I love all the mane 6, it's hard to choose a favorite. I think Twilight, if I had to pick one is my choice.

Twilight for me, as her personality often matches me in so many ways (see my introduction thread ). As one can easily see, my favorite secondary pony is Trixie. There is something intrinsically mysterious and attractive about her, as long as you can see through the thinly veiled attempt at feeling wanted and loved. I hope in the next season they develop her further, I could see her changing her tune and becoming a good friend to the Mane6, similar to how Sunset Shimmer turned around in the movies.

Same here, except that both her and I have been able to develop social skills over time. I sincerely hope you have/will join society in a major way, and maybe even be a motivating voice to help others. (Ya know, just like Twilight )

Well, I really like Pinkie Pie. She's just so energetic, optimistic and amazingly random. I really like her style of humor. And she has a bunch of funny songs.

My favorite pony overall is Luna. I relate with her in difficulty adapting in social situations and her isolation on the moon connects with my feelings of loneliness. Her personality is playful once she's opened up a bit and she's stern when she's serious. Her archaic language is very interesting and she sounds so beautiful when she speakest-I mean, speaks it. Lastly, she's incredibly gorgeous for a pony, her long ever-flowing mane and tail with big eyes. I also find it cute when she opens her mouth a little bit in certain scenes.

Of the Mane 6, Twilight is my favourite. She loves logic, and this really appeals to me.

 

Princess Celestia & Luna are my favourite secondary characters. I find Celestia a little boring in the show, but I love the way her character is developed in the IDW comic series (I know this is about the show, but still). In the comics, she is a real pony of the people and a wise and gracious leader as always, but some of her emotional vulnerabilities become evident, making her much more relatable.

 

Luna's my all-time favourite. She's quirky, a little uptight, sweet, and almost completely out of touch with day-to-day happenings in Equestria. Love her.

I had a change of heart this morning, Fluttershy is my fav now (with Twilight still a very close 2nd) due to a dream I had that classifies as "Best dream EVER!"

My favourite pony is Luna. The reasons are many, but to sum it I'll just share the primary ones:

 

1- She has the responsability of preparing the night sky and rising the Moon. I love stargazing, and the feel of insignificance the star filled sky delivers.

 

2- She was banished to the Moon for a thousand goddamn years. When I heard that my brain just started to ponder about what she did, what she saw and what she felt.

 

3_ Her design is perfect in my personal opinion. Not a rip-off of her sister, but still very regal looking.

 

4_ She shows a big amount of wisdom, albeit a hint of innocence (Luna Eclipsed for example). This showing that she isn't just a ruler, an embodiment of divinity itself, she's also a pony like any other.

As for my for my favorite pony from MLP:FiM, my favorite is Princess Cadance, because I love her background character and gained a strong emotional bond to her. I actually don't have a favorite from the Mane 6.

Favorite Mane six pony is a tie between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. I just see a lot of myself in these two. Seriously the chair bit in Testing Testing 1,2,3 was something I would totally do.

 

Favorite Princess is Princess Luna. The way she helps ponys in their sleep and the way her character is done just appeals to me.

 

Background pony favorite would have to go to Vinyl Scratch. She just seems fun.
