In my opinion, Rarity and Twilight rank best pony every time because they're so great!

 

As for background, I'd say Octavia and Vinyl, they're just as awesome as well!

Yeah, although I like Fluttershy the most, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash are very close behind. It's difficult to choose one favorite pony!!!

Rarity

Gotta have the best design out of anypony in Equestria. Move aside, RD! What I love most about Rarity (besides that winning complexion) is her overall character. Tabitha St. Germain is one amazing voice actor, and she really characterizes Rarity to the fullest. Also my second favorite color scheme of the mane six. 10/10

 

Rainbow Dash

Oh, Rainbow Dash. Besides the massive crush I have on you, I just have to say that you're the best flyer ever. I could go on about your color scheme (my favorite), or your super-awesome-tastic voice, but I think you speak for yourself when you say, "I'm awesome!". Let the haters hate, we all know you're right. 10/10

 

Twilight Sparkle

Princess Twilight Sparkle. Such an adorkable mare! She has really captured my attention with her own silly little charm. Props to Tara Strong on the voice - excellent job characterizing this awesome pone. Twilight is one of the funnest ponies to watch in the show; Her reactions are priceless, and the way she overthinks things... Ahhh carry on being awesome! 10/10

I don't know why, but Rainbow Dash is my favourite pony, even though she is the exact opposite of me. 

I originally thought that Fluttershy would be my favourite, as Fluttershy+Twilight=Me, and while they are closely trailing behind by a gnats wing, Rainbow is and probably will be my all time favourite

I used to like Applejack before I even watched it, because she was a cowgirl pony, and the most normal looking one. When I actually started the show, I liked Scootaloo more. I have no Idea why, it could be that no one liked her, so I felt obligated to. But, once I saw all the episodes, I slowly slid closer and closer back to AJ.

Well of course. All the mane 6 are awesome and likable in their own way. Rainbow Dash of course towers above them all as best pony, but Applejack would be a close #2.

 

And that's not even mentioning my other favorite ponies like Vinyl, Time Turner, Fluttershy, and Derpy.

At first, when I saw the first and half of second season my favourite pony was fluttershy (because I was pretty much like her at the time I guess)

 

Then while waiting for the third I start doubt about myself and fluttershy stop being my favourite pony (that doesn't mean I hate her, just meh) she was to popular, so I started searching for a non popular pony and by searching in the list with the name of all the background ponies I found her

I've been conflicted between Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Fluttershy is adorable, cute, kind, and sweet. Pinkie Pie is silly, cute, funny, and always makes me smile.

 

I'm still leaning a bit towards Fluttershy for me though.

The pony I could relate myself best with would be Rainbow Dash, and that isn't a reason to turn her into my favorite-best pony. It's just she's like me in a lot of ways.

So at the end I couldn't possible choose just one of them. That wouldn't be fair, and it has nothing to do with me also sharing many other aspects with each member from the mane six. They're great in many different ways and that is what make them all equally great ponies, from my perspective.

So my answer would be "Yes" I have six best ponies and one little dragon that isn't actually a pony, but he seems to be one inside. And that is all that matters for me.

Nope, but I tend to like ponies based somewhat in groups, so you could say that I have more than one third/fourth/fifth best pony etc. Rarity, Flutters and Lightning Dust trade off for being my fourth favorite pony sometimes on a day to day basis, depending on my mood -_-

First, my favourite pony was Flutershy becouse of her cuteness and shyness.
But then I somehow suddenly liked Dashie and Twilight, probably becouse their characters and stories were conceived more than anyone else...

But that doesn't mean anything. You could have the entire cast as your best pony, dude Doesn't matter.

 

There isn't a rule about this, don't worry.

 

("Best Pony" is pretty much just slang for your #1 overall favorite, btw.  Doesn't mean you can't love the others as well. And it sounds like RD is your best pony, from the way you said it Just wanted to put that out there, dude, just in case you didn't mean it like that  )
