Since GF has been brought up I gotta say that I gave it a shot like a week ago after hearing about it quite a bit around the net. (kind of like how I got into MLP) It's quite a good show, with enjoyable characters and humor.

Pokemon White - I'd say that Gen V is Pokemon's strongest gen yet, both amongst the DS ones and of overall. It introduced a lot of new Pokes that I love, in contrast to Gen IV that only had a dozen or two that fit said bill. Kirby Super Star Ultra - Great remake. Takes the content-packed Super Star and throws even more content in. One of the franchise's best games. Super Mario 64 DS - Never got to experience the original version, so this was a new experience for me. Loved that there was more exploration than usual for a Mario game. Animal Crossing: Wild World - I didn't get hooked as fast as I did with the original, but this still grew on me over time. Unlike the later City Folk, (which felt just like the GCN with a few lackluster, detrimental even, features thrown in) WW felt like it had a bit of uniqueness to it while it retained the standard AC formula. And portability's without a doubt a plus. Super/Scribblenauts - There's a feeling of untapped potential within them, but that's not to say they weren't great fun to mess around with in the sandboxes. Hoping that the Wii U/3DS sequel will at last tap that potential what with its even greater amount of customization.

I dunno if I'll use this new feature as much as most people, but I'm glad it was implemented for those who are blogging types. As long as people enjoy it, I'm content.

Why are so many people arachnophobic?
moneyshredderofdeath replied to Tol'Satha's topic in General Discussion
Insects and arachnids have the very unappealing eyes, abdomens, exoskeletons, etc. so it's pretty understandable why there's appropriate phobias. I'm no spider fan myself, though admittedly they aren't as horrid as flies. A shame that there's no way to obliterate those flying little buggers without any ecosystematic consequences. -
I heard that Reddit used to allow child pornography and only started cracking down after they noticed considerable attention brought to that fact. That alone makes the site a complete no no in my book.

Modern teens and what you think of them?
moneyshredderofdeath replied to Lunalicious's topic in General Discussion
My experiences with high school classmates were more bad than good (though I did have a few acquaintances I could trust) and I easily preferred the teachers. However, teenagers are too large a group for me to generalize by the most notorious traits. I don't want to go by any type of "lost faith in humanity" mindset as I think those are quite over the top, especially when you consider a lot of teenagers that are currently immature will likely improve with age. I rather just focus on the people I enjoy company of, as well as making myself as good as I can possibly be. -
gaming Favorite Nintendo 64 game(s)
moneyshredderofdeath replied to ~Sugar Sprinkles~'s topic in Media Discussion
Didn't grow up on N64 so my only exposure to their games has been through Virtual Console releases. That being said, of the few N64 games I've played I enjoy Super Smash Bros. and Kirby 64. (combining abilities was pretty nifty) -
I understand its a major site but 4chan doesn't appeal to me. I'll let other people go to it if they want, but from my general experience 4chan and severe bitterness seem to go hand in hand. By no means am I saying that you're automatically a spiteful scrooge if you go to 4chan, but the environment to the site generally gives me bad vibes. I know they kickstarted the MLP phenomenon and there are occasionally funny images that see their birth at 4chan but I wouldn't wade through the mire in a sewer just because word around the street is a gold nugget is down there.

Any history nuts here?
moneyshredderofdeath replied to Dr.RedundantPh.D's topic in General Discussion
Usually when I read a book, it's something about history. US Presidents are a particular interest, I can name them in chronological order by heart in under a minute. -
Things you loved as a kid but not as a teen/adult.
moneyshredderofdeath replied to Nico's topic in General Discussion
I used to like practically any cartoon that was thrown my way. While there remains a few (ie SpongeBob) I can still enjoy today, others like most Klasky Csupo shows and the dreadfully repetitive Pokemon anime I won't touch.- 68 replies

I think MLP's darkest moments thus far like that of the Canterlot Wedding eps are in essence the darkness cap. In comparison to the majority of shows in a similar intended audience, FiM goes beyond typical boundaries but not in a way that isn't kid friendly. Similar levels to Canterlot Wedding I'm sure of happening but nothing much more.

gaming Nintendo Power shutting down
moneyshredderofdeath replied to SPLinux's topic in Media Discussion
I've read NP for six or so years. Goes without saying it isn't exactly a reliable source of reviewing (Though frankly the same goes for video game reviews in general. I'd rather get input from people I know on whether a game's worth a shot) and that as a source of info it's pretty much moot with the Internet around. But I loved the highlighting of wonderful fan works near the end of each issue. -

Fires, Earthquakes, Tornadoes, and the like.
moneyshredderofdeath replied to DashingRainbow36's topic in General Discussion
I did experience an earthquake once, the 2011 Northeast USA one that many felt. It didn't do jack but I still felt frightened since I would've never expected an earthquake in here of all places. And there was recently a fire at a nearby house. It didn't affect my house, but had the wind blown that day, who knows... strange to think about.- 48 replies

Public Service Announcement - Don't Hit Trees
moneyshredderofdeath replied to Creamy Arty's topic in General Discussion
Thank God the lady turned out okay. Especially consider how many others aren't so lucky, like the school people you mentioned. I'm of driving age but am only going to start in a few weeks time, and in a way my hesitance compared to others is a good thing since with hesitance comes carefulness. -
Looks good to me, and it's nice to experiment by trying angles that the show doesn't really use. Octavia looks quite lovely as usual.

Zoop rises from the dead. Of not really being dead. Grats to Scootacool to his new position! I enjoy your presence on the forum, you're quite friendly and well spoken. Gonna guess that Devin was making a reference to Scootacool's pony of choice.

The latest proposal looks decent to me. I certainly like how it has a method for handling anyone who tries to take advantage of the system. -
Bill Cosby is not only the spokesperson for jello pudding, but he also invented it. He even published instructions for how to make jello pudding, but no one can decipher it: Step 1: Find the flip florp smorgin horgin shibida dobba. Step 2: Mix the flinger flanger earphone buffalo rega garra spling with the artichoke zeppelin nuff huff spalla puff. Step 3: Wait for shebelaffa hoffa laffa xylophone slices.

Fluttershy or Twilight, Applejack after that. Flutter wouldn't be very harsh and I would have plenty to discuss with her regarding animals, which are the one thing she can really converse about. Twilight would be able to help with organization, something I'm not too good at. She could help motivate me to read more, as well. Applejack's mellow and efficient. She's someone who would never be bothered by someone provided they mean well. For those of the Mane 6 I didn't mention as possibilities... Pinkie is an entertaining character but too hyper and noisy to live with. I've never really been a party person. Dash is too pushy for me and I doubt I'd work well with her brashness. Though Rarity is my second favorite in terms of ponies I wouldn't be the most interested in rooming with her, (more than PP or RD though) considering her dramatic flair.

gaming Favorite Kirby Copy Ability
moneyshredderofdeath replied to Sepia-chan's topic in Media Discussion
I'm gonna guess you're referring to Kirby's Adventure, since that was the earliest game to have UFO Kirby or abilities in themselves, though it's been in some of the later games as well. And now that my memory's been jogged I quite enjoyed the UFO form myself. -
gaming Favorite Kirby Copy Ability
moneyshredderofdeath replied to Sepia-chan's topic in Media Discussion
I liked Kirby 64's Explosive Ninja Star combo ability. (Bomb + Cutter) There was just something satisfying in firing one; it's quick but can affect a distant enemy if you're aligned right. And I loved seeing Kirby don his Smash moves with the relevant ability in Amazing Mirror.
