Why do Bronies like to Ponify everything?

I would say thats good question to ask, like why do like to ponyify things? Franchises, games, and people and characters from moives, books and real life? And also why do so enjoy it. Like for exmple i play my TF2 moded with Pony Mods. And I am having bit more fun cause of it. Is strangs how multi colored horses can spice up thing a notch.

And i even going out my away. Doing crossover ones in while and even edit some, easy to edit 2D games with putting in custom art assets.

What do you think?

Because ponies make everything better cx Nah, the real reason is probably just because we really like the art style and pony terms. It makes no sense to use pony terms with humans, so we make them ponies for an easier experience c:

This is on the spot speculations of course, but it's my poke at it. I'll say it's because we like ponies and like to show our love for them in nearly every form of media. To some people's dismay sadly. But they are just barking at the fence rather than ignoring it :S

Ponies make everything awesome, period.

Also, probably, at least in part, the human condition. We want to exercise our control over things, makes us feel more in control of our lives.
But mostly the ponies thing.

why you ask? because ponies thats why

dunno really I like it because I think it adds a whole new feeling to the thing your ponifying the more popular ones you might have seen Fallout Equestria (I think this has to be the most popular ponifyed one since there are fan fics, and RPs of it everywhere), and Team Fortress 2 Teamwork is Magic (basically TF2 but most of the Mercenaries are Bronies some are even Anti Bronies it just depends on the creator),

but what said was pretty spot on

People probably do it so often now, because instead of making a genuinely clever crossover parody, it became more about giving themselves a feeling of "Hey look! We like so-and-so, and MLP at the same time! That proves we have good taste, right?"

I think it's just a facet of human nature.  I know for a fact that it's not just Bronies that do this.  From the late 1960s to the mid 1980s, I was a Trekie.  A friend of mine had a father named James.  He got so tired of that show.  At his house at dinner it was "Pass the salt"  "It's dead, Jim" etc.  + Every time he asked my friend to do something it was "I'm a doctor not an X",  every opinion it was "That seems most illogical" or "Fascinating" + all the "Beam me up, Scotty"  All of us did it everywhere (No cosplay, though.  We would have, I'm sure, but in those days that stuff just wasn't available in small towns)

I'm sure the fact that he didn't murder one of us was because he was a minister

Well, just to be surrounded of your favorite colorful ponies.

People just love ponies, so, they want to have it around them. I don't have to ponify everything, sure, if there is a cool reskin for tf2 i'll use it, but what i need is more something like a ponified internet, y'know like, deviantArt, ponyvillelive, this forum etc...

I would say it's because we're fans of ponies and the show.

An example would LittleBigPlanet. There are sackboy costumes for Ratchet and Clank, ICO, Jak and Daxter, Infamous and more.

Fans of any of those franchises would choose any of those costumes to play with.

MLP fans have made costumes for Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle in the LBP community, it's the same philosophy with any other game.

That's my opinion on it.

I think it helps that Brony/Pegasister(if you prefer) people come from all types of life, so some might make music and some might make mods for a game, or plushies, art, costumes, ect... It's just fun to make everything 20% cooler.  B)

Indeed, myself for exmple have love for allot of other franchises. Here to name a few, warhammer 40k, fallout, warcraft and team fortress 2.

But MLP is one feel strongest for, at this moment of my life.  ^_^

Before Ponies I used to imagine actors and actresses as being the characters and historical figures in my books for school. I think it helps us relate better to the material we ponify. Can you imagine learning History with Ponies though awesome!

The one thing thing that does bother me about ponification is that if certain bronies like to use the skin color of a human character.  I saw ponified versions of the main three GTAV characters with their fur skin colored.  It's like they're shaved bald or something.

Ugh. I hate it when they do that. Just use a color they seem to wear often or something.

But yeah I gotta go with the human nature reason. Wish it would slow down a bit though.

Well, the exact reason would vary from person-to-person. For a lot, it's as simple as "because it's fun." In truth, you probably don't need a deeper explanation.

As for me...it does go a little deeper, and it's because I just happen to identify with FiM and other franchises.

I like Persona 4, and I love the Uncharted series. I don't identify with Persona 4 THAT much (playing through the Vita version), but Uncharted is another story. As such, someone like me tends to envision our favorite characters as ponies.

In truth, I also love to see artist interpretations of stuff like that.

In the end, that might not have been as deep as I lead you onto believe, but it is what it is. :)
