  1. I agree with this so much. I actually feel bad for kids these days they don’t get a chance to be a kid. It’s sad, I mean when I was younger I’d watch South Park because I thought it was funny and the cool thing to do, my parents would catch me watching it and tell me not to, I’d still watch anyway when they weren’t around but I can see being older now from a different perspective why they would say that. Kids 3-10 don’t need to be exposed to things like SAW and Family Guy, it just desensitizes them at an early age. Kids need to be kids and I think we as a society have failed when kids that young feel like they need to be watching SAW, or that parents don’t prevent their kids or deter them from watching adult material in the first place. I think you are right kids should live in a fantasy world at a young age, they should have an idealistic outlook on the world, stuff like Family Guy weather they understand every joke and reference or not ruins that.
  2. That’s the exact same reason I joined, I’ve come to learn that in my experience this is by far the best fandom, you guys all rock.
  3. I had the luxury of being 18 and living in Australia so I got to legally drink for a little while . You can never go wrong with Jim Beam, that was always my favorite. I was never a fan of sugary stuff because it would always make my stomach sick.
  4. Welcome to the forums I’m new myself, I hope you like here.
  5. I'd go with Derpy to go retrive the southern birds haha make sure she doesn't go north or west this time. hahaha XD
  6. Ooooooooooooooh! I saw the profile pic and thought I had to leave a comment. XD Regular Show for the win.

  7. I'm dying for Halo 4 right now, I have the speical edition pre-ordered and have it on one day shipping. XD Dead Space 3 should be pretty cool too.
  8. Thanks a lot for the advice. Yeah, I don't really see a way around it and I don't really have a problem with joining though. I'd just rather dedicate all my time to school. I'll try and take classes here and there while I'm in, also my major is computer science.
  9. I have been a massive Regular Show fan for over a year now, andI have never heard that before. Am I just out of the loop or something?
  10. Can I just ask how is everybody else getting through college? Right now I’m 19 going on 20 in December, I’m in community college right now. I’m living at home and I am lucky enough to have parents who are able to pay for my tuition and all that. I really want to get out of my house and right now for me it looks like the only want I’m going to be able to pay for college and get out of the house is the military. I don’t really mind joining but it’s not what I REALLY want to do, I’d just rather stay in school, get a degree, and start a career. Does anyone have some advice?
  11. I think the show would still be great, but I have a Derpy on my wall and I love to look for her in the background so I would defiantly miss that. If she were to just disappear I think the show would take a minor hit but nothing too significant.
  12. I saw this a while ago and pretty much spazzed. I love the goof-ball heros, the ones that have some personality like Iron Man and Spider-Man. I prefer it to more serious characters like Captain America. It looks like it could be an awesome game.
  13. I have the same AJ and she looks fine, just where is her hat?! I feel bad for my poor Applejack without her hat, she is incomplete.
  14. Wooh, first friend! Nice to make your acquaintance there AJ. XD

  15. If you could combine the shyness and quietness of Fluttershy and the loyalty of Rainbow Dash then I think about describes me pretty well.
  16. I hear that BROther haha XD I like some of the points that have been raised in the defense of the term “brony” like I said before it doesn’t bother me too much, I just don’t want to see it be used by outsiders I guess just to get a rise out of people or to try and make themselves seem like they are apart of some counter-culture when they aren’t even a fan of the show in the first place. That just makes us all look bad.
  17. 1. Becoming the Dragon - Trivium 2. The Four Horsemen - Metallica 3. Good Day - Angles and Airwaves 4. Pulling Teeth - Green Day 5. How to Disappear Completely - Radiohead (This list is subject to change) XD
  18. Yeah, personally if someone asks me I just say "I’m a pony" I like that better personally. I don’t mind the term "brony" but the shirts that simply say “brony” are a bit annoying in my opinion. I can’t understand why someone would want to associate themselves with a whole fandom they are not really interested in just to be different, It’s just annoying, also people who go out of their way to let everyone know they are into ponies just seems like you are screaming for attention and you’re more interested in people’s reaction and arguing then the actual show. I feel like the term “brony” is an enabler for that, it is just another label like jock, or emo, or nerd, it makes us seem cliquey which is just not the case. In short I don’t mind the term it makes it easy when you’re talking to someone or if it somehow comes up in conversation, but it does make us seem a bit cliquey in my opinion.
  19. I wouldn’t worry too much. I’m assuming you’re starting college. I’ve had people as old as their 70s in class before and they did just fine.
  20. Personally I think it would be pretty adorable if Spike and Rarity ended up together, having said that I feel if it actually happened it would somehow ruin the integrity of the show.
  21. I guess I was a “closet brony” for a while. I was more in denial than anything that I liked the show, but as I continued to watch the show and learn as well as connect with the fandom it became less and less of a big deal. My family knows I am a brony and so do some of my friends, I don’t go around telling everyone about it but if it comes up in conversation then I’m open about being a fan. I actually wore my Fluttershy shirt to school last week for the first time and was honestly a little worried that people would comment about it or make a fuss over it, but I decided I wasn’t going to let the fear of what people may do or say to me dictate what I wear, I am who I am. Thankfully nobody said tried to poke fun or make a big deal of it at all. I think it’s real sad that some of us bronies have to be “in hiding” in the first place. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is just a TV show and a damn good one at that. Because the show isn’t very masculine or intended for a male audience we are immediately thought of as “weird” and “gay” but sadly that is the reality. I think the less of a deal we make it the less of a deal it is.
  22. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (obviously) The Big Bang Theory Regular Show Fullmetal Alchemist
  23. Am I the only one who dies when Applejack pulls that face in The Return of Harmony and in A Canterlot Wedding? Plus in the Cutie Pox episode I literally lol when she says “My sister’s speaking in fancy.” Those are some of the funniest scenes in the whole series in my opinion.
  24. Ah, unfortunate story, but an entertaining one for sure! Just a stroke of bad luck. What’s up with the cards though? I saw them once at Wal Mart and was like but alas I had no money, are they just collectables?
  25. That comment right there just made my day . It’s true though, TV these days, cartoons in particular are seeming to get worse and worse with a few exceptions.
