  1. I see. Have you tried a compilation? I am assuming you have general ideas about how the story starts, goes about, and ends, but just... blah. If you provide framework, having somepony else go over it with some razzle dazzle might be fun for both of you. I have been told that I have a tendency to go into too much detail if I'm not careful, so toning it down is a bigger issue for me. Do you have the story posted anywhere so I could take a look? Or even email it to me.FiMfiction.net also has a group of proofreaders and prereaders, any of which would be happy to help you out.
  2. I think "It's a Dangerous Business, Walking Out Your Door" or something like that is really well known. I haven't read it all yet, but I got in a little ways and liked it.
  3. YOU ARE CHOSEN 1.

    1. TomokoKuroki

      TomokoKuroki

This made me think of Pokemon 2000.

  4. My wanna be Ponysona is my avatar, feel free to make her famous! Here is a bigger picture: Do you need her code or a different pose or anything? Cutie mark is a ball of yarn, by the way.
  5. Um... what do you mean by crap? You don't like the plot structure (no pun), you don't have grammar down pat? What's up? Maybe post a paragraph and let us have a look-see. :3
  6. I basically agree. I just didn't let it bother me with the abruptness because I watch One Piece and am not a good judge of such things. One Piece can turn a literal 15 minute fight scene into months of 22 minute episodes. XD I thought it was a bit rushed though, in anycase, though I did like the way it wrapped up. Also, watching it a second time I think I appreciated it more, both in good structuring ("love love love") and in my analysis of the flaws. Anyway, I did like it oh so much. But this morning I realized... SEASON 3 ISN'T HERE YET. WAT DO. I was in the car with my mom and a commercial for the wedding came on over the radio, and she turned it up in time for me to hear that this lady was gonna be hosting. I said that I didn't recognize her, but probably would once I started watching. STILL NO CLUE. I don't mean anything rude by this but who the buck is she? Does she always act this... way, or is it because it's a kids show? Not just in MLP, but I hate slack-off acting in kids shows. *sigh of a pirate* However, the Fluttershy part made me laugh.
  7. I would help Fluttershy take care of her animals. That would be heavenly.
  8. Understandable, but this depends on the individual community of each school. My school has hatahs just like anyplace, but almost ever single person at the school is so freakin' out there no one really gives a crap. XD
  9. I for one am an avid lover of musical universes, so there will never be too much singing for me. However, if there was a song in every episode, I think I would get annoyed and bored because of the predictability. I prefer two kinds of song in MLP: special treat for a special occasion, and Pinkie Pie because Pinkie Pie. X3 I think that was the point of this one here. XD A nonbrony friend watching this said 30 seconds in (asking about Pinkie Pie) "Is she on drugs?" LOL The only song I used to HATE HATE HATE was the intro. But I got over it. Now I just don't give a flying feather. I sing it at school... at work... come to think of it, something seems odd here. JK
  10. I liked the shows you mentioned (the ones of them I saw, anyway) but I think you are missing some things. There is a certain (geez, somepony is going to take this word the wrong way) exploitability in the show that many other shows lack, something about the expressiveness and True to Life expressions of the characters maybe. And another thing. This show has FAR fewer disturbing elements than some of those other ones. I LOVED Courage as kid and I don't mind watching it if it ever comes on TV (don't get Boomerang) but CREEPY SAUCE. XD Just knowing my personality, if I had happened to find the show without knowing this fanbase existed, I would have watched it anyway. Having other bronies to hang and chat with certainly makes being a brony more fun than it would be alone though. Also, though we're all sick of hearing this line, the art is very... soothing? The smoothness of the animation lowers my blood pressure or something. Or maybe it's all the colors. SO. MANY. COLORS. Obviously, it lacks some things, because nothing has everything, but I think that would fall more under difference of opinion in what one enjoys in a show, rather than it simply is lacking because it doesn't have them. It has a large following because many people like many of the same things about the show. Unlike some things, it is SO varied, that many different types of people can "mix'n'match" things they like from it, and we all come together as fans. And perhaps just because ponies could be a reason. Agreeing with you on that point in a way, though any talking animal probably would have suited me fine. If they were humans I probably would have been bored, and it would have not been able to have some of the things it has now. Also, part of what makes it big is that it is a created Universe, not just characters, not just lessons, it has Equestria and we can let our imaginations gallop over the entire country or continent or whatever the flip it is. And we are given things within Equestria that pique our curiosity and leave space for us to speculate, Everfree and Canterlot and a six-second DJ. In a way, the lack of ultra-structured planning is conducive to the uniqueness of the show. Anyway. I don't think I could ever call it "just a great cartoon." It's definitely the only thing I find worth putting forth large amounts of effort to find in American television right now. And I watch it online. XD So. That's my two bits. EDIT: Not that there are not people who join just be be one with the herd. I completely understand how that would float some's boat.
  11. Oh boy, here's a fun update. I went to visit my college yesterday and we were at a student only panel, asking attendees questions about student life and such. I raised my hand and asked how hard it was to start clubs. They said not very hard, and asked what kind of group it was and I said My Little Pony. Then this girl behind me said that there was a group in the area (Cental Texas Bronies or something) already and that I should see if there were people in the college who were already part of it. I was like "Oh, okay cool." Then I had to leave and as I was walking out one of the students on the panel raised his hand and went "Uh, I have a question for the audience. What's a "brony?" I was like OOOOOOHHHHHH! I had to leave while the girl explained, but I wish I could have been there. ;-;
  12. Fleece interior and cotton exterior work good for that kind of thing.
  13. I've never called anything "sexy" in my life, so I wouldn't say so. I'm asexual. But while I would say that ponies are PLATONICALLY attractive, I wouldn't consider them... err... objects of affection. Humanized ones I could maybe see flying, but like I said I don't really go for anything.
  14. My mom is still a little perplexed. I never bothered hiding it from her, but I was watching my Friendship Express DVD the other day and she was wandering around behind me watching it trying to figure out what it is I like. The other day I was at my dad's house (parents are divorced) and I said "Hey I got into this new show, it's made by the same lady who made the Powerpuff Girls. This one is My Little Pony. I brought the DVD if you want to see it." He laughed at me a little because I'm such a tomboy, but he didn't mind watching it. He doesn't use the internet or anything like that so I wouldn't call him a brony, but he did like watching it. Probably in part because we live in Texas, he thinks Applejack's voice is hilarious. LOL
  15. Oooh, that sounds cool, do you have a pic of it we can see? In Octavia's hall or somefink?
  16. Aww, that's too bad. My principal let us through but she was hesitant at first she spent like a weekend trying to figure out what the buck we were planning to do.
  17. I know several in my school, but the most random surprising one was at my job. I was working register and this girl maybe 13-16 comes up with her mom, and she was wearing a Rainbow Dash shirt. I looked her in the eye and said "That shirt is 20% cooler than any other shirt I have ever seen." She said thank you and shot her mom this kinda smug smile. I keep hearing about more that I know but didn't know were bronies from a nonbrony friend at another school (she won't be able to hold out much longer) She was talking to her friend about how her other friend (me) was obsessed with this weird show for little girls even though she claims to be tomboy, and her friend goes "Wait. She watches My Little Pony?" "Uh, yeah." "Tell her that she's awesome." She comes to church all dejected because she's surrounded by ponyfolk. XD
  18. Today was my high school's first My Little Pony: Learning is Magic official club meeting. [Friendship=magic=Twilight Sparkle=student=learning ] A few weeks back I and a few other bronies organized a Pony Party and planned to meet up and watch some MLP and PMVs and listen to music. We brought cupcakes and muffins and apple cider and punch. I made announcents and put up a few fliers around the building and to my surprise about 15-20 people showed up to party with us. The teacher who had lent us her room for the afternoon decided that there was enough interest for us to bother making it a regular thing, and we now have had an official meeting and about 10 attendees. And a few people who just showed up for the snackies and are slowly breaking. Soon... I even got the kids who do the announcements to let me open with DJ Alex S.'s Glitch Remix. Everypony was all And the other kids didn't think anything of it. Muahaha. I like hanging out on the forums and fimfiction and such, but it's really so much fun to hang out with bronies in RL. We had like a 5 minute conversation of pure meme. It was glorious. Does anypony else have little groups like this in their HS or college?
  19. Ponyville Confidential. It was funny, Demon Diamond Tiara got pwned, and Snails (best colt) got more lines. X3
  20. Oh boy, I make these kinds of things and put them on my Tumblr! Have some!
  21. NOPONY GIVE YOU SONG? WAT. http-~~-//youtu.be/Ix7vrluEm4E Yay new friends!
  22. This morning... This one guy walked over to me and started swatting at my ponytail (no pun intended) and I said "Don't flip my mane. I-I mean hair." It was a complete accident. XD Not that all the people don't know I'm pony-folk anyway, but it still made it less awkward because the guy was a brony friend of mine. LOL
  23. People can be so dumdum. :3 I totally understand that there will always be people who won't like MLP, just like every other show in existence, but I have more respect for people who actually WATCH it before judging or deciding it isn't for them. I mean, I used to LOATHE THE OPENING WITH A BURNING PASSION and now I can't stop humming it for some reason.
  24. I suppose, but it's Pinkie Pie so I dealt with it. Also, just think what it would've cost if it was just being sold, period. -_- So I kinda just liked getting it for free, too. LOL Some are nicer and/or more accommodating than others. Another location said they would sell the display first come first serve, but some straight up didn't know what I was trying to do, but I finally found a location near my job who's manager was willing to save it for me. I think she was a little sick of me popping up every Friday for new toys, but she was very nice. :3
  25. COLEEN CLINKENBEARD. Just because she is my VA hero. And then J. Michael Tatum. Because he is an awesome man.
