  1. Not really, but a handful of episodes after season 5 kind of make you forget that it is one at its core.
  2. I'm just about to, actually, while I continue with my Japanese. Shouldn't take too long.
  3. My top two are Twilight and Fluttershy since the beginning. That hasn't changed, but then Applejack later moved up some thanks in no small part to her development.
  4. She had some potential to turn over a new leaf. That look on her face at the end of CotLM kind of showed she'd never again try to badmouth anypony in front of her own daughter, but in seasons 6-9 she stays pretty much the same.
  5. No, it's enough that I drink beer. but I don't intend on smoking ever. I've always hated the smell of nicotine.
  6. None of the Mane 6 have ever annoyed me, not even Pinkie Pie in Filli Vanilli; I let that one slide because it was actually funny, even if it was Fluttershy on the receiving end, but that was it. After that, she started to get grating. It wasn't the character's fault, it was the newbie writers who couldn't write her competently. Funny thing is, Andrea Libman is actually better known for voicing gentler, smarter, and more easy-going characters (eg. Emmy, Lemon Meringue, Madeline, etc.) than Cloudcuckoolanders.
  7. Even if Netflix doesn't need to advertise, I'm going to be the first to say that, trailer or not, I think I'm going to wait until the series proper wraps up its first season. This way, I can see if it will be worth watching because as it is, I don't have high hopes for G5, and neither do some of you, I can see. I got hyped for the LPS reboot when trailers started dropping, but then the series itself turned out just... marginal. That was the last time I ever went in blind on a new series, so I'm not going to do it with this one.
  8. There's quite a few of them. Andrea Libman in Dragon Tales, which also had Chantal Strand, Kathleen Barr, Ian James Corlett, etc. It was the very first voice I've seen her do, but I didn't know at the time. Colin Murdock, Lee Tockar, and Scott McNeil in The Twisted Whiskers Show. Nicole Oliver, for those who haven't seen it, was in Inuyasha: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass. Tabitha St. Germain as Pepper Clark and Mona Autumn in LPS. I know she's done tons of voices, but these two were outstanding. Patricia Drake (Ms. Peachbottom) as Griselle Grande in Polly Pocket. Maryke Hendrikse in Black Lagoon. What a treat, now I'll never look at Gilda the same way again. Ingrid Nilson as Raspberry Torte in Strawberry Shortcake. Dude, go for it. It's got musical numbers that'd give MLP a run for its money.
  9. I'll listen to just about anything, but mostly I listen to folk music, metal, chillout/ambient, LoFi, etc.
  10. Highest: Twilight Sparkle, Cheese Sandwich, Lyra, Minuette Lowest: Fluttershy, Spoiled Rich, Svengallop, Discord, Chrysalis Now I say Svengallop because although his actions were dickish, it's likely he has standards. If he saw any of those child pageant shows, he'd puke.
  11. Polly Pocket 2018 on Netflix. For a series based on Mattel's line of toys, it was pretty damn riveting. It spoke to me because I've always wished I had the ability to shrink and grow at will and use all manner of crazy gadgets. There was supposed to be a season 3, but I don't know if that'll ever happen. My only gripe at this point is that I feel like it left Griselle and Gwen's arc on a cliffhanger.
  12. Holy shit. I knew China leaked several episodes, and the Dutch did the finale, but God. All. Mighty. That was one hell of a year for everyone trying to avoid spoilers; meanwhile, all I did was sit back and watch the fireworks.
  13. I've never thought much of Haber's involvement with the show, let alone the rest of the writers, new or veteran, because I was focused more on the content and dialogue of each episode. Maybe that's why I thought Newbie Dash was a good episode, though I still concede that it could've been better somehow. It wasn't until halfway through season 7 and the start of season 8 that I started to pick up on the shift in tone and who was writing what episodes. @MegasWhat leaks are you talking about?
  14. Sephiroth for Smash has really hit the ground running since he came out, he's so much fun. Byleth was also designed for patient and strategic players, and most Smash players (in my experience) are neither of those things, so there's that too.
  15. Well, I've had Chick-Fil-A for the very first time - it's actually been a while since I've had commercial fast food - and it was an 8/10. I had a spicy chicken sammy with just lettuce; the bun was soggy and the lettuce was wilted-looking, but they complemented the chicken, which was the star here. The texture was like tempura, crispy and tender, and the flavor wasn't so spicy you couldn't taste the meat.
  16. Sasoriman

    general media Wasted characters.

Not just Marble, Limestone too. By supporting role standards, Maud got the lion's share of screen time compared to those two. That's not a bad thing, but the show definitely could've had more Limestone and Marble.
  17. Ravenclaw, but if I got to choose, it'd be Slytherin.
  18. Anime - Thanks to MLP anime's been kind of a rarity these days, but these were the last ones I watched back when I had Adult Swim. Inuyasha Ghost in the Shell FLCL Fullmetal Alchemist Case Closed Shin Chan Paranoia Agent Samurai Champloo Cartoons MLP Strawberry Shortcake (2009 series) Kate & Mim-Mim LPS (2012) Pound Puppies 2010 Maryoku Yummy The Twisted Whiskers Show Polly Pocket 2018
  19. Yep. You can buy/download whole seasons or episodes, and if you have a remover (I use TunesKit), it's yours forever. I have them saved to my desktop and a backup copy for a flash drive in case my computer dies. I still have physical copies of all the Harry Potter movies, and am looking into buying some old PS2 games.
  20. Any day now, Seth will stand up and say, "Screw this, I'm done." I haven't seen the show for years, but there was this clip I saw of Brian and Quagmire fighting, and when I thought they were really going to kill each other, they reconciled. It's a stretch, but that might be a sign of things to come.
  21. Not if you have a DRM remover. I bought episodes of Kate & Mim-Mim and The Twisted Whiskers Show from iTunes and removed their protection.
  22. Same. But on the Game Grumps, those guys are hilarious. I've read so much about them, but never got around to watching them until I saw their run of Super Mario Maker. The first one I saw with Arin and Jon was their Goldeneye playthrough, which got funny when Jon (or was it Arin?) started losing it, but their run of Super Mario Maker with Dan was what made me start watching them more. I like a few popular YouTubers, Markiplier being one thanks to his Try Not To Laugh series, DashieGames for his freakouts, and FaZe Jev because he reminds me of Jim Carrey's Liar Liar. But other than that, I don't watch a lot of popular channels, just people trolling kids on Fortnite, music, and cooking videos.
  23. My mom never told me I had autism until I was 16. We were both coming home from her old workplace one day and she told me how she had to fight the school system to stop them from labeling me mentally retarded and putting me on drugs in the days when this kind of thing wasn't fully understood. All of my siblings seemed to know that I was different a lot better than I did.
  24. I wish I could say I remember it from when it first premiered, but Discovery Kids was always that wallflower network with nothing going on, just living in the shadows of Nick, CN, and Disney, which, by the way, were all I ever watched those days. And the shows airing on those channels at the time were freaking garbage, so it's a wonder I didn't axe them sooner. But all in all, I'm glad I got to experience The Hub in some capacity.
