  1. Jar Jar Binks. It's like this character ruined a whole generation on the spot and destroyed childhood for another generation. And since it's Disney now, I'm sure he'll re-appear again sometime. What bugs me is also that I, in all those years, could not determine whether he's supposed to be comic relief that ended up being annoying or was supposed to be annoying from the start.
  2. I really don't know, I would say at least 5 and then depending on the popularity at that point, but what I really hope for is a decent and nice end that makes sense, I really hate when I like a show and then they suddenly go "And the next episode will air on Friday and here's the trailer... actually no, we just now decided to cancel the show, bye.". And when this kind of stuff happens, it makes me angry, because it usually is about the show itself, it's about some struggles behind the scenes, involving people who often don't even have anything to do with the show. As for what I mean, for example what happened with Clone Wars (the animated series), season 6 announced, dates set, trailers out and then suddenly "Show cancelled." Reason: Disney bought the franchise and doesn't want it to air on any other channel than the Disney channel, but the show was already set to air on CN so Disney got it cancelled. And stuff like that may happen anywhere, one company buys or sells a trademarked name or even simple stupid stuff like directors of two involved companies having an argument about unrelated stuff and then cancelling the show as a revenge of sorts... You never know.
  3. The Penetrator from Saint's Row because it's ... oh, wait, you can actually buy that. Never you mind. I'm inclined to say lightsaber, but I'm afraid it would just mean I would have no limbs left in a few moments. Other than that, I'd go with nanoaugmentations from Deus Ex, if you can call that a weapon.
  4. Yes, way too often. Everyone always thinks I'm a female in the internet and in games, even tho I'm not sure why. Maybe it's my obsession with looks and talking in full sentences. Who knows. IRL, nope. How should I put it... I do look considerably... manly? If you look at me and you think "That's a girl for sure..." then you, my friend, are into some weird shit.
  5. I sure love it, has it's flaws, but overall I just love it. Tho I have to admit I like various novels and stuff connected to the Old Republic way more than anything with direct touch from Lucas. But yeah, I see it going bad and fast. Lucas is kind of a freak and after starting the franchise, all he did was damage it over the time and Disney, well, I think it's not good at all. I don't trust them to make anything good with the franchise and they pretty much lost me when they canceled Clone Wars (which I really love for some reason) simply because it has been contracted to CN and they refuse to produce anything that won't be aired on their TV channel. Dismantling some of the iconic studios tied to SW didn't really give them any points with me either.
  6. I'm all about looks. My motto is "It doesn't matter how good you ARE, what matters is how good you LOOK.". On a serious note, I do care about how I look a lot, but not because I care about what others think about me. I care about how I look because I want to like myself. If I was fat, smelly, messy and dirty, I couldn't stand myself, so I try to be neat, clean, shiny and slim and with clothes I like. Sounds bad or weird? Well, bite me or better yet, bite you.
  7. Oh come on, humans as a race didn't even get over that fact we come in different colors and shapes in the last 10'000 years. What do you think would happen if another race appeared? Either humans would kill it , get killed by it or kill themselves fighting over what to do with the newcommers. Such are humans. PS: You don't have to get married to have babies. Trololo.
  8. Books, drawing, PS Vita, anime, cooking, random sports... is what comes to mind right now. Admittedly, I'm doing most of that in a room with running computer anyway, heh. I'm not calling my work, sleep or relationships a hobby, so I'm not including such things
  9. I would say that trying to say something about "the gamers" as a group is about the same as comment on "the people who read books" or "people who like the color blue" - it doesn't really work, because you can't band those people together like that. It's a very colorful group with people from all around the world, from 5-105 years old, from poor to rich, from geniuses to complete imbeciles... If anything you could call out fanbases for certain games, but even that is pushing it, as an example, you could look at CoD fanbase. As an outsider it's easy to assume it's a group of raging adolescent boys with under-average intelligence ... But is it really? I doubt that. Idiots in gaming just tend to be a bit loud, because who plays a lot of games usually has access to internet and can yell there, where for example bookreader idiots may not be very skilled in that area so they might have a problem spreading their shouting everywhere. But yeah, the gaming industry consumer base is still pretty young compared to many other industries, so that is a factor too. But it's getting better.

    gaming 2DS Thoughts?

Sorry if anyone mentioned this before, didn't read the whole thing. Well, 2DS, it's quite simple, it's meant for kids. The sturdy design (as such high durability), low price, lack of features... It's uglier, simpler and more durable version of the console, which can be good for anyone, but I would really say it's meant very clearly for children, nothing more, nothing less. I mean 3DS is broken quite easily, has 3D (which has bad effects on developing brain) and is quite expensive - yet at least half of the games it has are meant for children, so cheaper and durable version makes sense I'd say.
  11. I usually enjoy single the most, of course it comes down to the game, and seeing how I play mostly the single player for the stories and mechanics, I don't and never will like CoD-type games and generally love RPGs. When it comes down to Co-op, I usually don't do that much, because I don't have people to play with. Most of my friends don't really buy games, yarr, yarr, and that type of multiplayer doesn'really work. With random people, co-op usually ends up in being annoying, as (in my experience anyway) people often screw up the game or, in fact, join with the intention of screwing up the game. And then, MMO(RPG) I guess I should mention that, since the amount of time I spent in those is quite astounding. I usually play PvE and often solo as much as I can, and PvP, I really like it in GW1 and even was pretty good at it, but I don't particularly love it in other games to be honest. I guess it is because I'm tactics & statistics guy and that was GW1, making builds for the whole alliance, planning teams with great synergy, that was my field and GW1 offered thousands upon thousands of combinations and possibilities in that respect, which is why I loved it... But can't say I enjoyed PvP very much in any other MMO.
  12. You can have that right now. Turns people into ponies and people into horses! Oh dear, that image always make me hysterical, sorry, had to use it. On a serious note, there is large amount of ponification Skyrim mods. I mean normal ones. Just have to dig deeper than Steam Workshop.
  13. Sims 3. Or better yet, Persona. That would be amazing. It just doesn't fit in games with shooting and a lot of fighting for me. On the other hand, generic-type MMORPG ponified could be fun.
  14. I do have a brony girlfriend (noone likes the mouthful pegasister term). In a manner of speaking, we met thanks to MLP, not trough MLP, just thanks to it. Wasn't even watching it at that time. Doesn it matter tho? I wouldn't say so, but it's always nice if both people like (some) similar things from the start, especially if it comes to some of those often "misunderstood" things like MLP, games or anime. Explaining some of those to a partner or even a friend can be quite an... ordeal (but also can reveal a lot about the personality of your "beloved").
  15. Not number one, no. MLP has a very specific role for me, which is relaxation and fun, but if I were to name something as number one, it would probably be something "deeper and darker" so to say. I'm not sure I know what my number one is, but I'm thinking it could be Monster (the anime) or Code Geass perhaps. Never really gave it much thought. And, well, MLP is amazing for the community around too, but that isn't the show per se.
  16. Well, in that case, the most gimmicky game in history has to be Saint's Row IV, as someone already noted. The game is packed with gimmicks like that and is very "In yo face, dawg!" about it... Strangely enough it works and creates very unique and amazingly enjoyable experience.
  17. I don't know. Brony / Pegasister refers to one liking the show. Villains or "not-evil-but-still-antagonists" in the show are part of the show just as the main protagonists. It's kinda like saying "gamer" refers to a person who plays games AND likes the good heroes only. I know, I know, I'm being mean, especially after the poem, it's just that ... labels. We need labels, many of them for one thing. And then we need to relabel it all again. Then some more. It gets bad, especially if you think about why people even do such a thing. Then again, since you are a villain, I guess that was to be expected.
  18. You really should say what exactly is a gimmick by your definition and maybe an example or two, because, from your post I would understand it as a mechanic taken from another game in which case I would be forced to say that pretty much every game in last 20 years if a gimmick in itself. I'm not trying to act stupid, it's just that someone would say gimmick is a bad thing, stupid but fun thing, stealing of ideas, broken thing, out of place mechanic, a reference ... Well, you get the idea.
  19. Generally, I'd say stable - I'm all about statistics and tactics in MMOs (it's serious stuff!) and I like to have a good idea about what exactly is my next hit going to do. Now, that could be with burst too, but that generally tries to sneak in critical strikes and another similar RNG rolls and I'm trying to avoid that. I mean, hey, it can't be really simplified into 2 groups. You have heavy damage with long cast/cd, you have extreme and fast damage hit'n'run glass cannons, you have DoT builds that essentially guarantee kill once you shoot it all on someone, you have characters that can kill other in 2 seconds but rely on scoring critical strikes... So my category would be the one that limits the number of RNG as much as possible, which I guess would be stable... maybe. Then again, if the question is "dagger that hits 12 times / 10s for 50 OR greatsword that hits 3 times / 10s for 200" then I don't know, one prolly should change depending on the context, yes?
  20. Well, every company is after money, but not every company is so obvious and oblivious about it as EA. Personally, I'm not fan of the "Buy company, use their franchise and then either absorb them / disband them" tactics. I'd just like to note EA is first and foremost a titan of publishing, rather than a development house. People seem to forget that one quite often. Tho what bugs me the most is their, I don't know what should I call it - Lack of communication? Invalid reasoning? You know, region X has higher piracy rate and lower average income than US, so EA decides to lower the price of games in the region...- Just joking. Of course EA decides to make the games in region X more expensive than in US to compensate for the piracy, which just doesn't make sense for obvious reasons. Well, at least I think it is obvious. Problem is that other publishers look at it and follow the trend quite often, which is very destructive to some markets. Well, that's just a little example, but in short - they go after money and don't care how many studios will die and how many loyal customer bases will be cracked, they tend to rush developers too much, they lie a bit more than they should and they have very devastating effects on markets in many regions. Tho they are not this evil corporation many people imagine.
  21. It's really fun, simpler and faster than most MOBAs, also "generally" without the drama. I really liked it but... ... In the same day I bought it I already got thrown into the 2nd League after a couple of games. What? Why? It's kinda hard to have fun in the 3-1st league because everyone is "pro" and very serious there. ...I can't run the game recently, at all. After one of the patches, everytime I try to run it I get a black screen that persists until the computer is restarted, which is mind-boggling.
  22. Well, right or wrong... If the Fighting is Magic people made it and Hasbro simply took it and uses it, it may seem wrong, but on the other hand they legally own everything related to the IP so it's right. I would just say it's awkward if they used one drawn by the Fighting team (especially considering the circumstances), seeing how they must have dozens made by their own people.
  23. The -nerdish- friend We first met in high school about 10 years ago when I transfered into already established class. Thinking about it, I'm not sure why we actually started talking, especially considering how unfriendly and cynical I can be. He's very intelligent, shy around new people, slightly crazy aroun the people he knows, has interests in rather unusual fields, loves books, philosophy, games, anime and fantasy. Well, to keep it short, ever since the first day and continuing today, we can just talk for hours and hours about anything, from our lives trough religion and politics to smalltalk about anime and games without ever getting tired or bored. And I thing that is great and rare. Also one of the unique things about him... through all the years, we never had any kind or argument. We disagree on great many things, but we are always able to debate it out in such a way that we are still able to respect each others opinions at the end. He commented on me and MLP with "Unsurprising" which is still haunting me in a weird way. The girl-friend I have to know this nice, clever girl for 15 years and I just can't figure whether I love her for at least 10. She can't either. We were trough all kinds of shit together, from death of close people to living together when neither of us could afford to pay for apartment alone and I know I would jump a bullet for her and she would for me, yet still I can't figure whether she is a sister I never had or someone I should -be- with... But I guess that's what good friendship is too. Troubling. Friend from childhood I feel sorry for as I grow older... I used to have this friend when I was 5-6 until I was about 8-9, at that time, I didn't see anything wrong, but recently I was thinking about it, and realized it was really a sad person and relationship. He was so submissive and not very clever, in fact I think he simply just needed someone he can hang out with or rather hang "around" so he didn't have to think about what to do next. If I said "Jump" he didn't even bother with the "How high?" part and simply started jumping around. And I'm ashamed to say I probably let him to hand around me because it was fun to have a human pet and games on the original Playstation needed a second player. But I'd like to think it was kind of a fun for everyone. It's one of those things that make me go "Oh boy..." when I think about it nowdays, almost 20 years later. I really wonder where he ended up, but I have a bad feeling it's not anywhere nice. Well, I'm not sure anyone cares, but it's fun to think about people around me, so take it or leave it, hehe.
  24. Yeah, it would be great if it got a GOOD sequel. It's one of those movies I really love from my childhood, even tho I don't think it was that amazing, but can't help but love it. Kinda like Robocop. And "You betrayed the LAWL!" is something that can shape a person!
  25. Alcohol isn't the problem, people who use it in the wrong way have a problem tho. It's so easy to blame alcohol (or any other substance, hobby, etc.), but that is just not "it". People can abuse or get addicted to to pretty much anything, but it's the people who are the problem, even tho many don't like to hear that. Personally, I like alcohol. Good mood-lifter, good for relaxation... But I never was a fan nor understood why someone needs to drink so much of it that they will throw up and/or lose control of themselves and/or forget what they did the "last night". But whatever gives you the kicks I guess. Edit: Bonus: I don't see a problem with underage teens drinking... a little bit. A beer or two and not on daily basis is not really that bad, damaging or anything else - on the other hand, kids who are drunk per se and often, that is bad, mostly because it's way more damaging for them than to adults, that is a medical fact. Alcohol is not heathy very much, times 10 for body and brain that is still developing.
