  1. Hello everyone. Wow, I must say this episode is great, I enjoyed its jokes and the amazing use of almost every character on it. I got the feeling that Rarity had been waiting for the photo shoot a long time and her excitement over it drove her to plan things to be perfect, that is one of the things I love the most about Rarity, she really goes all-in when envisioning a goal or a dream. The whole issue with Pinkie Pie was frustrating for me, I'll just acknowledge the super sticky party string moment as the way to get the plot where the writers wanted, but I think it could've been a different way to do it, one that didn't make Pinkie a total moron. I liked how they showed the transition towards Zecora's place, although the ponies are more confident now to not be scared when going through the Everfree forest they still feel uneasy to travel across it, which feels like a natural progression. I would say that Rarity's urge to get her mane cleaned and her focus on getting everything perfect for the photo shoot is what made her forget about the detail of checking if she had taken the correct bottle, she is usually not as careless as to let a detail like that passing by her keen eye. The episode made me feel for the poor Rarity when she saw her mane after that dreadful shower, everyone was right when they saw her, she looked terrible. I didn't think Rarity would be the kind of pony who lets her confidence fade after an accident like the one she had, especially when she's so amazing at styling things, but then I remembered how focused she was about her photo shoot, she even tells so to Zecora when she went for an explanation, she wasn't as shocked about her mane being destroyed as she was about not having it back by the time of the photo shoot, she was expecting that moment with joy and planned accordingly, but the accident so close to her deadline was what made her forget about her own skills to make things work out. The rest of the episode was kind of predictable and derivative, but the good moments and humor made it through without falling into boredom. Twilight and Starlight's combo was nice, I loved Twi's and Rarity's reaction when Starlight said her mane was "messed up", I also liked how the rest of the mane 6 tried to help her on their own way. Rainbow's cloud bending skills are beyond awesome, and this time she didn't even gloat about it! When Dash is helping somepony her best self shows off. The resolution of the conflict was really touching, the way they slapped Rarity with their thoughts about her and how she's much more that just a mane made me grin wide. Now, about the punk look, she looked fine but it seemed like a costume to me, what she gained back in confidence, she lost in elegance in my opinion. Then again, for the plot's sake it was an awesome come back to confident Rarity. When I thought the end was going to be a soft reminder of the lesson, BAM! They show how the mane 6 arranged back the photo shoot, including the amazing camouflaged Photo Finish, and showed Rarity that, after all, she had her moment. What an amazing ending! For an episode that was incredibly predictable, the last scene was a great surprise. I'll give this episode a solid 8.5/10, it has some big details setting up the premise, but the overall feeling I had during the episode made those issues fade into minor flaws that could've been better but didn't brought the episode down. If nothing awful happens on the next 7 episodes, I think it's safe to say that this will be my favorite season so far. Cheers!
  2. All Equestria Girls movies have been based on previous works, so I don't see this as a major issue. A 70+ minute movie is enough to set up the problem in human world, start the main plot with Sunset going to Equestria to find the source and let the rest of the humane 7 dealing with the danger/subplot at human world and develop things from there on both sides. Granted, it should have to be mostly an adventurous movie, which doesn't seem to be the focus on EQG movies so... probably I'm just daydreaming too much.
  3. I believe the greater chance falls on a somewhat distant EQG movie as a closure to the "equestrian magic leaking into the human world" theme/arc. If those magic leaks start to put the human world in danger, the girls would want to stop them and Sunset would be the best choice to explore the source of the leaks at Equestria. I don't see a plot like that fitting on a 10 min or 20 min episode, and a 2 parter 40 minute would need to be a bit rushed to do it, that's why I believe a 70+ minute film should do the trick. Also I would chose the EQG franchise for it because they have the arc already in motion and wouldn't need as much exposition as it would be needed in the FiM franchise.
  4. Not healthy, Spike should turn the equivalent of 12-13 human years and get over his crush on Rarity.
  5. The Evil Enchantress song without a doubt, well... if one could call that a song.
  6. I'd have to go with Twilight. Although I don't ship her with anyone in particular, I'm ok with either of the following ships: - Sunset/Twilight - Twilight/Rainbow Dash - Twilight/Celestia - Twilight/Starlight/Trixie (only as a 3-way ship because StarTrix rules)
  7. Princess of Friendship: Her title itself is enlightening if we think about it. She is trying to enrich Equestria with a better friendship between their citizens and befriend neighbour civilizations as you have mentioned. We have been shown on season's 5 finale that every true friendship in Equestria makes it stronger, so better friendships between its citizens is already a great deal to the whole land by itself. Expanding friendship beyond Equestria makes the land stronger by giving it allies and a better understanding of their differences between species. She is not an administrator or a ruler kind of leader, but she has definitely been a huge asset to the royalty.
  8. Even if he has only appeared one episode, I liked Quibble Pants with Rainbow Dash.
  9. RDFan89 sums it up well, the show have been in constant progression from the beginning and if it hadn't done that it may have already exhausted its formula. The formula is changing each season, so they probably would make it last for another 2 - 4 seasons without making it tiresome.
  10. Wow, you really played with the words there! Some of them are indeed amazing coincidences. My favorite ones from your list: The 491 used words is the best one! With all the opinions in the fandom and great characters in the show, the general conclusion should be that, in fact, everypony is best pony! (ass odd as it sounds)
  11. I see her with a cute hedgehog or dwarf armadillo. I don't know why, but I think they suit her.
  12. I found Zecora to be the resemblance of a foreigner living in a new country, one that keeps her traditions and also involves herself in the community she's a part of now, granted she's actually from a different species. So, to answer your question, I think she's a Zebra that can be considered a "Pony" from the social perspective without a problem. Although, there's a better description for that concept, she's a "citizen of Equestria" as much as Spike, Mathilda, Cranky and all equestrian ponies we know.
  13. I found this episode very entretaining, it had a good premise, Pinkie and Dash were endearing on their support to A.K.'s hard time, the city and legend of Sonambula were greatly shown as ancient/modern Egypt societies, but I didn't feel too moved or excited about it. Maybe I was not in the mood, but with everything that was going on in the episode I felt like I should have been more excited at their travel to Southern Equestria or thrilled about Sonambula's story or Rainbow Dash's kidnap, but I really didn't feel it. I knew it was entretaining enough for me to watch the episode without distractions, but it failed to lure my emotions out as I would have expected. Overall I think it is a good episode (probably even great), just not the type of episode I invest myself too much on. I'll give it a biased 6/10.
  14. I agree with you both, adding Trixie to the opening credits is pretty much backed up at this point but not as much as to adding her alone. There are a few other important characters that may be added alongside her, in fact I think that Maud and Grand Pear are a bit more important for the intro by now, being permanent residents of Ponyville.
  15. First of al, awesome job @SasQ it's interesting enough to find the more mentioned ponies and places and with this work is fairly easy to check it out. Now, looking for the word "nightmare" (104 times said), I found something interesting at the words used 99 times... "trixie took team rock baby" - Now I want to take team rock baby too! Anyways, I found it funny that these words actually form a phrase, if any of you find out another instance of a phrase or sentence on the file I would like to check them out. Cheers!
  16. I liked this episode a lot, Pharynx is such a tough and serious character, his personality is so straight forward that it clashes with the way every other changeling reacted to the new ways of the hive and the transformation. I really liked him and his sense of humor, which by the way was amazing the whole episode! I can't get enough of the Starlight/Trixie combo, the dynamic they have is outstanding, I believe they're the pair of ponies who make me laugh the most when shown together. I had trouble liking Thorax in older episodes, it always seemed to me that he was too soft, softer even than most ponies and that didn't seem right to me for a changeling. But on this episode (and probably because of Ember's help) I really cared for and liked Thorax, specially when he was doing everything he could to help Pharynx to be involved within the hive, even standing his ground in front of the changelings who wanted his brother out, now that's the stuff leaders are made of! The lesson was another thing I liked, how it was not an issue of Pharynx to soften out but about everyone else realizing that Pharynx is an asset to their hive and that them embracing him was what he needed to feel useful again. Overall an awesome episode, solid 8/10 in my opinion.
  17. Nope, not the episodes I was thinking of... "Apple Bloom's cousin is a real mean jerk": Babs Seed. "Pinkie Pie doesn't like her twin.": Marble? I'm blank on this one. Mine again: Applejack goes on a trip.
  18. "Ponies think Rarity is weak, but she isn't.": A Dog and Pony Show. "It is an episode about Spike talking to a bird": Just for the Sidekicks? My description: Applejack goes on a trip.
  19. 1. "For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils": No single minute goes wasted, it's like Sweetie Belle's version of Sisterhooves Social (but with Luna on it!!). 2. "Twilight's Kingdom": Discord's true redemption and Twilight's key, Avatar level magical fight plus two amazing songs! 3. "Flight to the Finish": The best song of the season IMO with the best training montage I've seen since South Park, also RD trying to ease down her usual loud self is kind of funny. 4. "Simple Ways": I simply loved the way Applejack handled things showing how much she had learned about Rarity. 5. "Trade Ya!": Pinkie Pie as a savage dealer cracks me up, the dynamics between RD&Fluttershy and AJ&Rarity were awesome! There's few episodes that really show how much have the mane 6 grown and learned from each other and this is one of them.
  20. Rarijack and Fluttercord can coexist in peace, no problem.
