    Rarity's voice is just so perfect. I think it's hard to sound as sophisticated as she does without sounding completely off-putting and she manages to pull it off and be down right endearing. Tabitha's amazing. I also like Maude's voice because I find it soothing lol. Scootaloo has my favorite voice of the CMC. Ironically I like her singing voice the best too.

    My favorites are in order Rarity Rainbow Dash (they switched places for my first and second) Scootaloo Maude Sooo...two pegasai (that is my favorite pony race), but one can't fly and who knows if she ever will? I love Rarity because she's clever, and has some of the best lines of the show (IMO). Rainbow Dash is the type I can't help admire (which is why I relate to Scootaloo. I have high aspirations but also disabled to a small degree preventing me from doing everything to the extent I want to do it. Maude is just delightfully deadpan. I like the idea of flying so I prefer pegasai but for the most part that doesn't come in to play when choosing my favorites.

    I hated the concept of Starlight being a regular or semi regular but the premier made me actually really like her! Give it a chance. I'm quite pleased with all the episodes of the first season thus far. I wouldn't classify them as the best of the show, but solid, writing and entertaining.

    Let's say hypothetically that they were going to do a Live Action version of the Equestria Girls movie or a movie/t.v. show about humans that has the same characteristics of the ponies on the show. Who would you cast? I'm thinking Audrey Plaza of Parks and Recs would make a good Maude Pie.

    It would seem Celestia and Luna were not born alicorns. They acted just as confused/surprised as everyone else by this baby. If this was something that happened even on a rare occasion they also would probably have a better suggestion as for how to control FH's powers. The whole thing baffled them in the beginning.

    I wonder if there's ever going to be more explanation for FH's alicorn status or more explanation of alicorns in general. I'm also a bit thrown off by the comment about having to earn your wings as an alicorn. Does that mean that only unicorns can potentially become alicorns? I thought Cadence was formerly a pegasus....though I don't know where I heard that, since I don't think it was mentioned on the show, somewhere here probably...was that from the comics? I never read any of them so I wouldn't know about that. What about Luna and Celestia? Were they unicorns or pegasai? Do we know? I wonder if an earth pony has the potential to earn that title and gain both a horn and wings. Rambling questions aside, I find myself liking Starlight in this episode which is a pleasant surprise. Her guilt and insecurity made her a sympathetic character. Spike was well written too. I do hope that SG isn't the next alicorn though. I've had enough of them .

    I do often find Pinkie annoying but I didn't in this episode. I don't understand why many people do. I also love Rarity and Pinkie together (speaking in platonic manner) and Maude always makes me happy. I enjoyed Rarity's Pinkie impression too.

    Season 1. Party of One/Sonic Rainboom/Best Night Ever (three way tie) Season 2. Hurricane Fluttershy Season 3. Sleepless in Ponyville Season 4. Pinkie Apple Pie Season 5. Crusaders of the Lost Mark (say what you will about it, but I personally LOVED this episode and I started out not even like the CMC when I first started watching) . Honorable mentions are Tanks for the Memories and Hearthbreakers.

    What About Discord got on my nerves. It's one of the few episodes I didn't enjoy one bit. Discord can be a jerk at times but her friends should have tried to include her or see that she wasn't feeling good about being left out and told Discord to cut it out.

    Sweetie Belle! Her voice is so unique and of course, squeaky! I wonder if she'll be able to maintain that squeak as she gets older. I know she doesn't do it intentionally so it's hard to predict what will happen.

    I wouldn't watch it, that's for sure. Even with the story lines and music being the same, I couldn't tolerate it!

    I've commented before how I think her backstory is weak to the say the least, but other than that I found her to be an intriguing character. I'm curious what they do with her next season. I hope she is doesn't ease into the group too effortlessly. I'd like to see her struggle and make mistakes along the way but keep trying.

    She's just a filly and is still developing her personality. She learned and lesson and maybe need some more reminders and help along the way, but I think as long as she continues to try and break old habits there's no reason not to forgive her. In school I knew people like her who were mean and then something happened to them and they changed their ways. It can happen, and the best way to encourage it is to continue is to give them a chance, cautiously at first, but still let them try.

    Nothing wrong with romance or love, just there are few shows that don't focus on it, regardless of what the actual plot of the show is supposed to be. It's rare to see a show that doesn't have it and it's a refreshing change.

    I think each season gets better, except 3 which is the weakest, possibly because it was the shortest, though it did have a few good episodes (particularly Keep Calm and Flutter On and Sleepless in Ponyville). Anyway, yes I loved season 4 and season 5 outdid itself. I am looking forward to season 6. Maybe it'll suck, but until I've seen it, there's no point in speculating quality. Speculating plot lines is a whole other story....

    If it was well written I could deal, even if it was one of my favorite characters. That said, it's hard to do a major character death justice in a story line.

    Is tomboy an insult? I guess one could say it's a sexist term, but if that's the case, calling Rarity or Fluttershy "girly" could arguably be sexist too. I'm offended by neither term and don't see why that was mentioned as an example of RD hate.

    I find Trixie and Derpy overrated. Trixie is obnoxious and Derpy is fine but I don't get the obsession. I actually found Twilight overrated when I first was aware of the fandom. Everyone seemed to list her as their favorite. Now it seems like she doesn't get that much love. I don't know if I'd call her underrated though, but her ranks have definitely dropped from my observation. Is it the alicorn thing? Rainbow Dash is both underrated and overrated depending on who you ask. People either love her or hate her it seems. I'm in the former category. I also find the same thing true of Rarity, my second favorite of the mane 6 (they're in most ways opposites I know, but I guess I enjoy characters with big egos lol).

    The way I see it, they'll still be CMC, just crusading on behalf of the cutie marks of other ponies. They have matching marks because they are good as a team. Even their song said something to the effect of they've "only just begun."

    Celestia was able to banish Luna to the moon for a thousand years.....that's pretty telling, unless I'm missing something.

    Starlight seems more gifted in magic than Twilight does. Twilight had Celestia guiding her since she was young. Starlight was basically a loner (and cult leader) and did it all on her own. She definitely needs help with the friendship thing, but it seems she could teach Twilight a thing or two about magic perhaps. *Sigh* I wish she had a better backstory. She'd be much more compelling if it wasn't for her jealousy/loneliness/whatever over her friend's cutie mark.

    I'd like to see some Silverspoon character development. She lived in DT's shadow for so long it'd be interesting to see her try to figure out how she fits in now and what her purpose is/what her cutie mark means.
