who is my favorite show. I just won't ever watch "Sleep no more" or the asinine "Love and Monsters" episode. Good God, that one was horrible! I sat through the whole thing, and then actually deleted it from my hard drive so I never accidentally see it again.

Funny thing is that Blair Witch 2 isn't even found footage, so that too is a total departure of the original film. What makes the original Blair Witch Project work so well for me, is the realism of it all, the fantastic acting that creates dread and that deeply rooted fear of the unknown, which I think is nailed perfectly in the first film. You never know what is making those noises in the darkness of the night. It gives me chills. Blair Witch 2 on the other hand gives me chills by making me want to vomit from its stupidity. I understand that the first film is not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it. BW2 though is one that is very easily universally hated.

I admit to never seeing two, but I did see the original. Sorry, but I never noticed any realism or fantastic acting.

:please:

Again, to each their own. Everyone seems to love Sinister but I despise it.

Box is like a box of boxes, you never know what you're gonna box.

The movie would have maybe pulled me if it had that line instead.

  • House Arrest
  • Life Is Beautiful
  • Drawn Together: The Movie (or as many clips as I can stomach)

Watched it once in theaters. I don’t remember it well, but I found it boring, and the cliffhanger at the end didn’t help.

Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas (guilty pleasure) was so much better than Belle's Magicial World.

Son of the Mask was the worst movie I've seen in theaters. I rather see Mike Myers as the Cat in the Hat 10 times in a row.

To me, that long list of unanswered questions the Nostalgia Critic brought up at the end of his review is my main reason for hating it. (Play from 21:00 if you want to hear)
