Which one of mane six be the best mother to adopt you as a child?

As just generalized mother figure, the best would probably be Applejack. Though, when reading this question I began to wonder if we were this child would we still have the same memories and many of the personality traits that we currently have. Is the only thing that changed besides are age is are mental disposition. If this is true then who I choose would to be a mother figure would probably be completely different as people like Applejack that I know I find often incredibly stifling to be around, and both of us would probably be arguing with each other on a regular basis. My choice then would be either Twilight Sparkle or Rarity, as both of them are similar enough to me that I would not be constantly butting heads with them over the most insignificant issues, yet I can see both them making fine motherly figures, albeit Rarity might not be ready for it yet.

I'm tempted to say Applejack. She's certainly the most level headed...sort of, but at the same time. I actually have experience with farm work and y'know what? I haaaaate it. I would loathe to work on a farm again. True I didn't work on an orchard but I don't even want to go there. I'm sure Applejack wouldn't make a child version of me do grueling manual labor but I still don't think I would be very comfortable.

 

Really, I'd want Rarity for my foster mother. I may not like frilly things as much as she does, but I actually have a pretty big thing for formal wear, and Sweetie belle for an aunt? Come on! Who could resist.

Fluttershy would care for me and always make sure i wasn't hurt. if i was hurt, she would be able to treat me. if i was being bullied, The Stare. Apple Jack would also make a good mother, though. she's kind and loving, always wanting to help out the youngins. she can defend her family rather well. I still pick Fluttershy though.

Fluttershy, no questions asked. She's always been good at taking care of animals, and in Equestria humans are technically considered animals. Plus Fluttershy has always had the closest personality to mine, so it would make the most sense.

I would go with Fluttershy. I wasn't a bad kid and didn't need much discipline, a quick glare would be more than enough to make me behave. We already have fairly similar personalities so I don't think much would be different and it would be a lot of fun to eventually help her look after her animals.

 

She also has a good track record so far in being able to defend herself and her friends, she glared a cockatrice into submission and made a freaking dragon cry!

i was just gonna choose Applejack because she's my favorite, but I didn't even think about how well she treats Apple Bloom and the rest of the CMC, even. Applejack seems to be better in terms of taking care of ponies, but Fluttershy has almost every other animal.

Well, I'd say Flutterhy is the first option, along with Applejack, but I guess that any of the Mane Six could be bothered to learn and properly take care of a child. To be honest, I could see them pooling resources and help one another to learn and raise a child.

I'd probably say Twilight Sparkle because of her already being capable of raising Spike, which is in a similar situation to a human in Ponyville him being a dragon in Equestria and all.

I would pick Fluttershy.  She's definitely the most caring, and is obviously good at taking care of animals and kids.  

 

Twilight would be my second choice, since she's raised Spike since he was an egg.  She seems to be more into her studies than wanting to actually spend time with Spike (besides having him help her with stuff).  

 

I reluctantly have Applejack for my third choice.  She's ok with kids, but she has a lot of negative traits (such as caring more about work than other's safety and feelings, lying about what she's doing, etc).  

 

Rarity comes in 4th, because she just doesn't like having to babysit.  I can't imagine her having to devote her entire life to raising a little one.  But when she needs to, she can take good care of her sister.  

 

Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are tied as last.  Rainbow Dash is nice to Scootaloo, but I can't see her actually taking care of anyone.  She is hardly motherly to her own pet.  Pinkie Pie would genuinely try, but as we've seen already, she has a hard time taking care of kids.

Ok, so as far as who i'd want my mother to be, it would probaly be Fluttershy.

 

I mean shes just so loving and caring and she'd be very comfortable when i'm scared and I go and lay down with her. Atleast i did that with my mom, but i think she'd be more comfortable being so loving and furry.

 

Plus shes so nice.

 

Now, realistically, the issue is that despite how kind she is, i don't think she'd every teach me discipline, i don't even know for she how much she knows about taking care of non animals anyways. She hasn't really even taken care of fillies but once, and its not her talent like animal care.

 

So i dunno, i feel like she wouldn't know the proper way to raise someone like me. She may never even teach me essential stuff because she'd be to unassertive.

 

But i dunno, she could be assertive, she is at times.

Thing is, AJ just seems more experienced, and very motherly still, her and Fluttershy are the two most motherly figures in the show easily to me.

 

Plus AJ raised Applebloom, so i think she has some experience dealing with things fillies deal with, that Fluttershy might not deal with raising animals.

 

Plus, shes still a loving motherly figure, and would still be there for me and my problems, and to care for me, yet still discipline me when it is required. 

 

Plus she also seems more mature and seems like she'd have answers to my questions and concerns and problems with stuff in life.

 

And she'd still be someone I could go lay down with when i wake up scared in the middle of the night, and still be furry and loving...

 

Can I have a pony mother now?

Fluttershy. She would be a parent's dream. Kind, caring, compassionate, and friendly. Plus, she's shy, which means her parents could be there for her when she was down. She'd be my choice, hands down.

Applejack would be the best mother to adopt most children. Stubborn though she may be, she's not an idiot. While lacking higher education of Twilight that would help them succeed in school, the athleticism of Rainbow Dash to help them excel in sports and such, or any of the more interesting or refined qualities the others may have, Applejack could instill a solid set of ethics and a familial bond I don't think any of the others could, and those things are possibly the most important considerations to me.

Fluttershy. She is tender and caring, and has experience taking care of both animals and children (even if it was just a sleep over). The scenario that was set up suggest we are lost and afraid, thus Fluttershy, being kind and empathetic, would be the best to take such a child in. My only worry is that I would grow up being spoiled (parents should say no to their kids more often), but I still see her as the nurturing motherly sort.

 

It takes a village to raise a child, and no matter which pony took me in, they would have the support of their friends. Twilight would offer knowledge, Applejack would offer good sense, Rainbow Dash would be the cool aunt, Pinkie Pie would bring joy and encouragement, and even though Rarity doesn't strike me as a primary care giver, she would likely babysit and make sure Fluttershy had time to herself.

 

I know I'm kinda cheating by bringing in the rest of the Mane 6, but that's how I see it Fluttershy as the adoptive parent, the others as aunts.

For me it would be Pinkie Pie or Applejack. Both of them have traits I would of loved in a mother, but never had.

 

Let's start off with Pinkie Pie first. Pinkie pie would always be able to make me smile even when I was feeling the worst, she could make me smile even when I'm the most frightened. A mother who is always there for her child and always can bring a smile upon my face. I always wished for that in a mother when I was younger and even now.

 

Now, Applejack. As a child and even now I absolutely love apples, so growing up on an apple farm would be absolutely great. Secondly, Applejack would be a great mother because she has such of way of calming me and making me feel like everything will be okay even when panicking. I could imagine her singing lullabies to me in bed after I just had a nightmare, another trait I wish I had in a mother growing up.
