  1. I like him sometimes. His episodes are hit or miss. I like his relationship with Fluttershy. To me it makes her more interesting, but the episode I I hated most was "What About Discord." I felt bad for Twilight. He was being cruel. However, I loved "Make New Friends but Keep Discord." It was a good lesson for kids (or posessive adults for that matter)....not to mention I loved Maude's role in it lol. I also liked "Keep Calm and Flutter On."
  2. Aspergers, ADD, major anxiety disorder, OCD, minor depression, insomnia.....
  3. I have too many physical and psychological issues. I love having time to myself and being in a quiet environment and I am non functional on low amounts of sleep. Most of my friends, acquaintances, or peers have kids or want kids (and think my husband and I are very strange for not) so I don't think it's a problem for the majority of people, except for the countries mentioned. Although the 1 child limit in China to my understanding can be overruled if you pay an certain tax, or if you live in a rural area (especially if your first child is female or disabled...) The sex ratio is a real problem for them, especially because a lot of females are wanting to leave China or stay single and focus on their career.
  4. I like how they look. I actually hope we learn more about them and they return. Not as another reformed character episode though, just so we learn more about how they live and feed on love and if they're all evil or have the ability for compassion, etc.
  5. Not redeemed, just learning a life lesson as all children/teens do (or most do, ideally). She made a mistake, learned and moved on.
  6. They already have more alicorns then I would have wanted so I no longer care if they add more. I just hope she's not the central focus to the season.
  7. Agreed. I mean, it actually does actually strike more than once in the same place in real life, but the odds of the show having this level of success next generation seems improbable even if many of the bronies/adult fans continue to watch.
  8. I like Luna because I relate to her psychological issues of obsessing over past mistakes. -_- That said, I also like Celestia and find it kind of interesting that for such a long time fans were upset that Luna didn't get enough screen time. Well she surpassed Celestia in characterization in spite of not having as much screen time as her. I do wish we could learn more about Celestia. One thing I enjoyed about the Slice of Life episode is the sister interaction. I wouldn't mind seeing more things like between the two, or having Celestia get an episode devoted to a day in her life, focusing less on the mane six.
  9. The ones I like the least have already been named. Razzle Dazzle and Glass of Water.
  10. I think it was a perfect time for them and I love that they're related. COTLM was actually one of my favorite episodes of the series. Some argue it was rushed or they may not like DT's sudden redemption but I think of anyone who can have a redemption so quickly it would be someone so young. I found the episode really creative and entertaining and I admired the CMC for wanting to help someone who was so horrible to them. I definitely don't think they should have continued without their marks and if they had gotten them sooner it wouldn't had had the same excitement level when they finally did get them.
  11. I was going to say Rarity's magic is white and her eyes are blue but upon looking back, I see that her magic is blue so I guess it does match her eyes though they are different shades of blue.
  12. I'm on the spectrum. It may appeal to us because it's a show focusing on what many of us struggle with, understanding friendship, social norms, a sense of belonging. Those things appeal to me, but I'm also in it for the music.
  13. My dislike of Starlight's redemption thus far stems from poor execution. Her reason for being "evil" was just badly explained IMO. Her friend getting his cutie mark just doesn't justify or make me sympathize with her behavior. That's why the idea of her being part of the mane 6/making her a mane 7th, is so unappealing. Her redemption in and of itself isn't something that bothers me. I'm all for change and forgiveness, however I think they could have given her a better backstory to make her more sympathetic.
  14. Rainbow Dash, rainbow! Rarity, purple the color of royalty.
  15. I found it hilarious. I especially loved Pinkie Pie exclaiming "nailed it!" at the end. I agree with those who state that it helps you feel for him so when he does redeem himself it has all the more impact. So there's a YouTube channel that exists for "educational purposes" documenting cringe-worthy brony moments? People have interesting hobbies.
  16. Just going on SA's reaction before the wedding even started, combined with Cadence's whole "Priincess of Love" role, I find this valid.
  17. Everyone sings a hugely epic Daniel Ingram production number and then dies.
  18. They're family. Family doesn't have to have a specific title as mother/son or brother/sister. They grew up together and love each other and even if sometimes it seems like Twilight takes advantage of him (referring to the "slave" comments), family can take advantage of each other sometimes. Siblings and even parents tease and antagonize too. It's the only the ones closest to you that you'd tolerate that from. They clearly love each other and maybe he'll move on some day but I don't see it happening soon. I don't think either of them has any desire for it either. Spike got it out of his system and Twilight has never implied she wanted him to leave. In fact, she promised him his fear of her not loving him would never come to pass. He'll always have a place with her as long as he wants it, and he clearly does since losing her is his biggest fear.
  19. It makes no sense to me that the would redub their voices. Just like the actresses the CMC are at an age where they are maturing and that's going to show in their voices. The only one who I can really notice is Claire and she still manages to do Squeaky Bell but even if she lost the ability, it just means her character is maturing just like she is.
  20. I'm pretty sure Britt does the singing and speaking for Cadence. I Googled her just to be certain.I know she's in a band with her sister, who is named Carly. I saw no mention of her having a daughter.
  21. My co worker has a daughter named Cadence. I'm not sure if it was inspired by the show or not. It's not a name that really stands out as being odd though. It just sounds like a variation on Candace to me. I've been meaning to ask but don't know if it's weird to do so. I wouldn't give my kid a legal pony name but I could see doing so as a nickname if it fit the personality. I think Rarity is pretty, as is Pinkie. Pinkie could make a cute nickname if it fit the child's personality. I also like Luna but that seems to be a very common choice for people with pet cats. Maude is a real person name and I love the character but I'm not sure how she'd be perceived in this day and age. I'm not even crazy abut the name.
  22. On an unrelated fandom forum someone posted a clip of Pinkie building a house and burying the hypothetical key and it made me smile. Pinkie was my favorite in the beginning and got me in to the show. Later RD and Rarity took her place but I have to give her credit for winning me over. The Gala song was what really sealed the obsession for me. I LOVE that song. I played it on youtube on repeat multiple times. Such quality for a little kids show. I used to like the G1 songs as a kid but with the exception of a small few most of them had pretty bad voice acting and mediocre musical scores. The only other cartoon that musically rivals MLP in my opinion is Phineas and Ferb.
  23. Rarity's semi psychotic laugh when she had those wings and was basking attention. It cracks me up every time. Tabitha can make some very unique sounds lol.
  24. All unicorns have basic magic they can do, but as Twilight said to Spike, her special talent IS magic. That's why her powers are more extensive. Rarity has powers to find jewels, to levitate things, other basic unicorn powers, and Sweetie Belle is starting to learn these things too. In response to what some others have said, whenever I feel bad about earth ponies, I just remember everyone would starve without them as per the Hearth warming play. Food is important. I do think earth ponies are supposedly stronger. I don't know if it's head canon or something that I saw that made me feel it was fact, but I always got that impression.
