    Ask snow

    If you could visit any fictional universe (aside from the obvious choice on these forums x3;; ), where would you pick?
  8. Ahhhh, I see ^-^ Alicorn power must take a while to master, how long did your training continue for? o: Was it rough training in such a dangerous place?
  9. Oh? What events transpired that caused you to become one in that case? And abundant nature is always lovely to see! Do you ever go out into it to contemplate and such?
  10. How do you feel about your kingdom in its current state? What do you take most pride in with it?
  11. My girlfriend happened to find something she was completely unaware just lying around at home lately, and it's helping her out a ton in what would otherwise be a pretty rough few weeks for her : D This counts, what's lucky for her is lucky for me x3
  12. ~I love that I'm a pretty chill person overall, and can accept things easily to the point it catches people off guard x3 ~I love that I'm a very forgiving person, and couldn't hold a grudge to save my life ~I love that I've become pretty optimistic and attentive to the bright side of life, it makes it hard for me to lose sight of what's important ~I love that I'm open-minded about my flaws, and willing to take in feedback instead of getting bitter and never making a move to improve (that kinda attitude has not been kind to a few people I know ^^; ) ~I love that it doesn't take much to keep me entertained x3 ~I love being a nightowl, ahhhhhhh night is so peaceful and chill : D <3 Wow I'm a lot kinder on myself nowadays, two years ago I would probably only reach a list this size for stuff I hate about myself, probably double this size o.o;;
  13. Speaking as someone who was timid as hell two years ago, I think expanding one's comfort zone into the least intimidating area nearby, then the next, then the next, can do a lot of good raising one's confidence. Because if you aim straight for the end goal without tackling the little steps along the way, it can be a lot harder to feel motivated for it or know what to do, y'know? It's like opposing a game's final boss minutes into playing, of course some people can pull it off somehow, but it's more likely you'll get scared off and never want to attempt it again. For me, having confidence talking to people in real life is my final boss in a sense; I've still got room for improvement with it for sure, but by talking to people online these last two years- online being an amazing environment for me, as one where it's much easier to find friendly people with shared interests, without having to worry about seeing their faces (probably the scariest part of conversations to me x.x) and where I can take my time thinking of what to say- I feel I've somehow developed my social skills and become confident enough in them that I can be more competent at real life conversations, and have less to worry about tackling now that I've dealt with some of the big things such as starting a conversation, having the confidence to add more to them than just simple agreements, being assertive when I don't like how something is going, etc. Small steps make a big difference in the end, so don't stress yourself out if leaping straight for the goal seems impossible. Rome wasn't built in a day after all, but you can still get there all the same in time if you keep on building at a steady pace
  14. My mind might change on this in time, but for now, I think what matters immensely is to get as much happy fulfilment out of life as one can, without negatively interfering with other's quests to do the same. Kindness and love matters a ton too, of course, but I feel like a harmless, fun life kept to oneself still has value and meaning to it
  15. It's always incredibly nice to see threads like this around, thanks for trying to bring some more happiness to the interweb! Here's a few random things that make me smile~ Video game corruptions are one of the most hilarious things I know in this life, I especially like this guy's experiences with them
  16. The Doctor from Doctor Who comes to mind; dude's been around for hundreds and hundreds of years and seen the most horrible things, yet he's still as motivated and passionate about life as always. Not sure if I find any one incarnation more inspiring than the others, but the episode 'Heaven Sent' is by far where he shined the brightest, I feel
  17. I haven't gotten to do it quite yet (waiting for the person I'm doing it for to come online so I can check something first), but I'm hoping to buy a friend a rank they've been interested in, for a server they've been enjoying a lot lately. As for something someone did for me, one of the nicest people I know helped me out a few days ago by letting me vent about certain stuff that was bringing me down. It was especially nice of them, because they very likely felt the exact opposite about what I was talking about, yet they heard me out all the same and was open-minded through and through
  18. Found this in the news today, apparently this 92 year old woman has been volunteering for the Red Cross for 73 years now! Can't even imagine how much good she's accomplished through this, and she's still going strong
  19. My favourite channel uploaded my favourite kind of stream that I can never get tired of, so that was a pretty great start to the day ^-^
  20. Pretty thankful that I don't get as blinded by negativity as I used to be 3 years ago
  21. Vinesauce, single-handedly, has become the most frequent cause of my laughter this last year or so, partly because the level of randomness in some of his streams is right up my street x3;; 46:30 in this one is the latest moment I'm having a lot of difficulty keeping a straight face with, it's nothing much but somehow it really gets me
  22. I've never really looked into these too much, but seeing a little news story about light pillars lately really makes me want to witness them in my life time... nature sure can put on a show o.o
  23. I've posted here before, but for the sake of bumping a very nice thread (and also because wow younger me was cringe x.x)~ I guess one of the main things that gives me hope is to view people, and importantly the world, complexly; a few years ago, I let the questionable acts and fallacies of the world blind me and came to assume people were a lot worse than they really were and nothing more than their fallacies; not a nice mindset to have, to say the least. But paying more attention to the good deeds in the world, and trying to pick up on good intentions younger me might have not thought too much of previously, that definitely makes me more open to sources of hope, y'know? Out there in the world right now, there are people giving hugs and leaving tips, figuring out cures for diseases and devoting their lives to those they love, and that's not stuff I'd have thought to appreciate much back then! Of course the world isn't perfect, and some people are pretty crappy even when you try look deeper into them, but the vast amount of goodness (or at the very very least, redeeming factors of people) in this life motivates me to keep going and contribute to it where I can True friendships still also give me a lot of hope, both for my friends being lovely inspiring people and also since they really help me out of dark thoughts whenever I somehow slip into them ^^; And my girlfriend still gives me +10000000 hope daily because ahhhhhhh she's too perfect x.x Edit~ oh, and history! Because it's horrible :3 but that strangely gives me hope; knowing that humanity has come a long way (even if some will debate me on that x3;; ) since some of the travesties back then that were more commonplace, really shows to me that the world is making amazing progress in many things, and also reminds me that people have toughed their way through rougher times and survived... kinda makes some difficulties in life nowadays a little less intimidating ^^
