Media is always interested in pandering to the lowest common denominator in the broadest sense possible. They more or less report fallacy to their audience, because that's what their audience wants to hear. It's money.

They'll doubtlessly try to use shock humor. To which I would respond: "You realize you're screaming for people to react without thinking. This is exactly the same as sexism or racism: 'Women wearing pants!? That's outrageous! Blacks voting!? That's outrageous!' - what you're saying is exactly the same thing! We're promoting peace and kindness - and what are you promoting!?"

 

There will not be many laughs after that second remark about blacks voting and civil rights.. That's shock effect, minus the humor. Very effective to get people to shut up and stop laughing. That's how you turn a "laughingstock" setting into something very serious, very quickly.

 

Stinks being a very small minority. When a significant minority - such as an ethnicitiy - is fairly large, they carry political power and nobody messes with them, and it's considered politically incorrect to make fun of them.

 

But when a minority is truly a minority, people like to make them into a laughingstock.

 

And of course, he's a comedian - all he cares about is laughs. It doesn't matter if he damages the reputation of millions of people to do it - he just wants laughs.

Why are you always so negative and rude towards the "bad" parts of the fandom? It's more annoying than anything, always seeing you call out the cloppers, and people like that, for no reason in threads. You don't have to be so pessimistic about a miniscule part of the fandom.

Guys, look at it this way: we wanted to become known, we wanted to be popular. With popularity come the haters. This isn't a bad thing; it just means that we've just become a significant minority. Keep going, and soon there will be so many of us, it will become politically incorrect to judge us. You know those huge, 4-legged machines from the attack on the Rebel base on the "Hoth" in Star Wars? There is porn of those machines. I wouldn't doubt there's porn of clippy from Microsoft Office.

I would say 'I am tired of everyday we are consumed by violence and how people treat one another like sh*t. This show has lessons that we should all learn. That's why it would be a good idea for families to sit down and watch an episode. The show has gotten so much hate on it, just because it was origionally designed for girls. If most guys watch it, than it should then be considered a show for guys. So what that you are humiating me on national telivision. I'm pretty that when fo do make fun of me and ruin my life, I'll sue you, and make sure you never air another episode. Right now, bronies are spreading like wildfire. Go ahead and make fun if us. If we just stick to an extreme stereotype than the we can at least have some shits and giggles with added publicity. Remember, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
