  1. Well, away from the wicked hellbeasts moths...I got my second storage cube set up (actually did that a while ago but didn't have pictures): I am a mature, responsible adult.
  2. Eggs long predate chickens. That having been said, the premature ejaculater came first.
  3. Although I didn't see it until 2014, Frozen is also definitely my pick for best 2013 movie. Although, I never got around to seeing Thor or The Hobbit, both of which I expect I'll really like but I also expect I won't like them as much as I liked Frozen.
  4. 400 Brohoofs! Woo!

      Keep it up.

  5. Actually I do have something kind of adult-ish to brag about: I've been looking for 'storage cubes' for a long time but I had no idea what they were called or where to buy them. These things: I'm seriously lacking in shelving space and these seemed like the most convenient solution. I finally clued in to check Canadian Tire and, sure enough, they were there. So I got one, and promptly filled it with toys, games and cartoons: Gonna go grab another one today and use it for all my Transformers stuff. In your end-o.
  6. I'm in a weird place with Super Smash Bros. where I'm generally superior to any casual player but I also can't make any headway when playing competitively. So there's that. Most shooters in general I'm pretty terrible at. I don't invest much in the genre but the times in high school when I would get together with friends and play Halo 2 were a blast anyway. A Link Between Worlds might qualify too. I died at least once to almost every boss playing through that game. And I did actually get stumped on one really easy puzzle.
  7. Is purdy. So, uh, what do we do now? We need to talk about 20+ things, which basically means we need to talk as usual but we can't let the little ones know.
  8. If I had to guess, they're trying to force me into permanent fetal position.
  9. I love me some crummy microwaveable foods. Hot Pockets are tasty but I haven't had any in a while. Ham and Cheese ones are good. There's another brand called 'Hot Stuffs' which I had quite a bit of in High School; they have a cheeseburger kind which is straight-up nasty quite frankly. I've avoided 'pocket' style snacks like that because I used to love Pizza Pops (same premise as Hot Pockets, but the pocket is doughier and the filling is entirely stuff you'd get on a pizza) but at some point a couple years back they must have started making them differently because they suddenly tasted like mould.
  10. Sure, why not? I'm 24, I'm an animator, my favourite pony is Fluttershy, and I have a phobia of moths... Additionally, I am an avid gamer.
  11. I love you Super Best Friends Play. Anyway: -Modern pop artists get too much hate. I don't like them at all but when I discovered a song I had heard several times before thanks to radio was One Direction, I had a reaction of, 'really? That's what people are so up in arms about?'. -JonTron's better on his own than on Game Grumps.
  12. Agreed. Although ParaNorman came out the same year and was far better than both of them.
  13. Currently I'm working as an Effects Builder for the show Rick and Morty.
  14. I have a friend who misuses 'animation' just to get on my nerves. Most recently when looking at comics at Chapters, he said something to the effect of, "I like the animation in this one."
  15. This is (obviously) true. This, in my experience, is not true. I haven't used Flash since college (and I dread the likely inevitable day when I do have to use it again) so maybe recent iterations haven't been as blatantly flawed, but when I go to rotate a joint, and suddenly a completely unrelated element gets flood-filled a different colour which can't be Undo'd away...that's pretty buggy. And that wasn't an isolated incident, and I wasn't alone in encountering similar completely nonsensical errors (class and teacher included). What I'm getting at is when Flash does stuff like that, that's not the animator's fault. That's a glitch in the program and one that's very possible to go unnoticed when working with hundreds of elements. EDIT: Maybe I wasn't totally clear initially; I was never trying to say that all of the animation errors in the show were Flash's fault (that'd be absurd), but certain things (like say 3-legged Cheerilee or blue-single-feather-wing Fluttershy) would not surprise me if they were.
  16. Squash and stretch, overlapping action, secondary action, smears, slow-ins/slow-outs; these are all principles/techniques of animation that are not only followed in the show but usually done so with clear expertise. And yes, there are tons of errors, (most often with certain body parts disappearing which Flash is extremely prone to) but that fact doesn't change how skillfully done the actual movement is. That also doesn't change the fact that those same principles are rarely (or in many modern shows' cases, never) followed by a lot of of current TV animation. Your own opinion of the show's aesthetic is just that, an opinion; you can love it, be lukewarm to it or hate it, and you wouldn't be wrong. But saying the show's animation is very well done, well thought out, and among the best animation currently on TV is a statement of fact. Far as I know, the show is still done with Flash which, as said, is prone to creating errors through no fault of the animator. If it was possible for them to switch over to Harmony with no hiccups (which it almost certainly is not for various reasons), the amount of those kinds errors would probably dwindle considerably. All that having been said, there are several moments in the show which I've looked at and immediately had thoughts of how they could have been animated better. EDIT: And I did notice they were really trying to step their game up with the composition in the season 4 premier, which is cool. They're getting a lot of use out of rim lighting and rack focuses for sure.
  17. I just wanna say that the premier was superb. I think this is the best the show has been (maybe not better than its earlier bests, but at least on par). A satisfying relief after season 3 and Equestria Girls; which I didn't dislike really, but do think were low points relatively speaking.
  18. Yeah. Don't think I need to say any more than that. Also, some moments from Fullmetal Alchemist/Brotherhood...
  19. There's technically a 3D 'camera' in digital animation, in which all the layers are laid out. And every piece of the character counts as a layer, so here they just have those pieces of her hair out of order. It's actually a pretty easy mistake to make because pieces will often have to go around each other meaning they need to be brought in front of other layers only to be put behind them later. I forgot about this one. I have a hard time imagining this mistake actually being made. I think either somebody was screwing around, or Flash really glitched hard on this one (something I wouldn't put passed Flash).
  20. When I was really little I wanted to be a fireman. Then when I turned 8, I decided I wanted to be a cartoonist/animator. Kids and their silly dreams, right?
  21. A few years back, one day I microwaved a leftover burger and as I bit into it I noticed several tiny brown ants both on the burger and all around the plate. I'm still perplexed by exactly when they got on the burger. And how exactly they survived being through the microwave. Thankfully I'm not squeamish and I know eating bugs isn't exactly the end of the world (not even unhealthy in a lot of cases). But I did toss the burger when I noticed.
  22. It's really not an error but people say there's a mistake because her eye in the mirror is closed while the eye on her is open. Thing is, it's a different eye in each case. So, while it's a little strange maybe that they did it that way, there's really no reason to consider it an error. Could've easily been a conscious decision to make her look more "sinister" or something.
  23. Where I grew up, Middle School and High School were the same thing (aptly titled High School), so it was 4 years with no specified 'freshmen' and 'senior' year. But my first day of high school, all the same, went relatively well. I met a few people who I became at least friendly acquaintances with and still keep in (very sporadic) touch with. About the only thing I did "wrong" was misinterpret the bells and head to one of my classes way too early. And I was almost late for my science class because it took me just about to the last minute to find the room. First day of college was pretty cool. Just great settling into an environment specifically tailored to the things that I wanted to learn, with classmates and professors all with a lot of common interests. I made friends with a couple of the second years before I even said a word to anybody in my own year.
  24. Thanks for the Birthday wishes. I 24 today!

  25. I approve of this. Seriously, I think this is actually really cool. Good on Toys R Us. Speaking of which, I might take a trip there tomorrow...for my, uh, kids...that I...don't have. Yeah.
