movies/tv Your First Time watching a Anime.

My first anime (not counting Pokemon or YuGiOh or DBZ) was Neon Genesis Evangelion. Not a good place to start for most people, but I enjoyed it. I didn't get interested in anime again for awhile, but occasionally I would try to watch a new series. Then I saw Gurren Lagann, and my life changed forever.

I don't really watch alot of Anime, the only ones I really watch are Pokemon, and I watched some DBZ.

Pokemon was the first one, and i actually still enjoy it to be honest, watching it through right now kinda. On like episode 105 or something :P.

Other then that i really don't have any other anime i've watched, just never got into any, plus with MLP and Pokemon and other stuff I really don't have time to.

The first anime I can remember ever watching were Sailor Moon and Lupin III tho I never actually realized they were anime until much later, seeing as the medium Freedan junior did not know the difference between anime and cartoons way back when. But after a traumatic experience involving some parental bashing, I refused to watch any of it until I came out of my shell with this:

I was back in Italy for the summer after my first year in Saudi. The year didn't go so well for me. My first time in a new country, still being bullied by everyone, poor grades, and what looked like a hopeless endeavor to get fit by joining the swim team. That's when I chanced upon what I think is to this day one of the most epic fight scenes in anime history. Goku vs Frieza. I continued watching Dragonball Z after that, and it served to me as an inspiration to grow, to become stronger. My second year at school in Saudi (mind you, I didn't go to a Saudi school but a british international school) was much better. By the end, I was the top swimmer in the team save for one other, I gained respect from those who bullied me before by showing I am worth something, and my grades improved tenfold. Dragonball Z wasn't simply the first anime I watched (whilst aware of it being an anime at least). It was my childhood.

I watched the first episode of this, downloading the rest!

I saw someone on YouTube say that this is a masterpiece, and I have to agree with them. Like come on, they even have their own Joker! :D

And no, I haven't seen any animes besides this right now.

Mine was the original Pokémon show. Also, I remember being addicted to the movie Spirited Away when I was younger. I would always watch it. While Pokémon is awesome and all, I'd say Spirited Away was my first actual anime. Such an awesome movie. I think I'll go watch it now. Naruto was the anime that got me into anime. I remember watching it every week on Cartoon Network.

I think the first one I started watching semi regularly was Cardcaptor Sakura. Then came Dragonball Z and Pokemon; these two I remember much more of than Cardcaptor Sakura.

My first anime was Sailor Moon, on Toonami when it was on in the afternoons after school. That just opened the floodgates for me. After that it was Dragonball Z, and Tenchi Muyo. Now however I can't stand any of them. The stories just don't interest me anymore. Now I watch stories like Spice & Wolf (even thought there are only two seasons), Speedgrapher, and Death Note. Yeah my tastes have kind of shifted, but still love finding new titles to watch.

My first anime was Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon, that was back in the mid/late 90s.  I wasn't all that fond of Pokemon or Digimon.Still not. I also remember The Adventures of Jackie Chan. Then later it was the original YuGi Oh series. Which was the last anime i ever watched.

Like everyone else, I watched Pokemon first, but I also got into Digimon at the same time (they were not airing at the same time where I live so I could watch them both).  The first anime I watched that I was looking for was Naruto.  I'm not into it anymore though as it quickly got boring for me in the shippuden series.

Well, my first anime want so much an anime series as it was a movie. "Spirited away" was my first anime/anime movie and it really got me in the the whole anime crowd. It had a really unique and bazar story line to it in a good way and, Id really recommend it to anypony who is interested in anime. It was made by who a lot of people refer to the king of anime. My first anime that was a series and had episodes was "Full Metal Alchemist".

My first anime was Pokemon, which I loved but the first thing I though was "why do their mouths move weird"

But it was Digimon, G Gundam and DBZ that made me an anime fan

Sailor Moon. I believe that was one of the first animes to be serialized on American TV. I was too young to remember much of it. Then when Pokemon and Digimon came out I was totally into those show. My current favorite Anime is The World God Only Knows, I highly suggest the manga to anyone.

I've been wanting to get into anime for a while, but I literally have no clue where to start, so the first anime I ever watched was RWBY, which premiered a few days ago. :P. So yeah I haven't really gotten into any, so if you all have any recommendations, recommend them!

Yu-Gi-Oh! :D

Such nostalgia. That was one of the best animes I've watched. And need to rewatch. :/

After that came Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, you know the drill.

Durarara!, Gurren Lagan (action), The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, The World God Only Knows, Nichijou (comedy). I suggest watching most of these with subs. Happy Reading

My first anime was probably Ouran Highschool Host Club when I was 13. But I do remember watching Pokemon when I was little-er.

I recall watching Digimon as a kid: I recall my two friends telling me they liked it and it was a hush hush secret, and remember watching it at my Nanas old house in Essex on a half term holiday from my Primary school.

I also have this old school friend whose big into anmie: and he showed me this series called Chobits which I thought was ok.

That’s about it for me though: I’m not really that into animie but I have happy memories watching those two.
