Should S4E3 be a Rarity episode?

I highly doubt that the season 4 premiere will be a Rarity episode, but I hope that the very next episode is one. than could be a cmc episode, followed by an episode for another mane six character, etc.

 

Do you think that Rarity's episode will come early in season 4? Because it's 26 episodes, there's bound to be at least one.

 

And although it sucks that she didn't get a season 3 episode (i was really hoping Games Ponies Play would be one) there is a reason. No, Hasbro doesn't hate Rarity, and neither do the writers. Spike At Your Service was originally going to be a Rarity/Spike episode, but the writers noticed that they ended up writing Rarity very poorly. I've said before that Spike At Your Service isn't my favorite episode of the season, but what we got is better than seeing Rarity treat Spike like a slave.

I'm not picky. As long as she gets high quality episodes in Season 4 I don't particularly care when in the season they come along. I think that they are conscious that Rarity hasn't had much screentime recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if those running the show chose to give her some ASAP.

I've never heard that. I have seen the art, but I always thought it was just a thing now. Kind of like how drawing baby chrysalis was a thing for a few days.

I think we can see new Rarity episodes in season 4. Hopefully they're sooner to make up for her lost screen-time. I'm hoping they can make her character even more dynamic.

Now, someone who I would like to see be built on in terms of character is Applejack. She seems very 2D to me.

People didn't talk about who's episode an episode was. Because the episodes weren't about a character in particular, but about the friendship that all of the characters shared. All people would talk about is how magical friendship was, and how magical every single episode was...

I can't imagine what friendship lesson that could possible teach.

That's true, but what I really want is Rarity to have more screen time. It doesn't necessarily have to be a "Rarity episode" but I want her to have a big role in it. I think any episode in season 4 should be a Rarity episode.Rarity deserves more episodes.Not episode 1 or 2 cause those 2 might be twilicorn episodes.

To be fair, the episode had a lot to do with Rainbow Dash, although it was mostly centered on both Dash and Twilight.

 

Rainbow Dash was even the one who had to learn the lesson in the episode and did a lot of talking, so I don't fault anypony for saying that's a Rainbow Dash episode.

Does it matter the order in which Rarity is going to have her episode? It's not important to me, unless she gets completely ignored this season as well. Now, in that case I would flip some tables.

Anyways, I believe she's gonna have 2 episodes. One for her and another one with Sweetie Belle, but what's this thing with Rarity fighting a crab?

Top 4 things I want to see from Rarity in S4

 

1. An emphasis on the whole being the Element of Generosity thing. We must remind the people why she has friends.

 

2. More reference to Spike relationship. After all that traction in S2, only one "Spikey-Wikey" in The Crystal Empire. In fact, it seemed to regress a little bit (giving him the tiniest piece of the tiniest ruby for looking after her cat). Focus groups suggest that inter-species ships involving unicorns are in this year.

 

3. A story that goes beyond fashion and high society. Please.

I agree that Rarity should get an episode this season, as there was an astonishing lackluster in the previous season, but do we really need to ask for such specifics? Any of the 26 possible episodes for Rarity's limelight is fine, it doesn't absolutely need to be episode three.

It definitely could be, since so far in three Seasons, Ep.3 always has something to do with either culture(The Ticket Master) or ponies being able to do magic/breaking of 4th wall (The Ticket Master, Lesson Zero-Twilight. Too Many Pinkie Pies-Pinkie, Duh.) I know that isn't a very good reasons, but there's a rumor that the episode after the premiere is called "Rarity for Two". We'll see.

Anyway, I must agree that the episodes should be about the Mane 6 together, rather than individuals. However I would like to see Rarity have an important/leading role. I personally think Rarity is a great character, but the writers need to develop her "generous" personality a bit more. <3

I agree with this to an extent, but I don't think anyone here is saying that they don't want an episode that doesn't feature everyone solving things together as friends. I think what they mean is that the main character or focus of the episode they want to be Rarity; even in season one, which had episodes like "Dragonshy" that featured the Mane Six about equally focused mainly on a single pony, such as Fluttershy.

 

Again, I agree, but I want to clarify that not everyone just wants the episode to be about that pony and no one else.

I really wouldn't care or not if S4 had a Rarity episode. But if they do make a Rarity episode, if better not be about her collection diamonds and stuff for a dress she is making for a celebrity or something. It should have at least some action in it to keep the audience interested in the episode and/or Rarity perhaps.
