i like this idea! :)

so how does this work? are we just going to post random childhood memories? because i don't really have that many.

i do have one tough, about getting my first ever video game. metroid fusion on the GBA.

i played many games befor that, but that was the first game that was actually mine, the rest i always played over at a friend's house.

so yeah, everytime i get my GBA away from it's pile of dust, i still play that game.

oh the memories

Pokémon for sure. I've been a fan, and been buying the games since I was 5. That's...12 years, damn! My childhood was pretty much Pokémon. I have nothing but great memories of it.

edit: Wait, there's the little accent mark over the e in Pokémon. I didn't put that there...wait, it automatically does it for me? That's so freaking cool!

Time for the ultimate Ontario kid's TV nostalgia moments!

Remember TVO Kids fellow Ontarioans? Yeah they had TV shows like this remember?

And who could ever forget Arthur? Frickin Arthur?! And those old Disney TV shows like Talespin and Aladdin! That was da bomb!

It's pretty much stuff that you really enjoyed as a child or whenever you were younger is the main demographic for this thread. The rest of your post is what I'd use as an example anyway. :P

Time to be a necromancer and revive a 5 year old topic. I'm nostalgic for music that I have loved in the past and haven't listened to in awhile. I'm nostalgic playing with old friends that I barely speak with anymore. I guess I'm also nostalgic when the pony fandom was a bit newer a few years ago.

I'd say I'm nostalgic for the 2000s, been emulating a lot of childhood favorites I haven't played since and its been hitting me.

I'd also say I'm somewhat nostalgic for 2014, when I joined the forums. Seemed like there was so much more to do back then, than now.

I feel like I was born in the wrong era, although the 90's isn't too bad but still..

I'm nostalgic for the 1980s which I wasn't even around for! I was brought up on the '80s by my parents and I love it's styles, movies, toys, (some) music and all-around awesomeness, so I have adopted all of it as my own.

But in terms of my own personal experience, I look back with fondness on my childhood in the '90s and my favorite cartoon shows, Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs, which I watched exhaustively along with Disney Afternoon.

Also, family vacations growing up and delving into the worlds of Star Wars (the original six) pretty much sculpted me into who I am today.

Holing up in the basement or at a friend's house and playing multiplayer video games. Occasionally, I'll sit around and feel nostalgic about a general era in my life - a few times a decade, I take a walk past my old school and think about what life was like. It was pretty miserable, but it had its points.

I get nostalgic pretty often, about a lot from my childhood. Accidents and other developmental issues aside, it was actually quite good.

I remember all the Nicktoons reruns I used to watch, all the time I spent on my GameCube, my DS, and my Nintendo 64. I especially remember that one spot that I could go to and all my troubles went away after sitting there for a half hour.

Unfortunately, after the age of 11 or so, my life got progressively worse. To the point where I am now... Stuck with my dad, depressed, and living through abject hell. It's great, I tell you.

Back in middle school me and my friends would hang out at one person's house and play Black Ops 2 zombies while eating pizza and drinking Coke until we passed out. I miss talking to those guys.

I am a product of the 80s and 90s when cartoons were made to sell toys to children like GI Joe and Transformers. Anyone growing up during this time remembers waking up early for Saturday Morning cartoons. Grab a bowl of cereal and sit in front of the tv watching mindless cartoons for hours.

What could be better? The Disney Afternoon of course. Come home from school, throw your back bag on the floor, grab a snack and sit in front of the tv for a couple hours instead of doing homework.

My brother and I didn’t grow up on video games (our parents wouldn’t allow them). So we had computer games back before Windows and you had to type in commands on the keyboard.

I'm most nostalgic for the video games I played growing up, as well as the shows I used to watch - they may have not aged well nowadays, but I get enough satisfaction in relieving some of my best memories.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
