They look crazy awesome. The obvious direction they could have taken them is just smaller versions of ponies with butterfly wings, but these are even better. They look like little bugs that have a resemblance to ponies, and they're just so tiny!

 

So yeah, breezies.

They look better than G3, that's for sure.

 

But, I'm not super into them like others are.  I am glad that they didn't just slap butterfly wings on a pony and call it a day.  The long, lanky legs and flowing manes give them a unique look.

Nah, I bet they're going to take advantage of her kind nature. She'll run off and cry and as she does, her eyes go all rainbow. She'll learn a lesson about how although its good to be kind, you cant be kind all the time. She'll teach the breezies this, and they'll apologize, giving her a flower or something that shines rainbow. Ta-da! Key! The end of the episode is all the mane 6 (+ sick Discord) waiting for her at the train station.

One episode isn't enough time to tell how good a writer is...at least not if Corey Powell's track record is anything to go by.

 

With that being said I was skeptical about their designs, because I didn't want them to look like your average ponies, but smaller, with antennae and butterfly-like wings. The designs seem to show that the staff went with more of an insect focused approach while retaining a bit of a resemblance to ponies, which I love. I think the designs look fanastic, and here's hoping that they'll look just as good in motion!

Now as long as they don't speak, everything will be perfect. XD

The body proportions are kinda... meh. Wings, manes, tails and antennas are rather big in comparision to the rest of their bodies. Thin stick-legs. And those eyelashes... Hmmm... Overall not that appealing to me as designs. But also not necessarily bad. Watch out for new OCs! And I hope the breezies as characters will be well written. Given the synopsis of the episode... Nah! Who knows?

I'm actually thinking they WON'T, since they're apparently a rare species with a conservation organization helping to take care of them. If they speak then that means they're a fully sapient race that can communicate with others. Even if they are rare, wouldn't you feel a bit weird as a sapient race, having another species take it upon themselves to ensure your conservation?

 

Though they do appear to be capable of tool use, as seen by their little baskets and that one that seems to be wearing clothes. I'll bet the baskets are used to carry pollen.

Yeah, Nat's last outing was good, but now she's writing Fluttershy.  Fluttershy is very easy to screw up, even for a talented writer.
