Taviscratch 453 May 4, 2014 Share May 4, 2014 (edited) To ease your worries of whether or not your the only brony who's 30 and up, check this out! I LOVE IT! These are bronies, REAL bronies who are active, vet or involved in the military and quite a few of them are either in the upper 30s to even the senior age! It's awsome! XD The drill instructor parts were just hilarious! I assume recruits in the American military actually find them intimidating but to the British, they're just fucking ridiculous. There's just something funny about some guy absolutely losing his shit over nothing in particular and shouting at a recruit to the point where he gets red in the face and his voice starts cracking while it doesn't even affect the recruit in the slightest. It might have been scarier back when they would beat the shit out of recruits who didn't obey orders. These days though, it just seems like a laughable attempt at overcompensating for something XD Edited May 4, 2014 by Taviscratch 2 Sig by [member=~TheGammy~]

Fhaolan 4,484 May 4, 2014 Share May 4, 2014 Yeah, there's bunches of us in the 40+ range that are active on this forum, and I'm aware of several 50+'s now. You thirty-year-olds are youngun's still.
Fender 1,283 May 4, 2014 Share May 4, 2014 Even my daughter who watches MLP with me asked me the other day why I am an adult and like them. I'm 16, and I like to study psychology as a past time. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a brony at your age, especially when people older than you are bronies as well, and that still isn't a problem. Shimmer Down 668 May 5, 2014 Share May 5, 2014 25 here. Recently a brony, but I'm an all-around video game, anime, comic book geek over all. Even if the show gets canned, even if I stop liking it, I'll always be able to look back at MLP: FiM with nostalgia and fondness. There's really nothing wrong with being a brony, no matter your age. I'll let Simon Pegg sum it up: 1 "My past does not define me 'Cause my past is not today."
Sunny Fox 5,952 May 5, 2014 Share May 5, 2014 I have enjoyed Mlp since the first season. I was just wondering are there bronies that are actually around 30. I kind of feel lonely being the only person that I know personally that is about 30. I was just wondering am I strange for being this old and loves MLP? I'm 32. And I'm far from the oldest member on the forum, let alone the oldest brony! Happy minion of The Fabulous One! I kind of feel lonely being the only person that I know personally that is about 30. I was just wondering am I strange for being this old and loves MLP? No, of course you're not strange! The creators of MLP even said that the show was for everyone. There are plenty of older fans, even on this very site! Indeed, there have also been several other threads just like this one. I've merged yours with those. This way, you'll be able to find more of your kind!

Washougal_Otaku 1,020 May 5, 2014 Share May 5, 2014 MLP rightfully has a ton of young fans, but are there any bronies out there like myself who are of the older persuasion? I turned 31 in August and vividly remember watching G1 when I was a little boy in kindergarten. Just curious. I turned 31 in December, so I can relate. I was forced to watch the original stuff by my older sister. At times, it wasn't bad, such as the first movie and the series' villain with her lizard minion (or was it minions...?). Even if G2, 3, and 3.5 didn't exist, G4 is still a major improvement for the franchise. :comeatus: Gimme some time to come up with something new, okay? MUCH LOVES!!! ghostfacekiller39 23,860 May 6, 2014 Share May 6, 2014 I'm 17. I'm totes old. But nahh. I'm on the younger side of the fandom, I believe. A majority of bronies seem to be 18+ Not that there's a problem with that; it's a good show. I like it because I like it, anyway. Wouldn't really matter if everyone was 13 or everyone was 50. I'd watch it anyway, because I find enjoyment in it 1 He who is Positively Obsessed With All Things Rarity!!! Check out the Rarity Fan Club! "Not everyone who is pretty is necessarily beautiful. KarentheUnicorn 218 May 6, 2014 Share May 6, 2014 I don't recall what the Flutter Ponies look like exactly, but isn't the clear-winged Rarity that appears in Sonic Rainboom essentially the same thing? I seem to vaguely remember Hasbro selling a Rarity based on that design when I was pony shopping with my best friend last year. Kind of in the newser sense I guess. *shrugs* my avay is of RoseDust from Gen 1. Her wings are shorter but clear. They flutter much like a fairy would, thus why they are Fultter Ponies. Only RoseDust, Morning Glory, and Honeysuckel where ever really seen in the actual tv series in 1986. That might be why some don't really remember them so well ^^ RD Actually I would say that Flutter Ponies are more like the breezies; because they're sort of a different breed of pony compared to the regular ponies. The flutter ponies are in the G1 Movie, as it was part of the plot that the main characters had to find the flutters because they had the power to defeat the smooze. While only a few flutter ponies had speaking rolls, there are actually bunches of flutters portrayed in some scenes. Also the toy line had more actual characters available to purchase. And with G1 each flutter would have it's own special backcard story it came with - it gave kids more options than the characters available on the TV program. Also with the MLP movie - Hasbro ran a promotion and there was a special edition mail order flutter pony named Hollywood you could only get directly from hasbro, she was not sold in stores. The original set of flutter ponies sold in stores were 6 ponies, Honeysuckle, Morning Glory, Forget-Me-Not, Rosedust, Lily, and peach blossom. The next set of Flutters were 4 ponies, Wind Drifter, Tropical Breeze, Wingsong and Cloud Puff. There are also 2 other flutters sold in pony sets, the party gift pack included Yum Yum and the slumber party pack included Pink Dreams. So unless I'm forgetting someone, Add Hollywood into that and the total number of Flutter ponies characters in the MLP line are 13. Flutter ponies also were kind of fragile. Children tended to break the wings easily, this is the reason today if you collect the toy like it's very hard to come by flutters with original wings unbroken.
