Favorite MLP Shipping and Why?

Sorry if you disagree, but shipping is wrong. If they were meant to be togeather, then the story would have had them togeather.

Anyway, people understand that others think that shipping is wrong/doesn't sound right, and that it won't happen, but it wouldn't hurt others to think/discuss it. I'm not that much of a shipper myself, but the thought of shipping is an interesting process.

 

Now, the only contribtuion I'll probably make towards a shipping I can see. Rainbow and AJ.

Wrong? You make it sound like it's a sin or a crime. Shipping is simply folks who enjoy taking characters and exploring them with their own imaginations. It's like when little kids take toys from their favorite show and imagine those characters going on wild and crazy adventures. Buzz Lightyear and Spongebob probably aren't ever going to ride a train to Mickey's clubhouse, but try telling that to my 5 year old cousin who just wants to play with his favorite characters in however he finds enjoyable. Is he "wrong" now? No. He's playing. And ultimately, shipping ponies (or any characters from any tv show, movie, book, etc.) is just that, playing.

the reason I don't like shipping of ANY kind is because, they don't make anykind of logical sense whatsoever... it's the same kinda shit that happens in the SONIC fanbase... god... I mean, pinkie pie and discord, HOW THE HELL DOES THAT MAKE SENSE!?

 

most of the stuff is lesbian shit anyway sense they're all girl ponies... and before someone condones me for not liking same sex, well... just remember it's my opinion, I still respect the rights...

 

I see shipping like this: a boy and a girl are freinds (or freinds of the same sex), people then have to turn that friendship and then turn it into something it's not... that's how I see it...

Trying to make sense of something that has Discord in it? What is this, I don't even I don't support the pairing, but they're paired because they both love to laugh, they both love to have fun, they both love to party, she loves his powers that bring chocolate rain, etc etc. *shrug*

 

Your opinion is your own, but good to know you're not a biased homophobe or anything ^^ Respecting the rights of the idea, and the rights for others to happily enjoy what they like, is the most important thing.

I half-agree with your sentiments. The Sonic fanbase is truly one of the worst when it comes to shipping. Furthermore, Pinkie x Discord is one of the wonkier ships of the MLP fandom; I definitely can't get comfortable with the Element of Laughter being shipped with a demon, but that happens in practically every fandom with a popular villain.

 

I disagree with the distaste for MLP ships due to the number same-sex couplings. In a world like Equestria, it actually has context to make sense. But I agree that such relationships should still flow normally rather than simply turn into romps in the hay which equate to love (not that one-night stands wouldn't be an interesting topic to pursue in MLP shipping).
