Any regrets learning about MLP:FiM?

Clarity

Recommended Posts

So! You've watched MLP and gotten involved with ponies like everyone else here.

But...do you have any regrets learning about ponies?

I know you probably wouldn't regret a single thing. You've been brought into this great community and seen some great fanon stuff...

However, I do. Sometimes...

Because of ponies, I am happy. I love seeing the colorful faces brighten up my world...but it also diminished it. I became too addicted...lagging behind my studies, getting horrible grades and missing homework. If I hadn't known about MLP my grades would've been better.

That's my regret, but the fact that I met ponies and all the good things that came along with it outweighs my school grades.

What about you? :)

When I became a brony, I've met a ton of cool people to chill with.

Being a brony has also helped me weed out some of my "friends". The ones who criticize and insult me in a non-joking manner for being a brony were in my mind, "Never friends in the first place," while the people who stick by my side and don't mind/care that I'm a brony are real friends.

So really, being a brony has its benefits.

I really don't regret anything :D The community is awesome, ponies have been the needed kick in the flank for me to change from depressive pessimist into the happy person I am now, I have met two absolutely amazing people from my country here...

The only thing I think everyone can relate altogether is the generalization(s) of bronies. Whether grown men watching ponies, kloppers, merch addicts, and ect. - People judge upon all that, and I don't want to be seen being completely acknowledged as being obsessed with ponies. (even though I am; isn't the reason why I'm on this forum?) Other than that everything is fine.

Not really xP It has taken a large amount of my leisure time though I think it's all worth it. It's something you can talk about with friends and even make more friends around the World. I've made some enemies letting them know I'm a brony, but I've made even more friends by being one so I guess that makes it better for me xP

I'm trying to think of a reason to regret liking MLP, but no thoughts appear in my head whatsoever.

So that means......CUPCAKES I don't regret anything!! MLP changed my life, and without it, I would never have been as happy as I am now. The same with Pokemon. That just made my life full of happiness.

No brony should have anything to regret about this show. How is there anything to regret?! I got to meet you guys, I learned what a fillie is, a mare is, a stallion is. I learned that friendship is one of the most powerful things of all. However, maybe some people regret it because it led to their classmates and stuff teasing and possibly harrasing them because their a brony. But if somebody does, all you need to say is

Really, this show is just amazing. Even if somepony DOES regret some parts of it, it would probably be something minor. Who could regret these wonderful, colored ponies that made us all happy! :)

I have only a few regrets. It's a cool show, and I really enjoy it. MLP transformed into a show that I could use after a long day at school to relax. It's just really one hell of a show. It's interesting, funny, and a great time-waster.

The community is welcoming and friendly. I feel right at home with everyone here. Everyone seems to be open and happy about sharing their knowledge about ponies.

My only major regrets consist of teasing by both my parents and classmates. It does make me feel upset. There isn't really anything thatI can do about it though.

Naw, I don't regret watching the show, though there are some artwork and fanfic that I wish I could unsee. I think the show is great, and people shouldn't regret watching a good TV show.

Not really, I'm not dead because of the show so I owe it my damn life.

No regret at all. I've become a happier, cheery, less angry/depressed person.

I'm still a Russian man though, beard and scars included. Yet I am such a happier person now, happiest i've been in years.

I'd have to say when I found out this existed:

No regrets, ever. I chose this, this is what I wanted and I'll stand by it. Like everything else in life, you just gotta learn how to balance it for it to not take over. Sure, I might dislike the extremes of the fandom but it never gets past that.

Not a one, the show and the people I've meant online because of it have driven me to me to work harder at becoming an artist and writer then i ever have before.

I knew that ponys were starting to get popular when MU opened a new websight focused on ponys.... If I hadn't been a script wrighter for MU I'd wound have never become a brony.... Now I'm a script wrighter for MU and EU...

Not really. No one IRL really gives me a hard time about it, it got me out of my dreaded weeaboo phase, and it really helped me get more in touch with my rather femmy side. Also, it helps me put a lot more faith into modern TV, not to mention KIDS shows as well.

So no, I don't regret it, not in the slightest!

I try to convince myself that it's not true, but there are a few I have...

One being the fact that I spend a lot more time here and doing other pony related things than doing homework or even simply socializing. The socializing part I don't find very bad because I'm not good at it and I don't really like socializing anyway. :/

However the pros much outweigh the cons. I've met so many friends from being a brony and just coming on these forums. I'm also about 20 times happier ever since becoming a brony. I was a miserable teen until I became a brony with no friends or direction whatsoever and... The show was just so wonderful. The colour and energy... It was great. I am now much happier with my new brony friends and this wonderful, energetic, colourful show to share with all of you!

:D

So yeah. Not at all because if I had the choice to go back and time and stop myself from ever watching the show, I wouldn't do it.

Actually, there is only one thing that I regret and that's seeing FluttershyxBigMac anything.

Nothing makes me more infuriated than that.

The show's fandom introduced me to something I hate more than Stalin.

Not in the slightest. Frankly I've always been half-recluse anyway. I spend plenty of time with family and friends, but like Twilight herself, I greatly enjoy time to myself, doing the things I like to do; the top thing I like doing being the interwebz. So all in all, ponies have done nothing but given me fun times, great fiction, amazing pictures and fantastic music to experience.

Not a thing. Since starting to watch this show and being involved with the community, even if I'm not THAT active, has really brightened up my life. I'm use to the negativity that some people try to place on me because of what I am a part of, and I just shrug it off. If you're that stuck in your ways that you judge everyone who takes part in something as a whole, then I feel sorry for you. You won't be able to change my mind, I'll just keep enjoying my life whether you come around or not.

I don't really have any friends IRL so it hasn't cut into any social aspect, not that I'd have one even if I did have friends since social settings make me super uncomfortable. Most of my time has always been spent alone, playing games or surfing the web. I've been done with school for a few years so it isn't hurting that, and I'm currently unemployed so that moot too. Though if I wasn't, a job is a job and you can't let hobbies keep you from that. How else are you going to afford all that epic pony loots?

Nope, I don't regret a thing. One of the best fandoms I've been a part of, and I hope it just keeps getting better and the darker sides of it don't one day consume it because of the media. That's all it takes, look what they did to the furry fandom... >.<

I really tried to find something, but I couldn't. MLP is a good show and I like it, so why would I regret watching it?

To be honest, ponies don't have any influence on my life(maybe except my ringtone). I'm the same person as I was before becoming a brony.

This right here. Although admittedly I'm a lot older then some of you. I can say with all my heart that I have never been part of any community that has given me passion, confidence, love and friendship all in one place. I love this place, I love you guys, I love what it's making me all become.

edit: I regret learning that Hasbro isn't doing more then it is to support the fandom. Then again, it may also be because they know the fandom loves expanding on it in their own way. They are fairly lenient with us after all.

I think me finding out about MLP.FiM has no downside at all. I'm not too obsessed with it. (Yeah, my grades are good.) and I really love watching it.

Another thing the community has given me is all the great music. There's just so much of it! And it's all sooooooo good!

It also made me realise just how good electro is. But that's off topic.

One downside could be that if a normal person. (hehe, normal...) Notices you are a brony or pegasister. Many will judge you. What I mean to say is that this community as well as the show itself are misunderstood by the general public.
