      As far as innovation in the FPS genre I would say COD takes the cake. Initially it changed everything, now they are holding close to there formula which is getting them sales regardless of peoples opinions. Therefore I'd say COD is the best FPS.

       

      Also I prefer GoldenEye over both Perfect Dark and Timesplitters.

      CoD, innovative? My sides, they're gone. My lungs, I'm dying.

       

      Doom and Halo are the only ones that really brought unique features to the table, Doom really defined most FPS games and Halo defined sci-fi. CoD defined rereleasing the same game every year forever.

      I never said it changed much after that, it added a nice bar to hold up too when it was released CoD 4.

       

      When it comes to Doom it re-released the same junk. Doom did the same thing CoD had done with Doom II and the other games seeming more like Map Packs rather than sequels. Halo was good for Sci-Fi, however that does not mean I like it. I find Halo boring but it really isn't comparable to other games.

    Yeah, I did read them. While it did give some information it wasn't enough details for my taste. I guess I might just be being picky because I'm one of those gamers who think that a good story is the most important part of a game.
