The only "guns" I ever owned were toy guns for my cowboy carnival costumes when I was a little child (and water guns). But a real gun? No, I am not a fan of guns and don't need one. Sure, in some situations, it can help, but I geuss the probability that this situation will happen is (at least here in my region) not that big. Besides this, here in germany, the gun control law are very strict and I am not in the mood to got trough these bureaucracy to got a gun license. It is also for me to much risk. When something happen, you can get really big trouble with the law.

I would love to own the Makarov. 8 rounds, not overkill and very reliable...
but not as reliable as my most wanted, S&W .38 Snubnose. 5 rounds of pure bliss and power that'll make even Goku jealous (okay maybe not that powerful)! Perfect home defense weapon, heck even the elderly can use it no problem.

Not really a gun. And launching a nuclear weapon is actually a complicated multi step process.

A Mauser broomhandle. Not sure why. I guess my dad always wanted one so it seems like someone should claim it. They’re also kinda pretty, as guns go.

It’s considered a rare collectors item. Used by a number of forces outside the U.S. and U.K. spheres, including both Germans and Russians. It has the rep of a bad guy weapon. Like a sidearm version of the AK family. It was also the basis for Han Solo’s blaster, again, the weapon’s normal association with bad guys further emphasizing his anti-hero status.

I'd like an AK47

Or a Saiga-12 shotgun. Or some pump-action.

I do not have a favorite pistol though. I shot a Glock and a PMM, but do not have a preference of one or the other. I have shot a semi-auto AK and an AR, as I remember I liked the AK better.

I have shot a pump-action shotgun and liked it a lot. I have not shot a Saiga, but it looks really cool.

Oh. This, definitely.

https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/model-66

Aside from the fact that I'm a huge fan of classic revolvers, this one's just awesome. Revolvers in my opinion are more flashy and flamboyant than standard pistols, but this one's got the power of a .357 magnum round to back it up, and it's small enough to concealed carry too. A friend of mine owns one of these and it shuts up the whole range when you fire it. For self-defense situations, you've got six rounds, plenty to kill anything that moves.

Also this.

Just... AAA. There are so many things you can do with a shotgun. Deer hunting, squirrel hunting, range shooting, and home defense. And, I guess, you could shoot slugs, if that's your thing (it's not mine). Admittedly the bayonet would probably get in the way a bunch, and I'd probably only put it on for photo shoots, but you really can't improve on a good-looking, reliable pump shotgun.

I’d go even more old school with a single action revolver.

Being real here, I definitely do not want a gun, at all. Even if I find a degree of appeal in revolvers. Might be their accuracy or their reliability, or just the feel. Don't really know. I couldn't trust myself with any kind of gun like that if we're being totally honest. And I'd be constantly anxious about the safety.

Also, statistics REALLY don't help the case for me ever owning a gun, statistics that show that keeping a gun in your home actually makes you MORE at risk for being a victim of gun violence which is quite contrary to the belief of the right and the propaganda spread by the NRA and their tendrils of corruption.

Though if I really did need something to defend myself with, I'd probably get a can or two of pepper spray.

I'm not sure if I would ever actually own a gun (certainly not in this country, as personal possession is illegal), but in terms of having one as a collectors item, I would love to own a Walther WA 2000.

Spoiler

Only 176 of these beauties were ever made due to high production costs and the need for frequent maintenance made it impractical for military use.

It's a bit like the Ferrari of the firearms world. A finely crafted machine of near unrivalled beauty that was simply too expensive to be kept anywhere but behind a glass case. :dash:

Not sure if I would want to own one, but I LOVE shooting lever-action Winchester rifles. Just something satisfying about locking it back before firing. Proper wild west weapon.

I'd love to have a gun that doesn't hurt anyone but instead just makes guns disappear. The world would be a much better place without them.

That doesn't really contribute to the topic.

If you want a gun that doesn't hurt anyone, buy one and keep it stored properly. Maybe out to a shooting range once or twice. That weapon will never hurt anyone.

My Dad has one of those. It's his favorite thing around the house. Me? I can't bear to use it. I try to scoop up bugs and just take them outside.
