  1. I see your point now, Twilight would be the only one sent to another universe... thanks for the explanation. Still I don't see what caused the Sonic Rainboom to never happen in those other universes, but I guess at this point it could be anything.
  2. Alright, here's what I understand: 1. Starlight uses a spell to go to another universe's past. 2. Starlight prevents the sonic rainboom in that alternate universe. 3. History goes on... Or are you saying that even if Starlight didn't prevent the sonic rainboom to happen their futures were already fated? If that's so, then it's hard for me to believe so, I think Starlight's actions mattered, whichever universe did they happen.
  3. My questions to you would be: 1. In which universes did Starlight Glimmer: made RD stumble, froze kid RD, convinced the bullies to stop picking on Fluttershy, etc..? 2. Are alternate universe Equestrias not Equestrias? I'm not saying her actions caused "Equestria A" to be destroyed, I'm saying her actions brought destruction over Equestria, I don't care if it is "Equestra B", "Equestria C" or "Equestria Z" to me they're all Equestrias even if the universes are different.
  4. As it has already pointed out, Starlight actually did several times as a consequence of her actions. If I would have to pick a villain that directly destroyed or tried to destroy Equestria, then I'd go with Tirek. In my opinion Discord and Chrysalis were closer to victory, but I don't think the "destruction" of Equestria was a part of their plans after winning.
  5. It's not Trixies fault to put Ponyville in danger, that's for sure. As a performer she took a risk using an embellished story that could be proven wrong under extreme circumstances, and if that exposure was enough to discredit her entire show then she was most likely relying too much on those kind of stories. That was her responsibility.
  6. Mmm, well Rarity is a tough one on the childish spectrum but I would go with the way she tried to imitate Applejack in Simple Ways. It was mostly out of jealousy but her attitude was pretty childish.
  7. I'm sure there must be many ships worse than Sparity and Fluttercord, but to me the two of them take the cake because of how they involve different species and huge age gaps (with foreseeable tragic endings). That being said, both of them actually have a good amount of nice fanart.
  8. I don't recall it being called any official name, I just refer to it as the "Chaos Realm".
  9. When I first saw Boast Busters it seemed to me that the mane 5 who were at her show knew her already (because of previous tours?) and were there just to bitch about her show while she was performing. No one does that if they don't have a history. Then when Trixie finishes and challenges them, they tried doing it putting up a (better?) show, but she just answered performing tricks that abused the three ponies that took the challenge. Here's when I was convinced about an untold history between Trixie and at least 3 of the mane 5. Having that as my headcanon, it seems that the mane 5 and ponyville in general did not act different than on previous Trixie's tours, what change at that time was that 2 ponies took Trixie's bragging too far, Trixie went from town to town claiming how she defeated an Ursa Major for marketing purposes. She was exposed to be a fraud and that's what ruined her career. It was her own false claim what backfired, not the mane 5's or ponyville's attitude towards Trixie. So... I also think Trixie was not that bad back then just had a sort of feud with the mane 5, but she was definitely the cause of her own fall.
  10. Great episode, it was overall funny and although I felt bad for some of the main characters, they were all amazing. I liked Starlight's support during all the episode and the manifesto joke was awesome! She's still ashamed, but is already confident enough to point it out with her friends. CMC capitalizing their popularity without being jerks were spot on! Mane 6 proving why they are the gems of the show, their reactions to stalkers and critics are simply amazing every one of them in their own unique way. Easy 9/10 on my list. S5 you've got a serious challenger for my favorite season and I really hope S7 may deliver in following weeks.
  11. Isn't that the whole point of Twilight's realization and Starlight's pardon? During the events of The Cutie Re-Mark Twilight saw time and again how the bonds of friendship strengthened Equestria, or rather how the lack of those bonds weakened Equestria, she had the choice to make Starlight pay for her mistakes and leave her shamed, friendless, bitter and marked forever by her past; or to show her the value of those friendship bonds Twilight is trying to spread across Equestria and show her how to form those bonds. How could Twilight had any moral ground to teach Starlight about true friendship without offering the chance to be her friend? How could Twilight offer Starlight true friendship after punishing her for her mistakes? It's not that Starlight didn't deserved to be punished, she wasn't punished for a reason: to strenghten Equestria.
  12. She doesn't seem to be that comfortable among them, my guess is that she feels intimated by their close friendship which makes her feel as an outsider when they're all together. I think she's fine with them as her friends, while at the same time she can become closer to other friends (Maud and Trixie at the moment).
  13. Ohh, so you're implying they are the same pony? I never saw G1, just curious. This actually gives me a good reason to check the earlier gens.
  14. How exactly do you know that about Applejack? I've never heard about it.
  15. You could almost do the same with the Pie sisters (with Pinkie's exception).
  16. Judging by personality and occupation, I would say that at the beginning of the show they were in the 17 - 21 range. Rainbow Dash and Twilight seem to be the younger ones, Fluttershy and Rarity seem to be the older ones. Applejack seems to be the most mature of them, but she probably had to grow quicker for the sake of the farm and her sister, I'd say she's younger than Pinkie.
  17. The thing is... People who don't watch horror movies see a horror movie icon and think "ohh, that's a scary/mature theme/reference". People who don't watch anime see an anime icon and think "hey, that's a japanese cartoon reference" without even thinking of the deep/disturbing themes explored in Evangelion or Utena, or without knowing that Ranma and Dragon Ball are heavily sexualised works.
  18. I don't see how it could be accomplished, the main driver for Jigsaw's victims is to escape from death. Since you cannot apply the same driver, the lesson to be grateful for being alive could not be learned and all the idea falls apart. About the mask cameo, I think it could still be too much for a show like FiM, even if kids don't pick them up, cameos of popular horror movies could easily trigger parents. Freddy's glove, Jason's or Hannibal's mask, Jigsaw's puppet are just a big no, there's too much risk and no gain whatsoever in including something like that in the show.
  19. I don't think that mixing gore psychopath movies in a cheerful kids show is even a topic among writers and editors.
  20. I think that Trenderhoof is exactly the way writers and editors wanted him to be, so I don't see any incidents with that character which would have caused Hasbro to play safe. After all, he was a safe play from the start, written as totally oblivious towards Rarity and highly annoying towards Applejack. A plot tool to have Rarity learn a lesson and nothing else.
  21. Incident with Trenderhoof? You mean in the show? or did it have problems with viewers/parents?
  22. Since her announcement on The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows, I assumed that she would be a princess being Cadance's and Shining Armour's daughter. Although, it would be nice if Celestia would give her a challenging task to earn her crown (in due time).
  23. I don't think there are as many hints or teases as it might seem. I honestly think that the only interest beyond friendship from any of the mane 6 was the one that Rarity showed in Trenderhoof on Simple Ways, and we all know how that ended. Everything else is just people with shipping goggles on (I know I have misinterpreted a few scenes because of it). I don't believe that romance is something the show needs and, as far as I can tell, the fandom does a great job taking care of that gap that shippers want to be explored.
  24. This, and it is personally the most attractive feat why I watch the EQG franchise. At least for the humane 6 we still have that.
  25. Both shorts are nice and funny, but they made me like EQG versions of Twilight, Spike and Celestia a lot less. I didn't like from the beginning that Spike was turned into a dog when going through the portal, but this short just put him at non-sapient creatures level. For me, his role in EQG universe doesn't give him tools to grow and that's the best feature I like from dragon Spike, so dog Spike has pretty much just fallen from my grace. With Scitwi I just remembered someone from when I attended middle school bragging about knowing it all... Girl, if you were ready for an individual research program, why are you bragging in a "lower prestigious" classroom? I know this is just my bias, but I didn't like that attitude at all. Principal Celestia was ok at first, but after the second interruption it just went dumb. Why would she go to fill out a teacher's class if she wasn't even done with her responsibilities as principal? At the very least I would expect her to delegate everything she hadn't done to Luna. I am overthinking about it too much, but it's just the first things that jumped into my head while seeing the shorts.
