  1. Yes, bronies ask for too much but I wonder how many of us do it only to wonder, discuss and overall "play with the possibilities in-universe" and how many do it with the will to actually make themselves heard from Hasbro/DHX.
  2. I have watched some episodes in the mexican dub (which I believe is used in the rest of latinamerica) and the voices are pretty good. But a good amount of titles, jokes and songs lose sense or grace over translation, so I still prefer to watch the show at its original english.
  3. As far as season 7 goes, my order for who would be a better mom among the mane 6 is: 1. Applejack - Has proven to be sort of a mother figure to Apple Bloom since S1 and has been improving at it since then. 2. Fluttershy - Is the most care giving among the mane 6 and has learned how to be assertive, although Angel still seems to know what strings to pull for her to be a pushover I don't think she would let any of her foals grow to be that way. 3. Twilight - She has a good amount of experience taking care of Spike. She has also taken care of Flurryheart and, as methodic as she is, Twilight probably set up a step by step guide to care for her niece after Flurry of Emotions. She would most likely be a very strict mother. 4. Pinkie Pie - It's safe to asume that her years (around two in my headcanon) of babysitting the cake babies should be enough for her to take care of her own foals, but I can see her having trouble once those foals grow a few years. 5&6. Rarity/Rainbow Dash: At this point, these two have little experience with their litlle sisters since it's clear to me that they act seldomly as mothers towards them. For me it's difficult to say who would be better, both of them have plus and cons. RD is a bit careless when performing any task, but is highly care giving and kind (showed with Scootaloo and Tank). Rarity is too focused on her job and has little time because of it, but with her highly detailed manners and great common sense she would probably grasp quickly how to perform as a mother.
  4. Good episode, I enjoyed the sisters' moments and how the episode showed the growth they have all had since Sleepless in Ponyville. As far as the legend's stories go, I liked the three of them but Mist Mane's took the cake, the moral was amazing and the sacrifice she went through was really emotional and inspiring. It's great to see how each of the heroes of the legends have inspired AJ, Rarity and RD, it seemed to me that they're building up a new "power up" for them to show at the season finale (and probably sell more toys with a new style) but I would love if that building up is handled to the CMC on future seasons. For me it was a nice 7/10 episode, but for some reason I think that this is one of those episodes that will grow on me a lot over time.
  5. So... you're judging Discord for not thinking about the consecuences of his acts, yet you indult Starlight for the same reason?
  6. I voted Sombra as most evil because I found slavery to be one of the worst things anyone could suffer, also because we saw on an alternate reality why did he wanted all those slaves... to fight fellow ponies under his control and take control of the rest of Equestria. For least evil I voted Discord because he seemed to be just a prankster back when he was a villain, he did mischievous deeds on purpose, but mostly to annoy ponies and stopping them to use the elements of harmony.
  7. I really hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised now that it called Spike.
  8. Actually is Applejack, but Rarity is pretty close. RD is more like the face of the show, but far from being best pony IMO.
  9. I think that Ember was using the anology of Thorax's earlier reaction to tell him "And if that doesn't work, show them how serious you are".
  10. They went to buy cigarettes. To another planet. And missed Equestria on their way back. Because they were riding two shooting stars.
  11. I don't think there's enough evidence of the map "seeing the future" yet, but I'm curious if that's the case. Although that would mean that the "unexplained predestination" card, which ShootingStar159 mentioned, is being played and even if that is valid on a fantasy world that would also make the map a lot less interesting. This is precisely why I started this topic, deceiving Spike intentionally seems a bit extreme to FiM's honesty levels, specially if the map itself was formed when the 6 representative ponies of the elements of harmony sat on their thrones together, and we all know one of those elements is HONESTY! It seems really twisted but I don't see another explanation yet. About the possibility of permanently damaging Spike's friendships I don't think things could have escalated that far, yes Ember and Thorax got upset at Spike for his assumptions but I think they value Spike's friendship too much to have let that misunderstanding keeping them from their first friend permanently. I see your "reasoning on the opposite" but it bugs me a little that at the moment the map called Spike, Ember and Thorax were not upset at Spike yet. So that particular friendship problem may have not been what triggered the calling. I believe so too, but didn't notice that "distraction logic" until the second time I saw the episode. Most of this forum's discussions are about overthinking the show, at least that why I come, but I don't let that issue to bug my enjoying of the ponies. The overanalysis is just a guilty pleasure I have from my anime-watching days.
  12. Hello everyone. I was trying to come up with a reason for the map to call Spike on 'Triple Threat', since I found it completely unnecessary the first time I saw the episode. First of all, it seemed that the friendship problem was caused by Spike, and Spike didn't even came up with the solution of the problem. So, why call him? After another watch I saw that Spike was actually being somewhat successful in keeping Thorax and Ember apart and he delegated that task only when the map called him, distracting him from his original objective to start looking for a "friendship problem" in town. So I wondered, what if the map called Spike to remove him from the situation long enough to cause the meeting of Thorax and Ember? - Thorax initial goal was to ask Spike (and only Spike) for leadership advice. - Ember initial goal was to ask Spike for advice on spreading friendship between dragons (and maybe being shown how ponies do it in Ponyville). The episode shows how Thorax and Ember were actually a better help to each other than Spike could have been, mainly because Spike has no leadership role in equestria. At the end, Thorax and Ember got good advice but their original problems are still not solved at this point and I came up with the following: the map objective was not to solve any friendship issue at all, but rather to form a new friendship between the Changeling Leader and the Dragon Lord. My question to all of you is, what do you think was the reason why the map called Spike? I'll be eager to read your thoughts and comments on this subject, specially if you have come up with a different reasoning than mine. Greetings!
  13. I like the dynamic between Applejack&Rarity and Trixie&Starlight, so I like those ships a lot.
  14. I'm not a native english speaker so I have a question about the use of 'hive' in this post. Isn't a hive supposed to be the place where some animals (mainly insects) build up their societies? Comparable to nests or lairs and not to packs? Back to the changelings question, I think the word 'swarm' fits them better, but I see the mindless vs individuals point you're both making. 'Pack' fits too once I read your thoughts on it.
  15. My favorite short at the moment alongside the "Monday Blues" short.
  16. With "To Change a Changeling" coming up soon, I would wait to see how they manage the dissidents' situation. I think it's safe to presume that Starlight and Trixie will help them to understand what comes next for their society and accepting the new ways of the swarm, if only because friendship solves everything in this particular world. With that solution Thorax could become more assertive on his commands without being too hard, he's already quite friendly so that makes me think he wouldn't turn into an authoritarian ruler no matter how assertive he becomes. I don't think they would go with a more realistic situation, because changing old customs on societies with recently overthrown governments is an issue that has been proven to be specially difficult without an authoritarian government, a soft leader not willing to impose the new way of things is most likely to face a polarization that could bring the society either to be divided in two or to fall into a civil war. And as I said before, I don't see Thorax turning authoritarian and I don't think a few assertiveness would help him to stop a polarization issue on a "realistic scenario".
  17. Rarity at first, she seemed to me the most cliched character from any "girls show" and that made her irrelevant for me, as I kept watching the show I realized I was wrong and I am so glad I did because she's now my favorite Pony. I disliked Rainbow Dash a lot during the first season at least, she has grown on me since then and I acknowledge she's actually a great character, she was the last mane 6 I liked and is still the mane 6 I like the least, but I still like her a lot. She has personality traits that I would probably never be able to love, but I understand that without those traits, she might have not been as authentic as she is as a character.
  18. I would be surprised, apart from Rarity we haven't seen anyone interested in a romantic relationship. Other than surprised, I could either be glad or upset about it depending how they handle the whole thing. I think Rainbow Dash would be the best one on that situation, if only to watch all the reactions among the fandom.
  19. Good episode, it reminded me of Too Many Pinkie Pies for it's general structure. I still don't care about Thorax that much, but it's still a good support for Spike (and now Ember). Ember was hilarious, I think the writers did an awesome job showing her first visit to Ponyville. Twilight and Starlight were good support, but it bugged me that they didn't try to get Spike back to his senses like he did for Twilight on Celestial Advice. I think that Spike being called by the map was unnecessary, the problem was already on its tracks and they had already pull out a few excuses for Spike to bounce over Ember and Thorax, it felt like they just wanted to show that Spike is not being left behind as one of the friendship council. The episode is clearly not one of the best this season, but it isn't the worst either, it gets a 7/10 for me.
  20. My favorite episode from season 4 is "For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils" there is no wasted moment on it and angry Sweetie Belle is too cute.
  21. I think a mature spin off would take away the general warmth that hooked me to the show in the first place. I enjoy mature content, but not coming from innocent shows such as MLP FiM.
  22. Slice of Life with a few magical adventure episodes would be best in my opinion.
  23. My favorite is Dance Magic, I love Rarity's faces when asking the girls for the money and the return of the shadowbolts sealed the deal.
  24. I wonder how does her talent work? and how far does it go? My guess is that she's just extra charming and persuades other ponies easily. But as we have seen in Ponyville Confidential, her methods are not infallible. In Silverspoon's case, I guess her talent is to be refined. At first it would seem like a poor talent, but what if she was able to quickly grasp other culture's manners? That would give her the tools to become a great diplomat.
