Favorite and Least Favorite antagonist

Well, the show had it's antagonists. So as the title saus, who was your most and least favorite antagonist?

 

My most favorite was Diamond Tiara. She's a bully, she wants to see others suffer whike she is better, etc. by the end of the episode, she successfully plays the role intended.

 

My least favorite was the Cider Brothers, whoever they were called, or Chystalis. Both didn't do so well, and Chystalis was beaten in a horribly lame manner. The Brothers were just so lame.

The FlimFlam Brothers have the best song in the entire series. As such, they are my favourite antagonists.

 

My least favourite antagonists were the Diamond Dogs. They just seemed too goofy.

My least favorite though would be those two who were calling rainbow dash, rainbow "Crash" when she was a filly.

Best is Discord. He's funny, smart and witty, in addition to being a unique 'omni-being' type of villain, that forces the characters to outwit or outdo the villain, instead of beating him directly.

 

Honorable mentions are Chrysalis and Gilda. Chrysalis had a Disney villain thing going with her song and style of villain-ry, and she had a cool design. Gilda is a 'best friend of your friend, whose a bully behind your friends' back' which I found to not be done too often, at least not in the shows I've seen. Plus she's a griffin, and that's pretty sweet. Nice break from ponies everywhere.

 

Least is Diamond Tiara. She does her job as bitch well but I also like her the least because she's just obnoxious, and isn't that interesting of a villain to me. 'Wealthy stuck up' has been done ten billion times over, and she has no unique style of doing it.

Thanks for the opinion :3 But knowing the character isn't one of the major parts of my analysis. As non-reoccurring villains they can only do so much. Chrysalis' villainry style is far different from Discord, so she chose to stay in disguise. But nontheless we did see her plenty.

So far I don't think I'd get along with any of them. I think Discord would get old. And he never distinguishes between friend and victim. Q, which Discord was based on, is more prone to having favorites and choosing sides. Discord definitely gets my fear factor. I would feel very nervous knowing he was at liberty. Chrysalis is more of the classic villain archetype. She doesn't have much style compared to Discord, though.

 

If we're talking which one is our favorite, I would go with Discord, though.

 

Trixie rates as my least favorite because she never really did anything but brag and lie. She might've even been a nice pony if she hadn't tried to hype her act as much as she did.

The teenage dragons from "Dragon Quest". The whole episode was a long bore to me, and they made it so much worse.

My favorite antagonist is Trixie, her arrogance and voice are awesome.

 

Chrysalis and Discord come in close seconds. Chrysalis was that one Disney villain that you just can't forget, and Discord was hilarious to say the least.

 

My least favorite are the stuck up couple from "Sweet and Elite" if you can even call them antagonists.

The Diamond dogs, to me, were a joke that wasn't funny. The whole episode would probably be u-nwatchable if it wasn't for Rarity.

Now my favorite was Trixie. She was so arrogant and self centered in her personality, that it made things pretty enjoyable throughout the episode.

Like 'em: Nightmare moon and Chrysalis.

Hate 'em: Everypony else. Special shout out to Diamond Tiara though, she deserves to get mentioned by name.

Probably my favorite antagonist is a tie between Discord and Trixie. In my opinion out of all the villains so far, Discord was the one that has gotten the closest to actually defeating the Mane6. Which says alot considering how the Mane6 are so awesome. As for Trixie...well how can you not like her?

 

Least favorite antagonist or antagonists has to be Flim and Flam, I mean the music was great but I just didn't really see them as anything more than annoying.

How could I say anything but Discord for best antagonist?

He strolled back into the lives of every pony in Equestria with no plan and manages to change the lives of every single creature. Once more, it takes some serious balls to stroll into an area and tear it up without a plan. That and he never actually harmed any creature, his mischief was his main weapon and that makes him fantastic. Finally, he was so powerful that he didn't think he could be beaten so he let the Elements freeze him up which may sound pretty arrogant of him but you know you've got to be pretty powerful if you can shrug off the solar and lunar Goddesses.

 

Worst antagonist goes to Gilda.

Not because I don't like her but because she wasn't really that big an antagonist, she made a mistake and now everypony and body hates her which I find a little bit cruel. She isn't a real antagonist, just misunderstood and quick to anger and it still riles me a little bit that ponies can forgive each other for nearly destroying the town to create a friendship report but they'll chase a griffon out for being a bit disrespectful and mean. Since Gilda really wasn't an antagonist but is regarded as one, she is my least favourite because she makes me feel sorry for her.
