I personally don't view her as my favorite pony, but I can see why a lot of people do. 

 

To be perfectly honest, I know way too many people like her in real life. Big personalities, loud, insisting they're the best to hide deep-rooted insecurity. People like that are hard to deal with in real life because they think they can do anything, and when they fail, they lash out and hurt other people to hide the hurt they're going through themselves.

 

Now, if she was treated this way in the show I think I would like her much more - if the show started to address her issues and give her some real character development I think she'll be a much better character for it. We already got some nice development with Wonderbolt Academy, which was the best RD moment in my opinion; when she clarifies, not only to herself but to the rest of the Mane Six, that her morals are not something to be given up, even to achieve her dream. 

 

So, I hope to see more of her in Season Four, and I hope we get some better moments with her. I'll definitely stick around and make sure they don't use her as just a running gag in the show, popping up and saying "I'm awesome!" every few seconds.

Yes, yes. I know which one you are talking about.

Rainbow Dash is obviously the most superior pony on the show. Try to follow me on this one:

Why is she most superior? Easy. She is simply everyone else. Then how is she superior if she is everyone? Simple. She is the only real one, everyone else is just a character she plays.

Rainbow Dash is so superior that she has the ability to play every other character's parts in the show. What does this exactly mean for the other ponies? Well it simply means each and every pony is in fact "Best Pony" but only one is superior, hence Rainbow Dash.

 

What do I mean "She plays every character" Well, I mean this in about 3 ways. The main one you can view is this:

Being who Rainbow Dash is, she has the ability to basically play mind games with everyone, which in said term means she is playing mind games with herself which only makes her superiority even greater.

No matter how you slice this one, Rainbow Dash wins. Not just in a physical sense, a mental one too. She owns the world. It is simply in her hooves. The only thing that can trump Rainbow Dash is Waylon Jennings and just face it, he's obviously on her side... Even if he is dead.

Dashie has a personality that matches mine sometimes, I'm a tomboy like her too so we can relate in that aspect.

 

Her color scheme is really great, I'm personally glad they didn't go with Firefly's original character design which is what Faust wanted first. She looks cool just the way she is.

 

They should definitely give her some more character development in Season 4, we already got plenty of it from Wonderbolt Academy, her best episode in my opinion, followed by Sonic Rainboom.

 

So I expect to see some more of Dash persuing her dream in Season 4! Bring on the awesome Hasbro!

Rainbow Dash is okay. She's my third favorite mane 6 pony, so she's okay, I suppose. I like her more than Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy.

She's my favorite mane 6 character. I like her enthusiasm, her rainbow colors are eye candy, and it's amusing to see her perform so many tricks like her Sonic Rainboom and soo, aweesumm face .

What else do I like and dislike about her since..

 

I don't think she's done anything remotely annoying (maybe in Rainbow Falls, but she learns about what she's doing by practicing with the Wonderbolts), so I can't say her ego has really hit me hard at all.

 

Do wish she would write more stuff in that journal, if you know what I mean.

Rainbow Dash was actually originally my favorite pony from the show when I first started getting into it.

 

I actually used to be really annoyed with her at very first glance. She just seemed incredibly obnoxious when I saw her for the very first time. I practically hated her. I usually despise arrogance in general. I've seen it in my friends all the time so it really cringed me at first to know that this pony was just like them.

 

But eventually, as I began exploring the fandom a bit more, I came across a fanfic, called "My Little Dashie", and despite how cliche it seemed at parts, I really thought the story was so sweet and heartwarming and as a result, Rainbow Dash became my favorite for quite a while. I gradually grew to like and respect her a lot more.

 

I then discovered her dreams of becoming a Wonderbolt, as well as her huge fear of failure. That really got me to understand her better and realize that is a whole bunch more to her then her outwardly obnoxious demeanor. I can even relate to her in fact. I too have big dreams and I too can get really frightened by the thought of failure.

 

Then I really grew to love her a whole bunch after seeing her perform a sonic rainboom in the series like three times at least...I think.

 

Nonetheless, that just showed how epic she was! 

 

I love her character design, I love her prankster attitude, I love how passionate and determined she is in following her dream and I really like it whenever she shows her strong sense of loyalty. I truly admire that and personally I think loyalty is one of the best aspects to have as a friend.

 

She's my third pony now, but like I just mentioned, she would be #1 if it had to come down to epicness!

Superbly flawed, yet never at the expense of her likability.

True, she is the victim of more than her share of bad episodes, but when the writers hit their mark, they hit it out of the park.

 

Probably the best mane of the show's cast. Just try and prove me wrong.

Oddly well-represented in fanfiction. Similar to the show's writers, when fanfic gets her right, it really gets her right.

Nopony in canon could ever hope to match her character depth, especially after Wonderbolt Academy.

Yes, Rainbow Dash is truly the greatest mare in all of canonical Equestria!

Season 3 really improved her for me.

She used to scream "Insensitive egotistical jerk" and she still has that, but the scene where she takes Scootaloo under her wing was so touching and unlike anything I've seen of her. Then there's the scene in Wonderbolts Academy. You all know the one. That takes constitution to throw away everything you dreamed of.

I only kinda liked her in 'Hurricane Fluttershy' and 'Games Ponies Play'.

She always seems to go through the same lessons in each of her episodes, which is pretty much "Don't be cocky" (Apart from 'Sonic Rainboom').

Speaking of which, is Rainbow Dash the only Pony in all of Equestria that's able to do a Sonic Rainboom? It appears to come out of her mane, which is rainbow coloured, and the only other Pony with a rainbow mane was her father in that flashback.

With that said, if she IS the only Pony who is able to do a Sonic Rainboom (which she achieved while saving both Rarity AND the Wonderbolts), how come she wasn't immediately allowed into the Wonderbolts?
She also seemed to spend a lot of the time in the first 2 seasons trying to get noticed by the Wonderbolts so she could join them.. However in the end, all she did was sign up for it and got in? Seems pretty easy considering all of the other pegasi in 'Wonderbolts Academy' seemed to be pretty average flyers.

 

I don't know, it's just small details like that which really irritate me about Rainbow Dash's character.

That and her sheer arrogance, and constant use of the word 'Awesome' really gets on my nerves, so yeah.

Do you like her personality? Yes, I do. I don't like bullies at all, and there have been a few comments about her being slightly similar to a bully in the Halloween episode, but I just don't see it.

Seriously she's cute and awesome, not perfect but it's actually good. Perfect characters are boring.Dashie is my second favorite pony. Rainbow has her own stuff's, independed character, I like it. And her character is a very similar with my character.
