I don't consider myself a big fan of anime (maybe because I find most anime fans annoying), but now that I think about it, I've seen a lot more than I realized. Anyways, here are some of my favorites:

 

Full Metal Alchemist: something about how it is equal parts comedy and tragedy

 

FLCL: the confusing, deranged randomness is like junk food for my brain

 

Chobits: most of the characters are Mary Sues, but the combination of cerebral sweetness and conspiracy/plot is nice

 

Paranoia Agent: the show has a ton of -- well -- paranoia which I love

RuPony Kenshin is best anime, behind Soul Eater and something something limit bypass. I weally wike Soul Eater.

Hellsing. I recommend Hellsing. Any of the two series~ And Fairy Tail!

 

As for my favourites... I'm more of a reader... So these are mostly based on the manga's~

Naruto (Ninjas. Need I say any more?)

 

Dragonball (Any of them, but GT)

 

One Piece (ADVENTURE!)

 

Death Note (It was AWESOME... Til a certain thing happened halfway through.)

 

Fairy Tail (So much energy and friendship in that one! And humor! And RAGE!)

 

Rosario + Vampire (It's funny and epic at the same time~)

 

Avatar - The Last Airbender (One of the VERY few anime's that has been cast on TV here in Norway... Other than Pokemon and those collector-game-animes like Duel Masters and Bedaman.... Which both were awesome!)

 

Pokemon (As mentione - One of the very few anime's that have run on Norwegian TV... And still does. I don't watch it anymore. Or TV all that much for that matter~)

 

Yu-Gi-Oh! (Saw it first when I was nine and in Portugal on vacation... It's got games and I'm a gamer~)
